Espinoza -- Ray Espinoza, 64, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Saturday, September 12, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Angelica Espinoza of Albuquerque; daughters, Juliette Flemate and husband, Raul, and Antonia Bello and husband, John, all of Arizona, Ramona Dominguez and husband, Jose, and Amanda Morales and husband, Joe, all of California; son, Benny F. Espinoza of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Wessels and husband, Larry, Mary Smith, and husband, Dennis, Yolanda Claus, and husband, Fred, all of California; brothers, Joe Espinoza and wife, Chiquita, and Ernest Espinoza and wife, Regan, all of California; sister-in-law, Dora Espinoza of California; and numerous nephews and nieces. Ramon worked for 40 years at American Airlines, retiring in 1985 as a crew chief in air cargo. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Jaramillo, Celebrant. Private disposition of cremains will take place at a later date. Holman -- Bertha L. Holman, 92, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, September 11, 1998. She is survived by her grandchildren, Rex Holman and Jimmy Dan Crumpton and wife, Rose, all of Los Lunas, NM, and Carolyn Alderete and husband, Ray of Albuquerque; great-grandchild, Billy Crumpton of Los Lunas; sisters, Audry Patty of Carlsbad, NM and Fay Howell of Brownsville, TX; and brother, Marshall Reno and wife, Ruth of Post, TX. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at University Church of Christ, 1701 Gold Ave SE, with Mr. Lynn Huff officiating. Maes -- Henry B. (Enriquez), 78, died Friday, September 11, 1998, after a long illness. Mr. Maes was born in Willard, NM, and has been a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maria of the family home; sons, Frank Maes and wife, Georgia, Anthony Maes, and Adrian Maes and wife, Gerrie, all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Benjamin Maes, Julie Maes, Adrianne Maes, and Angela Maes; one great-grandson, Enriquez Maes; brothers, Ambrocio Maes and wife, Jessie, and Benito Maes and wife, Esky; sisters, Gertrude Lueras and husband, D.J., Molly Torrez and husband, Eddie; and very close cousin, Erminio Jaramillo. Mr. Maes is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Maes, Rose McTeague, Rosalie Warcken, and Clara Romero. Mr. Maes was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Parish. He served in the US Army during WWII and he was retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center after 33 years of employment there. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Sister Rosina Sandoval and the Marianites reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Claremont and Utah Aves. NE, with Father Richard Olona, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Maes, Michael Garley, Richard Mora, Jeffrey Gallegos, Robert Romero, and George Gomez. Maisel -- Edith Maisel passed away Friday, September 11, 1998 after a long and wonderful life. She was born in Albuquerque Feb. 11, 1916 to Cyma and Maurice Maisel. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Lindalee Maisel; grandchildren, Lee Maurice and wife, Maria, and Karen Maisel; her brother, S.L."Bud" Maisel and his wife, Jackie, sister-in-law, Jerry Maisel. Edith is also survived by her dear friends, Connie M. Sanchez, Jean Stillman and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Albert Maisel M.D. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Edith Maisel will be held Tuesday, September 15, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. in Temple Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, with Rabbi Joseph R. Mcdonald -- Fred McDonald, age 66, passed away peacefully Friday at home in the company of his family after a long illness. His unconditional love, compassion, and gentleness will be carried on by the lives of everyone he touched. He is preceded in death by his son Leslie. He is survived by his wife Lilly of 44 years; five children, Debra LeMaster and her husband, Robert of Albuquerque, Stephen McDonald and his wife, Susie of Los Lunas, David McDonald and his wife, Shireen of Los Lunas, Susan Mendoza and her husband, Rafael of Stafford, VA, and Patricia McDonald of Albuquerque. He has ten grandchildren, Melissa and Luke LeMaster, Andrew, Stephanie, and Jessica McDonald, Jared and Justine McDonald, Kathlene, Christopher, and Alex Mendoza, and one great-grandchild, Rose LeMaster. A memorial service for Fred will be held Tuesday September 15, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE with his nephew John Conwell officiating. Moul -- Jolene A. Moul, 62, a resident of Albuquerque for 19 years, died Sunday, September 13, 1998. Jolene was the beloved wife of Richard E. Moul; mother, of Michael, Gary, and Linda Darnell; and mother to Rick and Steven Moul, Debra Stinson, Randie Bricklin, and all the grandchildren. Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Riley -- Bobby K. Riley, 65, of Farmington passed away Thursday, September 10th at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Mr. Riley was born February 22, 1933 in Antler, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Albuquerque for 21 1/2 years and of Farmington for 11 years. He was member of the Wild Life Conservation and of National Rifle Association and Retired as a Regional Manager with the FAA. Preceded in death by his parents Virgil Guy and Verda Alene Riley, two grandchildren, Benjamin and Taylor Lee. Survivors include his wife Frances J. Riley of Farmington; two sons, Jeffrey Riley and wife, Margaret of Albuquerque, Thomas A. Riley and wife, Crystal also of Albuquerque; two daughters, Sharon Stonehouse and husband, Tony of Helena, Montana, Susan Baron Stonehouse and husband, Serge of Flora Vista; one brother, Dave Riley and wife, Elizabeth of Portland, Oregon; Barbara Barber and husband, Scott also of Portland, Oregon; 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 14th at the Brewer, Lee & Larkin Chapel in Farmington. Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15th at the Bethany Christian Church, 711 East 30th in Farmington with Reverend John Mark Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Colton Baron, Jeffrey L. Riley, Thomas A. Riley, Tony Stonehouse, Serge Baron, Clint Russell and Lucas Stonehouse. Smith -- Mary Alice Smith, 92, a resident of New Mexico for over 60 years, died Sunday, September 13, 1998. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dorothea (Dee) Schiff and husband, Duane of Albuquerque, Jerry D. Adcox and wife, Theresa Greenup of Bosque Farms, and Synthia Ann McLain and husband, Carroll of Cuba, NM; stepsons, Gene M. Smith and wife, Eva of Lubbock, TX and Gale W. Smith, also of Texas; stepdaughter, Udella Louise Kemp and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; stepnephew, Leo B. (Skeet) Patterson of Las Cruces; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Smith; and daughter, Gladys Ardell Adcox. Mrs. Smith was very active in the Baptist churches of Estancia, Cuba, and Los Lunas. She was an inspiration and a strength to all who knew her. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Marquis -- Josephine Margaret Marquis Wilch passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 1998. She was born in Central City, Nebraska, on August 29, 1907, to Ethel and Pars Marquis. She moved to Denver, Colorado, when she was eighteen years old, where she married Lawrence Denning Wilch, who preceded her in death. She worked for the Air Force Finance Center in Denver for twenty years, retiring in 1969. Josephine lived a long and wonderful life and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Marilynn Tabor, of Rio Rancho, NM, and Laurel Powell and husband, Bob of Corrales, NM; sister, Elaine Wheeler and husband, Howard, of Westlake Village, CA; granddaughters, Karen Axell and Paul Neigel, of Vancouver, WA, Karla Axell and husband, Chuck Blumenfeld, of Seattle, WA, and Jennifer Bernardi and husband, Randy Bernardi, of Oklahoma City, OK; grandsons, Rick Murray and wife, Lenna of Albuquerque, NM, Rob Murray of Corrales, and Kris Axell and wife, Cheryl, of Bellevue, WA; and great-grandchildren, Dustin, Michelle, Kevin, Jonathan, Tyson, Matthew, Jeffrey, Dalton, and Alisa, and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was an accomplished organist and pianist and performed in many clubs in Denver and the surrounding area. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1981, and performed with the Palo Duro Senior Citizens Band. She lived at the Mountain View Manor Sheltered Care Home for the past two years and we thank them for all the loving care she received from everyone. Cremation has taken place and Rose Garden services will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM, on Tuesday, September 15, 1998, at 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society and set aside some time to appreciate the precious moments in life. Atencio -- Mr. Phillip B. Atencio, 91, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 11, 1998. Mr. Atencio was born on December 28, 1906 in Tucumcari, NM to Pedro and Merejilda Atencio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Atencio and his brother, Bennie Atencio. Mr. Atencio is survived by his brother, Joseph U. Atencio and wife, Delia of Roswell, NM; four sisters, Margaret Otero of Tucumcari, Caroline A. Romero of Albuquerque, Mary Esquibel and husband, Sosteno of Tucumcari and Theresa Baca of Amarillo, TX; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Mr. Atencio was a member of the catholic church. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr., SW from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 4:00. Final visitation will be Monday morning in the Holy Family Church, 564 Atrisco from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:00, Father Jack, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest Atencio, Dru E. Jones, Christopher R. Jones, Earl Atencio, Louis Romero and Reynaldo J. Cordova.
