BABCOCK, DONALD born on May 5, 1937 earned his wings on August 11, 2014 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survived by his wife Marguerite Babcock of 59 years. Together they have four children Tyonna Babcock, Michelle Johnsonbaugh (Brad), Don Babcock (Laurie), Marc Babcock (Renee); six grandchildren TyRae (Joseph), Jovie, Aubrey (Kevin), Roman, Nava, Reign; ten great- grandchildren Dezirae, Dedra, Demi, Isaiah, Jessica, Jolene, CJ, Jovan, Elaina, Brady; four great-great- grandchildren Dezmin, Mariah, Micah, and Delilah. Served in the Air Force from 1954-1960. He was a well respected business owner in Albuquerque, owner of Crown Lounge and Package, Extra Pointe Lounge, The Senate Lounge in Santa Fe and Marcos Restaurant. He was #1 salesperson for years at Tillery and Galles Chevrolet. In our hearts forever, until we meet again. Rosary will be held Monday 8/18/14 at 7pm at Riverside Funeral, Home 225 San Mateo Blvd N.E. Visitation with family 6-7pm. Mass of Resurrection Tuesday 8/19/14 at St. Therese Little Flower Chuch, 300 Mildred Rd. N.E. at 9am. Followed by burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Reception at Post 13 located at 1201 Mountain Rd. N.E. 2:30pm. BACA, ELOISA B. Age 84, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2014. She is survived by children, Ruben D. Baca, Arlene Baca-O'Hara, Carl L. Baca and fiancee, Eloisa Taylor, and Michelle Ledford and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Julianna, Courtney, Ashley, Melissa, Christina, Deanna, Tamara, Jensen, Sabrina, and Jake; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Lydia Vigil and husband, Delfinio; and her aunt, Premia Quiroz. Mrs. Baca was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael V. Baca; daughter, Dolores Baca-Barton and her granddaughter, Victoria O'Hara. Eloisa was born and raised in Grants, NM and enjoyed visiting the family ranch in Cubero, NM. She was a wonderful cook. Eloisa enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She was a devoted Catholic and longtime member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, August 16, 2014, 9:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix NE. CHAVEZ, ARISTEO (MELVIN) age 53, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014. Melvin is survived by his parents, Fred and Equilda Chavez; children, David Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Julia Chavez, and Olivia Chavez; sisters, Rebecca Ortega, Elizabeth Chavez and husband, Abelino; brothers, Joseph Chavez (Manny) and wife, Geri, Fred (Anthony) Chavez; special friend, Darlene Fernandez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Olivero and Julia Chavez; maternal grandparents, Magdeleno and Andrea Chavez; and his uncle, Joe Frank Chavez. Melvin was a devoted Catholic and a strong Republican. He truly enjoyed his job at Isleta Casino as a Pit Boss while mentoring and interacting with his customers, and always remembering "It's always showtime!!" He loved playing tennis and was an avid hunter and also loved singing eighties songs to karaoke. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. Final visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Los Padillas Cemetery. DALESANDRO, MILDRED (MILLIE) Age 90, journeyed peacefully to meet her Lord on August 13, 2014. She was born in Chadron, Nebraska on May 30, 1924. She was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Her interests and hobbies over the years included bowling, dancing, playing bridge, participating in ESA sorority activities and traveling to Hawaii. In 1944, she married George Pogan. She was presently married to Del Dalesandro since 1975. She is survived by her loving husband, Del; and devoted children, including one son, Jerry Pogan (Renee) of Albuquerque and three daughters, Reva Parks of Salida, CO, Janis Wilson (Brian) of Littleton, CO, and Rhonda Reymann of Englewood, CO. Also surviving her are nine special grandchildren and 11 special great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Maud Byer; and her brother, Harlan Byer. Millie will be fondly remembered for her vibrant personality, beautiful red hair, and her ability to socialize anywhere and anytime. As per Millie's request, there are no services planned. HELMAN, MICHAEL RAY Michael Ray Helman, born in Albuquerque October 7, 1967, passed away August 6, 2014 at the age of 46. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lauren E. Helman, and his adopted children Austin and Kennedee of Splendora, Texas; mother Lisa L. Helman; his father Ray M. Helman and wife Lonny R. James of Placitas; aunts and uncles Chris and Dan Doughty and Mary Lou and Nick Frangos; cousins Carolyn & Michael Junchaya of Rio Rancho and Sara and Dave Tabor of St. Paul, MN. Mike loved his family and enjoyed time spent together. He was an avid motorcyclist, and looked forward to weekend rides with his dad. Mike was drawn to Maui and the ocean by his love of windsurfing, and he spent many years there before returning to live in Albuquerque. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 18 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE. The Rosary will be followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 8:30 AM. HERMOSILLO, BENJAMIN "BENJIE" June 19, 1972 - August 6, 2014 Benjie Hermosillo died in a motorcycle accident in Guadalajara, Mexico on August 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father Jesus Hermosillo. He is survived by mother Anna; sister Adrianna (Lucy) Hermosillo-Armijo and husband Alan; brother George; son Benjamin; nephew Allonzo; and niece Alanna. Services were held in Guadalajara.

LAYCOCK, BRIGITTE C. Age 89, went to be with the Lord on August 13th, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Laycock; and her sister, Renate Plummer. Brigitte is survived by her daughter, Brigitte Taylor and husband, Steve; son, James Paul Laycock; her grandsons, Stephen, Matthew, and John Laycock; her brother-in-law, Robert Plummer, and many close friends. Brigitte was an active member in the Ikebana Chapter, the Old Glass Club, and the BBBC Bridge Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, and taking care of her turtles. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched. Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming with a Reception to follow. LYNCH, JOHN G. JR. Age 77, longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on August 14, 2014. He is survived by his spouse Karen Lynch and his two precious four legged children Kris and Kiki. John was active in numerous charitable organizations over the years including Albuquerque Civic Light Opera, Albuquerque Little Theatre, International Balloon Fiesta and Zoological Park. He was a balloon pilot flying throughout the US and in recent years had enjoyed working in local theatre and film productions. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Monday 8/18/14 at the Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7999 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

PARSEN, TONY E. born April 4, 1942, in Las Vegas, New Mexico and passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Albuquerque. Tony was a mechanic and will be remembered for his love of old cars & riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Filomena Salas Parsen; wife, Jean Parsen; and brother Frank Parsen. Tony is survived by his nine children, Anthony, Bob and wife Mary, Diane and husband Danny Ray, Louie and wife Michelle, Tony and wife Gloria, Jessie, Bridgette and husband Timothy, Brenda, and Darla; twenty five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Dolores Lopez and husband Chano, and Rosie Apodaca; brothers Ernie Parson and wife Mercy, and Gilbert Parson and wife Cecilia; many nieces and nephews; his dear dogs Snowball, Lover Boy, and Chiquita, as well as other family members and friends who loved Tony and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 562 Atrisco SW. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 18, 2014, at 11:00am. A private family burial will take place at a later date. ROCHETTE, ADELARD (AL) LUCIEN Age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 35 years, died August 10, 2014. He was born in Lowell, MA in April 1929 and was raised there until he joined the Coast Guard with which he served for 20 years. He retired from the Coast Guard in 1967 as Chief Boatswain's Mate, Chief Petty Officer in Newcastle, NH. In 1979, Al and his family moved to Albuquerque. He retired from Kirtland AFB as Superintendent of Civil Engineering after 19 years. Al is survived by his wife, Veronica (Martino) Rochette of Albuquerque; three children, William Rochette of Memphis TN, Richard Rochette of Albuquerque, NM and Veronica Campton and husband Mark of San Francisco, CA; four grandchildren, Joanna Foster, Stacey Valiton, Samuel Campton and Alice McKenna Campton; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Beatrice Rossiter and Parkey Souza and husband Donald, all of New Hampshire. Al was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth; and parents, Adelard and Collette Rochette Pellitier. Al was a lifelong Catholic. He was involved in Knights of Columbus, Civitan, and volunteered at Bear Canyon Senior Center as well as New Mexico Veterans Memorial. His favorite pastimes were walking and fishing. He will be remembered for his kindness and warm smile and dearly missed by his family and friends. ROYCE, LAURA JANE A longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the age of 76. Jane was born on June 26, 1938 in Clay Center, KS, the daughter of Howard and Ethel Clark. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her sons, Anson Royce and wife, Wendy of Albuquerque, and Morgan Royce and wife, Nicole Custer, of Albuquerque; five cherished grandchildren, Ashley Martin and husband, Simon, of Rogers, AR, Christopher Royce, Josh Royce, Lauren Custer, and Kindell Custer of Albuquerque; and sister, Joan Demeritt of Reno, NV. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jevene Ginder of Kingsland, TX.
