BOURGUET -- AMALIA A. age 84, born and raised in Las Palomas, NM, and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 27, 2011 with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Bourguet is survived by her loving children, Mary Ida Martinez and husband, Joe, Alfred Bourguet and wife, Theresa, Dolores Bourguet, Mickie Silva and husband, Arthur; her brother Diego Robert (Bob) Armijo; grandchildren, Elaine Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Stephen Martinez, Kristina Webster and husband, Rusty, Laura Bourguet, Arlena Bourguet, Anthony Bourguet and wife, Tanya, Jacquelyn Silva, Marialisa Silva, and Andrew Silva; great-grandchildren, Michael and A.J. Bourguet. Mrs. Bourguet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Napoleon Bourguet; daughter, Margaret Bourguet; and her parents, Hinofrio and Miquela Armijo. Mrs. Bourguet graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1945, and married Napoleon in 1946, upon his return from service in WWII. They moved to Albuquerque to begin their family. Mrs. Bourguet had a loving smile and generous heart. She made everyone feel special, and always had food for everyone, especially on Sunday's after Mass, where the day was spent at her house. She was a loving Mom, and "Grama", and nothing meant more to her than her grandchildren, whom she adored. Mrs. Bourguet was a member of St. Edwin Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary and a CCD teacher. Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2012 at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2150 Barcelona SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.by Father Bill Sanchez. Final visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Edwin Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., Father Bill Sanchez, presider. HERRERA -- APRIL DARLING ROSE of Albuquerque died Saturday, December 24, 2011, after a battle with leukemia. She was 20. April was born on April 15, 1991, in Modesto, Calif., to Daniel R. and Sylvia M. Herrera. As a toddler, she would accompany her mother to the homes of newborns with Down syndrome to demonstrate to new families that everything would be OK. Even when very young, she exhibited a flair for showmanship and her unique sense of humor. Her gentle heart and love of life left a positive impact on all who knew her. April is survived by her parents, Daniel and Sylvia Herrera; her sisters, Layla A. Herrera, Janus E. Topolski and Capt. John Topolski, USMC, and Celina A. Herrera and Rosario Blanco; her nieces, Aurelia and Iliana Blanco; her grandmothers, Josie W. Martinez and Martha T. Herrera; and her soulmate and fiance, Gabriel Nagurski, whom she planned to marry in 2014. She also is survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. April moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1995. She graduated with the Class of 2009 from Cibola High School, where she was awarded letters in academics for her consistently high GPA and in athletics in recognition of her many years as a Special Olympics athlete. A longtime member of the Rio Rancho Rockets, April competed over the years in basketball, swimming, track and field, gymnastics, volleyball, golf, bowling and soccer. She was named Aquatics Athlete of the Year in 2007. She also played a season of baseball in the Petroglyph Challenger League. After high school, April enrolled in Albuquerque Public Schools' CTAP program, where her job-training projects included working at Saver's on San Mateo, Roadrunner Food Bank, Cuidando Los Ninos and St. Mary's Rest Home. A lifelong music fan, April played the role of a chicken in the Santa Fe Opera's 1999 production of Benjamin Britten's "Noah's Flood." She also was a member of the 10 a.m. choir at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Community. At St. Joseph's, April received the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation, at which time she selected St. Rose of Lima as her patron and adopted her name. Archbishop Michael Sheehan cited her confirmation letter during his homily. April also loved watching movies, writing notes and drawing, photography and reading. Her morning ritual started with retrieving the Albuquerque Journal from the front porch to scan the paper for news about cops, criminals and car wrecks, her favorite topics. Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2011, in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. by Maria Romero. Final visitation will be Saturday, December 31, 2012 at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Drive NW from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be con-celebrated at 10 a.m., Monsignor Lambert Luna and Father Frank Prieto presiders. Mr. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. ROBLES -- FELIPE PHILIPE JR. Age 92, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 21, 2011 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Robles is survived by his children, June Robles and partner, Wes Winters, Dolores Robles and partner, Lawrence Gonzales, David Robles and wife, Suzanne, Tom Robles and wife, Diane, and Paul Robles and wife, Tanya; his sister Romana Gonzales and husband, Jackie; his brother Orlando Robles and wife, Trancy; sister in law, Orpha Robles; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; Mr. Robles was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel; parents, Felipe and Clotilda Robles; step mother, Bersabe Robles; son, Dominic Robles; grandchildren, Christopher Gerber, and Adam Nieto; brothers, Manuel, Joseph, and Tom Robles. LUNA -- ROSALIA M. Age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Mrs. Luna is survived by her children, Cecilia Lopez, Helen Luna Padilla, and Anna Luna; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Vega and Felis Baca and husband, Francis; and brother, Marcelino Montano. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Brother Jose Jaramillo Jr., presider.
