KOOGLER -- ELISE VOGEL A longtime resident of New Mexico, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at the age of 91. She was born in El Vado, NM. Elise is survived by husband of 63 years, Clare Clement Koogler; sons, John C. of Brookeland, TX and William C. of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Elyse Ann Cullum of Parks, AZ; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Elise graduated from UNM and had her BA and Masters in Education and retired after teaching elementary education for 30 years in the NM Public Schools. MCDONALD -- MARY ELIZABETH Died September 13, 2011 at age 94, after a full life. Born in McAlester, Oklahoma, she worked as a young woman in Oklahoma government and then in the federal government and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. before coming to Albuquerque in 1947 with her husband, G. Corry McDonald. She earned her BA and MA from UNM, was an accomplished craftswoman who was active in the American Crafts Council, a teacher, an appraiser, and businesswoman. She opened Gallery One at Nob Hill and operated it for many years before selling it. Her husband Corry passed away in 1995. She is survived by Douglas McDonald of Lexington, Massachusetts, Bruce McDonald and Jnanideva Shanmuga, both of Albuquerque, and four grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 11:00 at the Alumni Memorial Chapel on the UNM Campus, located 150 ft. east of Maxwell Museum.

NEBE -- WILLIAM C. Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, previously residing in Ogden Dunes, IN, died Thursday, October 6, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Alice Patricia Nebe; daughter, Linda McIlwain and husband, Steve; son, William D. Nebe and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Christopher McIlwain and wife, Janet, Mary McIlwain and husband, Aaron Arendt, Gena Dunivan and husband, Kevin, Chase Nebe and Natalie Nebe; and great-grandchildren, Zoe, Cole and Charlie. WACONDA -- JOHN E. SR. Age 80, a Laguna Pueblo tribal member who resided at Isleta Pueblo since 1958, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was born in Albuquerque, NM and was raised in Laguna Pueblo, Village of Paguate. He enlisted in the Marine Corp and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He married Josephine Trujillo and together they raised four children in Isleta Pueblo. During his lifetime he was an employee of the U.S. Indian Health Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. His main interest and enjoyment in life came from farming in Isleta and attending to the family ranch in Corona, NM. He worked untiringly, enjoyed life's simple pleasures, and lived life to its fullest. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Josephine; daughters, Patricia Abeita and Karen Waconda-Lewis; sons, John Waconda Jr. and Lawrence Waconda; nine grandchildren, Amy, Catherine, Maureen, Aaron, Camille, Lenora, Amanda, Royce, and Erin; and two great-grandchildren Noah and Brooke. He is also survived by his brother, Walter K. Waconda and sister, Ida Kiro, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was a member of St. Augustine Parish. A rosary will be recited Sunday, October 9, 2011, 6:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Parish, in Isleta Pueblo with a reception immediately following. Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 10, 2011, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Parish. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM, 87501. WAGNER -- PATRICIA DAGLEY Age 87, passed away on October 6, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on July 8, 1924 in Vincennes, IN. Albuquerque has been her home since 1953. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan; her sisters, Virginia Hill and Mary Schuller; and her brother, Hugh Dagley. She is survived by her brother, Jack; and her children, Dr. Steve Wagner and wife, Caryn Wagner; Dr. Jeff Wagner and wife, Dr. Patricia Wagner; and Dr. Jon Wagner. Her seven grandchildren, Greg Wagner, Nikki Trott, Kyle Wagner, Ollie Wagner, Sophie Wagner, J.J. Wagner and Josh Wagner were her greatest source of grandmotherly pride and joy. She was a remarkable and creative woman. Her talents as a calligrapher were shared with friends and family for whom she designed wedding invitations, programs and certificates of achievement. Her children and grandchildren proudly wear the sweaters she knit for them and stay warm beneath the quilts that she hand-made for them. She helped many law students, lawyers, and judges find just the right law book, treatise, or journal during her years as a research librarian at in the UNM Law Library. Dozens and dozens of her legendary chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed by lucky family, friends, the Veteran's Administration dental clinic staff, and the staff at the UNM law library. Pat Wagner was a loving, funny and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She has left an indelible imprint on this earth and we are all better off because of her. Thank you to all of the caring healthcare personnel at UNM Hospital, Lovelace Hospital and Albuquerque Heights Rehabilitation Center who were so gentle, attentive and kind to Pat during her difficult illness. WILKINSON -- J.D. "BUD" Age 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and more recently of Corrales died peacefully in his sleep at home Wednesday, October 5, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He is survived by his wife Joyce; their children, Jerry and wife, Lana, and Dennis and wife, Maye; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Bud was a Mason and member of the West Lodge No. 475 of West, Texas and a member of Hoffmantown Church of Albuquerque. He had a long career in the business forms industry in both sales and manufacturing and was a member and leader in the National Business Forms Association. He was a loving husband, father and mentor to his sons. Services will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at French - Lomas Chapel with a reception immediately after. ASHMAN -- ELIZABETH (BETTY) Age 82, passed away on October 2, 2011. Betty served as a nurse during WWII in England, and after moving to the States to marry Bob, continued her career in Albuquerque as a pediatric nurse. Betty is survived by son Rob, his wife Nancy, their children, Kelly and Stephen Smith, Valerie and David Gorm, and great-granddaughter, Addison. She is also survived by son Mark, his wife Amy, their children Leigh Ashman, Peter and Miranda Ashman. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd NE. CARMIGNANI -- ROBERT LEE Age 58, passed away at his home on Monday evening, October 3rd. Bob was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on December 11, 1952, and has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1957. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1970, where he held the position of quarterback for the MHS football team, Honorable Mention All-American Quarterback. Bob graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1975, and then completed his technical training in California. He owned, and ran, two successful dental laboratories in Albuquerque between 1978, and 2011. Bob is survived by his mother, Joyce Morello, of Albuquerque; his brother, Lawrence T. Carmignani, of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Christen Pike and Lawren Carmignani, both of Albuquerque; Christen's husband, John Pike; their two sons, Jackson and Parker; and numerous extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carmignani, D.D.S. Bob was an athlete, a connoisseur of art, classical music, history, and a member of the Alamo Society. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and grandfather, and he is dearly loved.
