TAFOYA -- EILEEN M. "HONEY" Age 52, a resident of Alameda, NM, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 17, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ben Paul Tafoya; two special daughters, Michelle and Monica Tafoya; her precious grandchildren, ChristiAna and Caiden Tafoya; god-children Christopher Gutierrez, Jessica Cordova and Adrianna Tafoya. She is also survived by her parents, Tomas "Popo" and Elsie Gonzales; four sisters, Ramona Chavez, Angie Duran, Rita Cordova and Rachel Gutierrez and husband Steve; one brother, Tommy Gonzales Jr, mother-in-law, Julia Tafoya; sister-in-law, Esther and husband, Andy Barela; brother-in-law, Lawrence and wife, Diane Tafoya; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and many other family members. Eileen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bennie G. Tafoya; uncle, Matias Gonzales; nephew, Joseph Duran; cousin, Yolanda "Yoli" Salaiz; and great-niece, Carleas Duran. Mrs. Tafoya was an employee of the City of Albuquerque. She was a cancer survivor for 15 years, and also battled Lupus for 9 years. Eileen was a strong and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. She put others before herself so much of the time. Eileen was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Parish and charter member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a participant of the Relay for Life. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 22, 2011, 7:00 pm, and a Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 23, 2011, 9:00 am, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Alameda NW, with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Gonzales Jr., Christopher Gutierrez, Carlitos Duran, Lorenzo Tafoya, Andy Barela, and Lawrence Tafoya. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Alfredo Gonzales, Bernie Salaiz Sr, Bernie Salaiz Jr, Steve Gutierrez Sr, Lee Sanchez, and Matthew Ortiz. URITU -- GHEORGHE SR. Age 52, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Manuela "Nina"; son, Gheorghe Uritu, Jr. of Albuquerque; parents, Gheorghe and Ioana Uritu of Romania; sisters, Elena Spilca of Albuquerque and Mihaela Uritu of Munich, Germany; nieces and nephew, Marica, Mihaela and Mihai, Jr.; mother-in-law, Viorica Trifu of Romania; numerous other relatives; and many friends in both Romania and Albuquerque. Gheroghe was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mihai Spilca and father-in-law, Aurel Trifu. Gheorghe was born in 1959 in Romania and after high school joined the Romanian Police Academy. He served as a police officer in Romania until immigrating to the United States in 1988, at which time he came to Albuquerque to join his sister, Elena and brother-in-law, Gheorghe worked for them until starting his own business. At the time of his death he worked at GST Gas Station on Coors. Gheorghe was a happy, outgoing and very friendly person who never held a grudge. He felt very fortunate to live in the United States and was a very giving type of person. Gheorghe was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends and family may visit French--University Chapel, Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Service will be held at French-University Chapel Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will take place and Gheorghe will be returned to his homeland at some future date. WEHLING -- LORENE M. Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964 died Saturday, September 17, 2011 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Patrick L. Wehling; children, Pat Wehling, Jr. and wife, Ruth Anne, Mary Pedersen and husband, Dennis, Joe Wehling and wife, Debra, Chris Wehling, and Matt Wehling; four grandchildren, Jessica, Luke, Emma and Alice; step granddaughter, Shayla Heavner; sister, Carlene Sanders and husband, Marvin; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Fred H. and Veronica M. Rice; and four siblings. Lorene was born in 1924 in Minco, Oklahoma and graduated from Minco High School and attended the Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha. She married Patrick on September 3, 1946. They enjoyed travelling to visit family and attend 449th Bomb Group reunions and Rice family reunions. Lorene was an accomplished seamstress. She was a volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and Women's Guild. Lorene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. ARAGON -- ANTHONY "Big A", 51, born on February 3, 1960, passed away on September 18, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his mother Roberta O. Aragon. He is survived by his father Walter Aragon Jr. He is survived by four children, Patricia, Jennifer, Walter and Jeremy; eight grandchildren, Melina, Jordon, Madison, Ethan, Elliot, Walter, Anaisa, and Ariana. He is also survived by two sisters, Angela Morris and husband Jason, Annette Hoyer and husband Billy. Niece Brianna Morris, nephews Ian and Logan Hoyer. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. BERG -- EDWARD C. Born December 6, 1920, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Berg and wife, Lucille Berg. He is survived by his brother, Richard Berg and his wife, Ruth. Edward was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII and served on both the USS Enterprise and the USS Intrepid. FRAISSINET -- DELBERT ARTHUR Age 66, lifetime resident of New Mexico, died on Friday, September 16, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM, surrounded by loving family and friends - just as he wished. Delbert was born April 1, 1945 to the late Julius and Selfa (Pino) Fraissinet in Socorro, NM. In 1965 he met and fell in love with Elizabeth "Dee Dee" Armijo of Magdalena, NM. Shortly after they were married, the couple moved to Albuquerque, NM where Delbert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master's degree in Education Administration from the University of New Mexico. It was then that Delbert began a career in education that would last more than thirty years and touch countless students, families, and teachers. Delbert taught and served as principal at Socorro elementary, middle, and high schools; and in 1985 he was named Superintendent of Socorro Consolidated Schools. He retired from public education in 1997. During the next several years Delbert worked for the South Central Council of Governments, first as a grant administrator and later as Executive Director. Delbert spent his final years in retirement in Bosque Farms, NM with his loving wife of 44 years, Dee Dee, as well as his devoted children, grandchildren, many friends and family. The Fraissinets were dedicated members of San Miguel Catholic Church of Socorro, NM, where for many years they helped lead the marriage enrichment program. Delbert is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Fraissinet of Bosque Farms, NM; his three children, son Philip and wife Margaret Fraissinet of Houston, TX; daughters Nicole and husband Roger Roth of Los Lunas, NM; Amanda and husband Mickey Lozano of Los Lunas, NM; his brother Jean and wife Lala Fraissinet of Socorro, NM; nine grandchildren Ryan, Brendan, Mary, Braylon, Mickaela, Justin, Joseph, Jacob, and Mia Rose; many brothers and sisters-in-law; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 pm, Friday, September 23, 2011 at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. A Mass of Resurrection will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. JORDAN -- MARY EUGENIA (GENTRY) Age 86, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt passed on to be with her Lord, Saturday, September 17, 2011. Mary was born on June 29, 1925 in Arlington, TX to Richard Ellis and Mary Edith (Little John) Gentry. Mary's family moved to T or C, NM when she was five years old. She resided there until college and marriage brought her to Albuquerque, NM. Mary retired from Mountain States Mutual Casualty Company in 1992 after 28 years of service. She was a charter member of Wesley Methodist Church which was located on 57th Street NW where she played the piano and served as choir director for many years. The last eight years of Mary's life were spent residing in an assisted living facility where she continued to bring inspiration and awareness of the richness in life to the other residents as well as the staff who attended to her. Mary began each day in prayer and ended each day in prayer. These prayers provided the strength that saw her through life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ellis and Mary Edith Gentry; son, Gary Leigh Jordan; sister, Catherine Hall. Mary is survived by her son, Richard Alexander Jordan and wife Ruth of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Cathryne Marie Charlson of Rio Rancho, NM; grandson, Jeff Jordan and wife Tera; grandaughter, Laura Dalasta and husband David; great-granddaughter, Reese Jordan; niece, Karyn Archuleta and husband Thomas; niece, Jean Shultz and husband Ted; nephew, Russ Hall; grand-nephew, Brandon Archuleta; grand-niece, Shannon Archuleta. She was born on October 1, 1921 to the late Delfin and Victoria Garcia, in Canon, NM. She was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM and a member of the Catholic Community. Senaida is survived by her loving husband, Antonio Montoya of Rio Rancho, NM; her children, Alice Howard and husband Gary, Ted Montoya and wife Betsy, Kathy Montoya, Gene Montoya and wife Elizabeth Jaramillo, David Montoya and wife Kathy; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
