WARD -- David Ward, of Albuquerque passed away June 13, 2004 at the age of 35. David was born June 18, 1968. He was an employee of New Mexico Metal Systems. He was preceded in death by his father Danny Ward and his son Danny Ray Ward. David is survived by his wife Jeanette Ward of the family home, his three daughters, his mother Eva Hobbs, two brothers; Eddie Scrulock and wife Nina and Steve Scrulock and wife Connie, his uncle Joe Hobbs and wife Bonnie, his in-laws Ray and Magdalena Martinez, his goddaughter Desiree Garcia and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. David enjoyed watching car racing and fishing. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Garcia Mortuary. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday June 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m.at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW, Albuquerque. Pallbearers are Ivan Chavez, Robert Martinez, Brian Lucero, J.J. Scurlock, Wayne Roberts, and Bo Martinez. BUNNELL -- Jimmy David Bunnell age 62, of Albuquerque died Friday, June 11, 2004. He is survived by his wife Karen of Albuquerque; Daughter Tammy Munoz (Mark) of Albuquerque; Son Michael Bunnell of Albuquerque; Grandchildren Heather Tanner, Amanda Tanner, Calleigh Bunnell, Rachel Munoz, Daniel Bunnell, and Ryan Munoz all of Albuquerque. Mother Ola Mae Bunnell of Texas; Sister Carol Atwood of Arizona Brothers Kenneth Bunnell of Texas and Larry Bunnell of Farmington. Mr. Bunnell was a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather whom will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rosary will be held on Sunday June 13, 2004 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on June 15, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Indian School Road, Albuquerque NM. LUKENS -- Paralee Armstrong Lukens passed away on June 11, 2004 at the age of 84. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Lukens Schoen of Placitas, New Mexico; by her son, David Edward Lukens, of Santa Clara, California; and by her former husband, William P. Lukens of Lynchburg, Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren. Paralee was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 15, 1919 to Dennis Osborne Armstrong and Alma Noble Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister, Maxine Mason of Danville, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois, Rutgers State Teachers College and the University of Rochester, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters in teaching. She taught elementary school in New Jersey and worked as a secretary. She retired from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. She was active in the Association of University Women, the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and the Municipal Art Guild of Austin. For many years she served as an usher for the Austin Symphony. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Austin and in Rio Rancho. For the last five years she resided at Acantilado Vista in Rio Rancho. Her family wishes to convey their sincere appreciation to the staff of Acantilado Vista, Zia Hospice, and to Barbara Hernandez of Freedom Heart Senior Care who provided a beautiful sunset. Paralee was always a Texan at heart. She will be remembered for her love of painting, her faith, her sense of humor, her stories, and her white Stetson hat. TURNER -- Virginia Turner, 94, was born December 16, 1909 and died June 11, 2004. She is survived by her oldest daughter, Virginia Louise Shutt; grandchildren, Ken Wiley and wife, Mary Jane, Bobby Wiley and wife, Theresa, Danny Turner and wife, Delilah, Alan Turner and wife, Jackie, Cindy Rhoten and husband, David, and Lisa Venner; 9 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Delbert Tuner (Deb); her youngest son, Claude Turner; her oldest son, Bob (Red) Turner and her youngest daughter, Mary Joan Wiley. HILL -- Jerry Douglas Hill, 46, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, June 6, 2004. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Castner-Smith of Albuquerque; father, Bob Hill and wife Sandie of Denver, CO; brother, Lee Griffith and wife Shannon of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Deb Hill of Longmont, CO; brother, David Hill and wife Morgan of Albuquerque; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr. Hill was brilliant, compassionate, gentle and hilarious. Doug was known best for his "Chiel Impersonations" - "Ya'll go on now..." Private family services have already taken place. KILLICH -- George A. Killich, 90, went to home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2004. He was a longtime resident of Ann Arbor, MI and worked as a Scientific glassblower at the University of Michigan and later was owner of his own business, Superior Glass Apparatus. The last few years, he lived in Albuquerque with his daughter, JoAnn Collins and her husband, Paul. He is also survived by his sons, David and wife, Jean, and Kenneth Killich of Michigan; grandchildren, Diana Jones, Paul Collins, Dannette Killich, Scott Collins, and David Killich; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Jones, Taylor and Myra Killich and Kylee and Barret Collins. PADILLA -- Antonia (Tonita) Padilla, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2004, at the family home surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Toni graduated from Loretto Academy in 1945. She then started her long and successful banking career, which encompassed over 40 years. She started at First National Bank of Santa Fe. She also worked at Santa Fe National Bank and was one of the original employees of Capital Bank, under the direction of Ike Kalangis. Toni's career culminated in her becoming vice-president of Sunwest Bank. Toni was an extremely generous woman with her money, contributing thousands of dollars to various charities, particularly those involving hunger and children. Toni was an avid reader, bowler and she loved to gamble. She was a life-long parishioner of Cristo Rey Church and was a member of the Cristo Rey Altar Society and Union Protectiva Femenina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Cesaria Martinez Rivera and her brother, Jose Reyes Rivera. She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Augustine Gallegos, Alfonso LeFebre and Joe Encinias. She is survived by her husband to whom she was married for 56 years, Antonio Jose Padilla and six children; Carmen Carrillo and husband Michael Kuhlewind, children Andrew and Michael Carrillo; Leo Padilla and children Joseph Padilla and wife Teresa Poole, Celina Varela and husband Gene, Tanya, Antonio & Matthew Padilla, Maria Padilla-Enyart and husband Steve, and daughter Lindsay Marisol; Cesaria (Cia) Tapia and children Donna Gurule & husband Mark, Bianca and Steven Barela; Ana Padilla and daughter Marisa Danielson and Carlos A. Padilla and children David, Nicole and Arianne Padilla. She also had seven (7) great-grandchildren, Samantha Gurule, Angelica Padilla, Andres Padilla. Mannie Padilla, Samantha Padilla, Amber Varela and Diego Varela. She is also survived by her brother, Matias Rivera, sister Eloyda Garcia and husband Rudy, and sisters-in-law Zoila Rivera, Rosaura Gallegos of Farmington, NM, Adelina LeFebre and Corrina Encinias. Toni had a great number of friends, relatives and colleagues who loved her and will miss her dearly. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Cristo Rey Church at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Cristo Rey Church on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the National Cemetery. SILVA -- Clyde Silva was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 12, 2004. He was a wonderful father and husband and will be missed very much. He began his career with 10 years of service with the AT&SF Railroad. He so wanted to serve his country that he joined the United States Airforce National Guard serving 10 years then decided to further his military career by joining the United States Airforce retiring after 20 years of proud and dedicated service to his country. He was also very proud that he served his country in the Vietnam War. He loved being outdoors and was known for his beautiful gardens. Every year he would grow a beautiful vegetable garden for his family and friends. He was an accomplished artist and loved working in oils to create some of the most beautiful landscape paintings that he gave away and many that he sold. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Oracio and Aurelia Silva; and three brothers Desiderio (Jeo), Gillie, and Enfre Silva. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tina Silva; his four children, Jeff Silva and his wife Gina, James, Christopher and Janet Silva, his five grandchildren, Derick, Ryan, Marissa, Heather, and Jossephene Silva & also four step grandchildren, Raquel, Ruth, Francisco and Lovess Gomez; his four sisters Solita (Sally) Castillo, Ruby Sedillo, Lucy Baltazar, and Berlinda Sanchez. All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a private viewing on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a public viewing from 5:30-7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 10:00am.
