ZAMORA -- Ernest Zamora, 65, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Luis Lopez, NM. Ernest was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 10, 1945 to Nazario and Lupe (Garcia) Zamora. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, married September 24, 1966 in Socorro, NM, Beatrice (Gonzales) Zamora of Luis Lopez; His daughters, Diana Zamora of Luis Lopez; Laura Zamora of Albuquerque, NM; his son, Louis Luke Zamora of Luis Lopez; six grandchildren, Melinda; John Jr.; Michael; Megan; Breanna; and Enijah; two great-grandchildren, Kayla; and Hunter; brothers, Pat Zamora; Jimmy Zamora and wife, Barbara; and Ray Zamora; aunts, Aurora Garcia; Amalia Garcia; Maria Garcia; and Isabelle Arrevellos; his mother-in-law, Lillie Gonzales; brother-in-law, Sammy Gonzales; and sisters-in-law, Jenny Pyland and husband, Bill; and Roseann Savedra and husband, Danny; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ernest was a resident of Luis Lopez for 40 years. He worked for the MRGCD and was a hard working farmer. Ernest was preceded in death by his son, Ernest Zamora Jr. (September 1, 1998); his parents, Nazario and Lupe Zamora; his sister, Marian Marino; brothers-in-law, Eddie Gonzales; Joseph Gonzales; and Henry Gonzales; his father-in-law, Abran Gonzales; nephew, Richard Zamora; and great nephew, Floyd Savedra Jr. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on July 21, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro with a Mass of Resurrection immediately following with Father Andy Pavlak as Celebrant. Inurnment will take place in the Luis Lopez Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like any memorial contributions be made to Socorro General Hospital Hospice. GONZALES -- Margarita (Margaret) Gonzales, 85, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend was called home peacefully to heaven July 11, 2010. Margarita was born to parents, Melecia Apodoca and Andres Sisneros on September 27, 1924. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1960. She is survived by her three daughters, Maria Gonzales, Crescencia C.L. Sherrod, and Diana Jonas and husband Dwight Jonas; sisters, Irene Sanchez, Maria Sena; and brother Andrew Sisneros; she has six grandchildren, Loretta Tapia, Linda Marquez, Bonnie Sherrod, Polly Austin, Chris Sherrod, and Tamara Jonas; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital, and retired after many years. She was a volunteer at the Highland Senior Center for 13 years. The Rosary will be held July 20, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. at St. Edwin Church, 2105 Barcelona SW. The celebration of Mass will follow with the burial. She is deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

BALDONADO -- Toribio ( Toby ) Baldonado, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 16, 2010. Toribio was born in Bosque N.M. on September 5, 1920 to Demetrio and Gregoria Baldonado. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen; and daughter Dolores Medina; his sisters, Lucy Gonzales and Stella Nettles. He is survived by his son Albert Baldonado and his wife Sophie; daughter Irene Clark and husband Kent: grandchildren, Sandra Sanchez, Judy Medina, Steve Clark, Christopher Baldonado, Eric Baldonado, and Jennifer Sturtevant; and ten great-grandchildren; his brother Dofie Baldonado and wife Cecilia; and brother-in-law Lonnie Nettles. A rosary will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Friday, July 23, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. BARELA -- Rosendo Barela Sr., 73, of Estancia, NM passed away quietly on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 with his four daughters, Mary, Sylvia, Diane and Brenda at his side. Rosendo was born in Tajique, NM on March 14, 1937 to Pete and Emilia (Chavez) Barela. Mr. Barela was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rosendo lived in the Estancia Valley all his life. He married Carmen M. Gallegos on April 30, 1955.They had five beautiful children. She preceded him in death in 1991, after 36 years of marriage. Rosendo was a carpenter by trade. He worked for See Gee Engineering for 26 years and Luther Construction for six years. He was involved in the community and was a T.C. Deputy and also ran for Sheriff. He had a great love for race horses and antiques. Rosendo is survived by his wife, Carmen Martinez; son, Rosendo Barela Jr. and his wife Catherine of Sierra Vista, AZ; daughters, Mary E. Chavez and Ramon Acosta of Estancia, Sylvia A. Gutierrez and her husband Raymond of Chilili, Diane Martinez and her husband Carlos of Albuquerque, and Brenda S. Padilla and her husband Albert of Willard; brothers, Ralph Barela and his wife Domie, Pete Barela and his wife Maria; sisters, Barbara Chavez and her husband Alberto, Alice Trujillo and her husband Jesus, Lena Barela and Corrine Montoya and her husband Emil; grandchildren, Abraham Barela, Crystal Gutierrez, James Barela, Juan Gutierrez, Lani Barela, Naomi Barela, Yvonne Gutierrez, Heather Chavez, Arianna Martinez, Jonathan Chavez, Erica Martinez, Andrew Chavez and Estevan Padilla; great-grandchildren, Anna Barela, Alize Gutierrez, Destiny Gutierrez, Adrianna Gutierrez, and Amarrisa Gutierrez-Gonzales; stepchildren, Lorraine Otero, Sarah Martinez and her husband Jody, Paul Otero and his wife Anita, and Bernadette Otero. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Young officiating. Pallbearers will be Abraham Barela, Juan Gutierrez, Jonathan Chavez, Andrew Chavez, Estevan Padilla and Keith Sanchez. GONZALES -- Juanita Gonzales, 80, passed away on July 10, 2010. She was born on July 8, 1930 to Catarino and Fulencia Chavez, in Trementina, NM. She is survived by her children Christine, Jose (wife Lorie), and Lawrence; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie (wife Gina); sister-in-law, Priscilla Chavez; and many nephews and nieces. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Orlando, David, Christopher, Jolene, Lawrence, and Dominic; Honorary Casket Bearers are the many friends that she made along her long journey.
