LAYCOCK, JOSE Age 39, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He is survived by parents, Katherine and Harry Laycock; brother, Christopher Laycock and wife Nickeya; his grandmother, Conception Chavez; uncle, David Chavez and wife Peggy Sufall, uncle, Johnny P. Laycock Jr. and wife Daisy. He was also an uncle to Desiree, Samira and Dylan. He graduated from La Cueva High School and later joined the United States Navy. Afterward, he attained his business degree and worked in finance. He was a loving person with a big heart. Jose was taken too soon, he had big adventures planned in Costa Rica for the future, however the Lord called him home and he will always be remembered and dearly loved by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held in his honor on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. BACA, RALPH Mr. Baca died on Tuesday, January 4th at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife, Corrine and his son, David. Ralph is survived by sons: Ted Baca and wife Julie, and Ralph Baca Jr.; daughters: Anita Bustos-Rubi, & Veronica Barrientes and husband Johnny; brother: Ray Baca and wife Lorraine; his sisters: Josie Candelaria and Mary Camillo; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Ralph's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Monday, February 10th at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1860 Griegos Rd NW.) A Mass will also be at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, February 11th at 9:00 a.m. followed by Graveside Service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. TORRES, VERA Age 86, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014. She was born March 6, 1927 in Santa Rita, NM to Cruz Ponce and Elisa Rael-Gonzales. Vera dearly loved her family; her favorite pastime was crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Juan J. Torres. She is survived by her children: Theresa Miranda and husband, Phil; Johnny Torres and wife, Sinfer; Alice Garcia and husband, Clemente, and Robert Torres and wife Lisa; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. BARRIENTES, JUAN JOSE "YOGI" Age 75, a resident of Albuquerque for over 60 years, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. Juan loved baseball and was a NY Yankees fan, he coached baseball all the way from little league to semi pro. He liked to play cards, loved westerns, music, art, singing, and visiting with friends and family. Juan was a very giving person and everyone loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Francis Barrientes; two brothers, Frank Barrientes and Florencio Cedillos and a great grandson, Matthew Shije. Juan is survived by wife, Oralia Barrientes; five children, Kathy Duran (Ramon), Betty Lou Jones (Richard), Mary Francis Garcia (Ricky), Johnny Joe Barrientes (Veronica), Susan Garcia; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; nine siblings, Guadalupe Barrientes, Cecilia Gueren, Manuel Barrientes, Ernest Cedillos, Rebecca Ponce de Leon, Dolores Young, Romano Cedillos, Rafael Cedillos, Roman Cedillos, Jr. A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary Chapel of Angels, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 9:00 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd, NW.
