SKLARIS -- BRON WALTER 09-28-1923 - 02-27-2012 Was born in Bucinciske Alytus Lithuania and arrived in the United States onboard the SS General Taylor, sponsored by June McIntyre of Philadelphia, PA on 12-11-1949 and established his residence in Pennsylvania, where he remained until he and his deceased wife, Zita Sklaris, moved in with his step-son, John P. Zilius and his wife, Lillian P. Zilius in 1984 to help raise his wonderful grandchildren, Ann-Lea (Annie) Zilius and John (Johnny) P. Zilius, Jr. Bron, otherwise known as Grandpa, was heard saying many times over the years that Annie and Johnny were the delight of his life and that being able to contribute to their upbringing was the joy of his life. Grandpa couldn't have been more proud of his grandchildren. He took pride in their many accomplishments and was grateful that he had the opportunity to meet Johnny's bride, Marie Newsom Zilius and to see Johnny return from his military tour of duty overseas. Grandpa was lonely for his bride, who preceded him in death by eight years. Although his family grieves for Grandpa they are thankful that he passed doing something that he truly enjoyed, reading the paper, without any prolonged suffering. A memorial service will be held early summer 2012.
