She was preceded in death by her parents, Amarante and Josephine Castillo, infant son, Joseph Patrick Carrillo and brother, Johnny Castillo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond A. Carrillo; children, Veronica Garcia, Sandra Mileski, David Carrillo and Lisa Carrillo; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sisters, Laura Chavez, Marie Castillo and Lena Zeve and brother, Tobias Castillo. CHAVEZ -- Mrs. Senida Q. Chavez, 64, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 7, 2004 peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Chavez is the beloved wife to Mr. Mike Chavez, married for 39 years. Mrs. Chavez is also survived by her loving children, Gloria Ruiloba and husband, Jose, Miguel Ruiloba, Andres Ruiloba, and Esteban Ruiloba; one sister, Rosa Leos; nephews and nieces, Gary Meza and wife, Kristin, Rudy Vadillo and wife, Corrine; nieces, Linda Feliciano and husband, Jose, Sandra Contreras, Phillip Contreras, Susanna Contreras, Chris Quiroz, David Quiroz, Tony Quiroz, Arnold Quiroz and wife, Rozanne, Annette Vela and husband, Joe; and many cousins and friends. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Legacy Church, Retired from U.S. West in 1998 after 25 years of service and was recently employed at T.V.I. A visitation for Mrs. Chavez will be Friday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Legacy Church, 7201 Central NW with Pastor Steve Smothermon officiating. PADILLA -- Irenes Padilla, age 87, went home to be with our Lord on December 7, 2004. Irenes was born and raised in Gonzales Ranch, New Mexico and has lived in Albuquerque for over 50 years. She is dearly loved and survived by her daughters: Virginia Padilla of Carmichael, CA; Irene Rose Little and husband, Frank; Margie Griego and husband, Lawrence; Mabel Albers and husband, Ronnie; Katie Chavez and husband, James; Mary Stevenson and husband, Darius; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Arsenio Gonzales; her sister, Nestorita Baca; and many other family and friends who will greatly miss her. Pallbearers are Bryan Stevenson, Frank Little Jr., Lee Chavez, Manuel Chavez Jr., Paul Chavez, Chris Little, and James Chavez Jr. The Mass will be held at East San Jose Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. CHELF -- George E. Chelf, Jr., 84, died on Saturday, December 4, 2004 in Albuquerque where he has lived for the past 54 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Erneal Chelf; his children, Glen Chelf and wife Lorraine, Brenda Williams and husband James, Robert Chelf, Linda Baker and husband Rev. Eugene; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A visitation for George will be on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 608 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE where a funeral service will follow at noon with the Rev. FOWLER -- Tammy Kristel Fowler, 28, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2004 in Socorro, NM following a tragic accident. She is survived by her parents, Debbie (Monette) and Chet DeMoss and Billy D. Fowler; three sisters: Tracy, Tristen, and Narissa; two brothers: Travis and Nathaniel; her two nephews: Trenton and Jayden; a niece, Taelene; her maternal grandparents, Chuck and Charlotte Monette; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill and Shirley Fowler. Tammy was a member of Socorro High School Class of 1995 and loved participating in Athletics. She made it known on many occasions that the proudest moments in her life were those when she wore the No. 42 jersey as a Lady Warrior from 1992-1995. Following high school she attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM before returning to Socorro, where she continued her love of sports on the women's softball summer leagues. Her friends remember her as friendly and outgoing and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at San Miguel Catholic Church with the rosary beginning at 10:00 am and the celebration of the funeral mass immediately following with Father John C. Daniel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Shannon Milligan, Craig Sichler, Ernie Sichler, Anthony Sanchez, Joseph Garcia, and Stephen Montoya. Lupe Baldonado, Dominic Chavez, and J. J. Elwood will serve as Honoray Pallbearers. The family will be receiving guests at the home of Chuck and Charlotte Monette following the services. SISNEROS -- Altagracia Grace. Sisneros Matriarch, Altagracia Grace Sisneros passed away early Sunday morning, December 5, 2004 of natural causes at the age of 90, at the Albuquerque Regional Medical Center Hospice with her first born son, Joe M. Sisneros being at her side. She was born July 7, 1914 in Colonias, NM to the home of Carlos B. and Elvira Gallegos Romero. Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Severiano U. Sisneros on December 15, 1978; her mother Elvira Gutierrez; her sister, Catherine Sexton; grandson, Joe M. Sisneros, Jr.; and her great-granddaughter, Mariah J.Sanchez. Grace is survived by her seven children, Joe M. Sisneros; Vera S. Sanchez and husband Phil all of Santa Rosa; Severiano R. Sisneros and wife Fedelia of Moriarty; Zenaida Bridges of Colonias; Hope Sisneros of Arlington, VA; Anthony Sisneros and wife Shirley of Ceder Crest and Tomas A. Sisneros and wife Margie of Albuquerque; 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Brother Carlos B. Romero and wife Confe of Colonias and her sister Cecilia "Cyl" Lalla of Las Cruces. Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Grace was a homemaker and career woman. She was a devout life-long Catholic and member of the St. Rose of Lima Parish, where for many years she served as a lector and commentator at the Spanish Mass. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Guild and served two terms as President of the Guild; she was an active member of PERA in Las Vegas, New Mexico for may years; she served as chairman of the St. Rose of Lima Parish Fiestas for two years; she was the Spanish Editor of the Santa Rosa News; she was co-owner with her daughter Vera of the "Rolling Pin Pastry House" in Santa Rosa; she was a CCD instructor with the St. Rose of Lima Church; Grace was a Tupperware dealer serving Santa Rosa, Tucumcari and Vaughn. She attended school in Albuquerque at San Felipe de Neri Catholic School and attended Santa Rosa High School. Grace love to crochet, knit, quilt, write stories and paint. She would make wooden toys for her children and grandchildren and translated handbooks into spanish. Pallbearers will be Jude Sisneros; William B. Sanchez; Severiano Sisneros III; Dean Rivera; Jeremy Sisneros and Kathy Willmoth. Honorary Pallbearers will be the rest of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Rosary Services for Grace Sisneros will be held on Tuesday evening December 7, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at 10:00 also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating with interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Colonias, NM. WALKER -- Luggie Otero-Walker, 70, beloved sister and sister in Christ, peacefully went to her eternal rest with our Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2004 due to cancer. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. There are no words to describe the value placed on her. She was a loving, faithful, magnificent woman of beauty, joy, generousity, gentleness, and kindness. She lived her life as an example of God's love. She left a legacy of compassion, strength, and was loved by everyone. She was an inspiration to others and was a very giving person who never missed an opportunity to help those in need. She was a dear wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be dearly missed by everyone. Luggie was also a very caring person for children. During her last years, she worked with children at the Barcelona Elementary and Adobe Acres Elementery Schools with the Foster Grandparent's Program. Luggie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur, September 6, 2000; her father, Lalo Otero, January 22, 2004; and her mother, September 1948. She is survived by her brother and sisters, Rosie Otero of Albuquerque, Julia Perea and husband Moises from El Cerro, Elinora Oliver of Austin, TX, Mary Jane Martin and husband Carlos of Albuquerque, Ed Otero of Albuquerque, and Edna Luther and husband Rick of Albuquerque; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends. The Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the Service at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 9, 2004 in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd.at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Entombment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Albert Lewis, Israel Alvarado, Juan Alvarado, David Rice, Anthony Lewis, and Henaro Apodaca. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adenago Perea, and Paul Chavez. The family of Luggie would like to express a very special thanks to the Univesity Hospital doctors, nurses and aides in the East side Oncology Unit, who cared for her during her illness and for all efforts, compassion, kindness, and generous care during this difficult time.
