Romo -- Ferminia G. Romo, 93, went home May 31, 1998. She was born in Los Valles De San Augustine, NM, to Anastasia and Lorenzo Garcia. She is survived by sons, Felix Romo and wife, Romana, Tony Garcia and wife, Carmen; daughters, Maria Andrea Vallez, Merlinda Gonzales and husband, Lalo, Marcella Lopez and husband, Soilo, Frances Lopez and husband, Ignacio, Lucy Romero and husband, Joe, Dolores Soto and husband, Paul; 35 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Petra Lujan; and special niece Gloria Lambroski. She was preceded in death by husband, Felix Romo; daughter Helen Ruiz; and grandsons, Jerry Gonzales, Charles Romero and Danny Romo. Services will be held at First Spanish Baptist Church, corner of Belair and Clarmont NE, at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 1998, with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Art Lopez, Floyd Gonzales, Frank Romero, Nash Lopez, Michael Soto, Darlene Salazar, Belinda Garcia, Antoinette Vigil and Sara Ruiz. Santillanes -- Mr. Bonifacio J. Santillanes, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 22, 1998. Mr. Santillanes is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Dolores; his mother, Mrs. Theresa Santillanes; five daughters, Yolanda Martinez and Anthony, Loretta Jaramillo and husband, Val, Linda Barela and husband, Andrew, Lorraine Villanueva and Leonard, and Lucille Santillanes and Gary; four sons, Eloy Santillanes and wife, Julia, Alfred Santillanes and wife, Susanne, Louie Maldonado and wife, Carol, and Lloyd Maldonado and Maria Elena; three sisters, Rosella Martinez, Carmen Madrid and Diana Flores; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Santillanes was a member of the Catholic Church, Veteran of U.S. Navy, serving during WWII, and was retired from the AT & SF Railroad. Visitation will be Monday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mrs. Gabriella Nieto. Final viewing will be in the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5414 Fortuna Rd. NW, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Father Joel Garner, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors by D.A.V. Chapter 3. Pallbearers will be Louie Maldonado Jr., Eric Santillanes, Mike Rivera, Michael Maldonado, Alfred Santillanes Jr. and Thomas Villanueva. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Lujan and Dominic Maldonado. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of the arrangements.

Castillo -- Frances Castillo, 78, a resident of Albuquerque and a long time residence of the Barelas Community passed away Friday, May 15, 1998. She was born April 18, 1920 in Tome, NM. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She is survived by four sons, Robert, Michael and Johnny Castillo all of Albuquerque, Richard Castillo of CA; nine daughters, Mary Ann Lujan, Viola Padilla, Lupe Wiggins, Lydia Salas, Linda, Barbara, Tina and Cecilia Castillo all of Albuquerque, Betty Gonzales of Los Lunas, NM; 36 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the Rosary, which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 19, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Castillo -- Mr. Santiago Castillo, age 68, died Thursday in Albuquerque. Mr. Castillo worked for the DAV and the Post 72. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Lujan Castillo and father, Edwardo Castillo. Mr. Castillo is survived by his wife, Maria Castillo; sister, Mickie Torres; and sister-in-law, Mauricia Montoya and husband, Ernie; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Castillo will be held on Monday at the Sacred Heart Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernie Montoya, Ted Castillo, Eddie Montoya, Greg Chisalom, Alfonso Otero and Boleslo Perea. Visitation for Mr. Castillo will be held in the mortuary chapel on Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.
