TORRES, JOSE I. (JOE) age 71, our beloved son, brother and uncle passed away on February 4, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was a Vietnam Vet who proudly served his country. He was preceded in death by his father Juan B. Torres. Joe is survived by his mother Rosella Torres; three sisters Maria Gutierrez and husband Ben, Peggy Torres, Gabriela Taylor and husband Bill; brothers Leo, Benny and his wife Judy; nieces Betty Baca, Isabel Ibarra and other nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed forever. Joe has been laid to rest. May you rest in peace.

GONZALES, CONRAD FRANK Age 64, of Corrales, passed away on February 4, 2013. Frank was born on March 23, 1948 to the late Conrad I. and Ina Mae Gonzales. Frank was 6th generation Corralino who's family dates back to 1790 to Captain Don Juan Gonzales who was the original Land Grant families. Frank grew up in his Corrales home, which served the community with a general store, post office and gas station from 1933-1958. To his good friends and neighbors he was known as Poncho, a nickname given to him by Mr. Sandoval the school crossing guard. In the early years of film production in New Mexico, Frank, with his father, visited the filming of "Lonely are the Brave" in the Sandia Mountains. This inspired him to begin his film career in the 1980's. He owned a documentary film production company. He also performed as a stuntman in western films. During this same time he operated a trail ride and chuck wagon with his lifelong friend Boots. To this day you can see his 1954 Chevy truck and horses in such films as "Silverado." He also wrote and produced television advertisements. In the 1990's Frank began his love for Yoga and Tai chi and studies of all religions. He operated the Center for Yoga Studies in 1995 with Judy Pimentel. Frank served in the Corrales Village counsel and represented Corrales and small farmers in Washington DC in a special meeting with then President Bill Clinton. Surviving are his Son, Paul Christian Gonzales, his daughter, Tracie Lynn Gonzales. Sister; Lynda Gonzales. Grandchildren; Ashley Gonzales, Travis Rutherford, McKenna Gibson, Pablito Gonzales. SMITH, MARIE a long-time Albuquerque resident, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013, in Carlsbad, California, at age 86 after a short illness. Marie moved to Albuquerque with her husband, Bill (William F. C.) in 1959, when he began his career in the Weapons Laboratory of Kirtland Air Force Base. They lived first in the N. Valley until 1968 and then in the Heights until 2006 when she joined her children in Carlsbad, California. Marie was an active member of the Uptown Garden Club,, St. Joseph Hospital Candy Auxiliary, the Casa de Angelica Auxiliary, the Albuquerque Symphony Orchestra Guild, the Santa Fe Opera Guild, and the Fiesta Singers. Marie was president of the Albuquerque Chapter of the SFO Guild in 1982. She and Bill were early investors in the Sandia Peak Tramway. Later in life she especially enjoyed collecting everything Scottie. Marie is survived by son Chris, his wife, Valerie, and granddaughter Olivia; son Bill and his wife, Robin, all of California; sister-in-law Grace Schulte; and nephews George and Gregory, all of Florida. Marie will be interred in Albuquerque at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery following a funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 16th at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont Street, NE. Friends are invited to join the family for an informal reception after the burial service.

LINZMEIER, HANNELORE "LORI" Age, 83, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away February 3, 2013. Lori was born February 22, 1929 in Essen, Germany to Heinrich and Johanne Schnare. In 1952 she moved to Sioux City, IA, where she met Bill Linzmeier while working at Dun & Bradstreet. They married December 7, 1963 and moved to Albuquerque in 1969, where they raised their family and became a part of Asbury United Methodist Church. Lori worked at the American Automobile Association "AAA" for over 24 years, where she made many friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Heinz Schnare, Klaus Schnare, and Dieter Schnare. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill; daughter, Barbara Lewis and husband Jeff; son, Bruce Linzmeier and Sylvia; and grandchildren, Stephanie and Evan. As per Lori's wishes cremation will take place. LINZMEIER, HANNELORE "LORI" Age, 83, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away February 3, 2013. Lori was born February 22, 1929 in Essen, Germany to Heinrich and Johanne Schnare. OPSTEDAL, ANTHONY (TONY) JOSEPH was born on May 15, 1922 to Joseph Arnold Opstedal and Eleanora Ann Hawell of Munich, ND. Tony went to his Lord from his home in Albuquerque on January 29, 2013. Tony served in the Army during WWII and received a purple heart for wounds he received on an island in the Philippines. He attended Seattle University after WWII where he graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. He worked for a short time on the Alaskan Highway and then accepted a position with the US Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife. He started his career in Portland Oregon then moved his wife and 6 children to Albuquerque in 1954. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Post 401, a charter member of the Elks Club in Vernal Utah, member of the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, an avid golfer until the age of 86, and could be found making wagers in Sandia Casino after retiring from golf on almost any given day. Tony retired from the Fish and Wildlife Department as the regional construction inspection supervisor in 1972 at the age of 50. He started Opstedal Construction and Engineering company with his oldest son in 1975. He retired for the second time in 2002 at the age of 80. He lost his beloved wife Mary, in 2006 and spent the next six and a half years waiting for the day he would see her again in Paradise. That day arrived January 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Aaron, Arnold and Eugene; his wife, Mary, his oldest son, Anthony Michael Opstedal, and one grandson, Matthew Joseph Brians. Tony is survived by one sister, Luella Olson of Washington state; four daughters, Mary Lee Brians of Albuquerque, NM, Theresa Joyce Lyons of West Branch, Iowa, Frances Irene Christianson of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Barbara Ann Goddard of Albuquerque, NM and one son, Joseph William Opstedal of Monterrey, Mexico. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Febrauary 5, 2013 at Shrine of St. Bernadette at 11509 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be William (Bill) Maguire, Kevin Millikan, Chilion Opstedal, Shawn Baciccini, Kyle Baciccini and Gary Durbin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Garett Christianson, Damon Shelton, Nathan Goddard and Michael Opstedal. KING, WILLIAM FRANK (BILL) age 98 and a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1945, went home to be with our Lord and Savior and his beloved wife Monnie, Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was a wonderful husband and father. Bill was a member of Faith Chapel Church for 68 years and loved to work for his Lord. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Monnie; mother, Leona; father, John; brother, John; and sisters, Rebecca, Mary and Emily. He is survived by 3 sons, Larry & Tom living in Albuquerque & John who lives in Grand Junction, CO; and 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Faith Chapel, 1726 Girard NE, Albuquerque, NM, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. viewing will start at 9:00 a.m. The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
