ARMIJO -- Daniel Armijo, age 67, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, November 17, 2004. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Alameda; and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Louisa Armijo; brothers, Walter and David Armijo; a daughter, Gloria Jean Day; and a son, Rudy Armijo. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Bertha of the family home; three sons, Jason, Walter, and Antonio Armijo; six daughters, Anntonette, Kathy, Linda, Anna Armijo, Christine Cordova and husband, Ruben, and Abby Armijo and husband, David Montoya; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Alfred Armijo; sisters, Sophie Armijo-Gallegos and husband, Ross, Sylvia Armijo-Romero and husband, Mark, Yvonne Armijo, Theresa Villanueva and husband, Rick; numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends. Daniel will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. SAIZ -- Stephen J. Saiz, Sr. also know as "Biker Steve" passed away on November 17, 2004 at the age of 50. He was born on March 13, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Stephen "A legend in his own time" was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He was an employee of the City of Albuquerque and the Vice President of the A.F.S.C.M.E. Local Union #624, Next Stop Club, Isleta Club, Heights Club and the Dessert Club. He practiced the Red Road. Mr. Saiz was preceded in death by his father, Edwardo Saiz; his mother, Lugarda Saiz; brothers, Jerry Saiz and Raymond Saiz; and his nephews, Bernard Saiz and Armando Saiz. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Saiz; son, Steven Saiz, Jr.; granddaughter, Sheri Gallegos; grandson, Steven Dominic Saiz; brother, Lawrence Saiz; sisters, Priscilla Pena, Barbara Zimmer, Mary Ann Lujan, Agnes Sandoval, Dolores Carrillo, Erlinda Taylor, Josie Conway and Mary Sierra; and his nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great -nephews. GURULE -- Pat "Tito" Gurule, 76, passed away at home, Tuesday, November 16, 2004, surrounded by his family. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, he worked for A.G.P / Calmat for over 25 years. Tito had a wonderful charismatic personality and was devoted to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Patricio Gurule; brother, Joe Espinosa; sons, Steve and Ray Gurule, and grandson, Dominic Medina. Tito is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ernestine Gurule; children, Atilano Gallegos, Sara Gonzales, Robert Gurule, George Gurule, Loretta Medina, and Yvonne Gurule; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, on Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside funeral service will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 2:00 pm, with Willie Garcia officiating. SALAS -- Albert Salas, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday. He is survived by two sons Henry Salas and Ronnie Salas; three daughters Celia S. Manley, Monica Ortiz and husband Eloy and Susie Gonzales and husband Alex; one brother Urbano Salas and wife Elsie; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. STAPP-MANDEL -- Gladys Jean "Glad" Stapp-Mandel, 48, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died on November 3, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Steve Mandel of Rio Rancho, NM; parents, Roy and Cleo Stapp of Albuquerque; one sister, Sadie Gallegos and husband, Frank of Los Lunas, NM; two nieces, Lesley and Jessica Gallegos of Los Lunas, NM; mother in law, Esther Mandel of New York, NY; sister in law, Leslie Mandel of Boston, MA; brother in law, David Mandel of Morganstown, WV. She is also survived by her special baby, Shiloh Shelby; and many special friends and relatives. Glad went to be with the Lord after a personal battle with leukemia. She graduated from West Mesa High School in 1974 and then attended NMSU. Glad was employed by Kirtland Federal Credit Union. She was a former long time resident of Westgate Heights. She loved life, shopping and was a very giving, beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. GARCIA -- Willie Garcia, age 24, of Sombrillo, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2004 in Arizona. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilfredo and Adelinda Roybal (who was also his Godmother), his aunt Dorothy Trujillo, Uncle Ramos Roybal, and cousin Leo Roybal. He is survived by his parents, Fermin and Joann Garcia, a sister Carrie Garcia, a brother, Fermin Garcia Jr. and wife Karen, a niece Briana Garcia, and close cousin Chantelle Gallegos, all of Sombrillo. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Mariano and Inez Garcia of Nambe. Willy was a wonderful son, brother, and uncle and will be missed dearly by all family and friends. Recitation of Rosary will be held at Block Salazar Mortuary on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 7:00 PM and another Recitation of Rosary held on Friday, November 5, 2004 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada at 7:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will also be held at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 10:00 AM with Interment to follow at the Santa Cruz Cemetery. BAROS -- Robert Gregory Baros was born August 6, 1968 in Albuquerque, NM. He passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004. Robert was a loving son, brother, father, and friend.
