CASIAS, RICHARD A. MAJOR USA RET. September 8, 1943 - December 5, 2013 Husband, father, and grandfather, will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his Father, Andres A Casias. He is survived by: Wife, Pamela V Casias; Daughter, Lesley Cummins and husband Tod; Son, Mark Casias and wife Angie; three grandchildren, Tod Jr. and wife Barbara, Corazon, Tigerlilly Cummins; one great-grandson, Sebastian Cummins; mother, Margie Casias; sisters, Linda Sena and husband Jerry, Cathy Valdez and husband Ron, Cindy Wing and husband Chris, Christine Casias; brother, Patrick Casias and wife Laurie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a large extended family of friends. A Mass will celebrate Richard's life on December 19th at 9:00am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth Street N.W. Albuquerque NM. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. DOMENICO, BARBARA MCMAIN Barbara McMain Domenico, born in Missouri on June 1, 1933, died peacefully in Asheville, North Carolina on December 06, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Domenico; brother, Robert McNeill; daughter, Cass McMain; and son-in-law Paul Holley.

GOODWIN, ZANE M. Zane went to be with his lord and family on Dec. 7, 2013. Born in a migrant workers camp outside Santa Fe on Jan. 27, 1931, he grew up in Santa Fe and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1949. The first member of his family ever to attend college, he graduated from UNM earning a degree in civil engineering. The next 32 years were spent with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Zane was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Helen Cox Goodwin, the mother of his three sons. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Carol; by his sons Mark, Mike and his wife Jackie, Matt and his wife Lisa; by his daughters Liesa, Lesley and her fiance Salvatore; by his grandchildren Evan, Lauren, Zane, Martha, Sadie Rose and Daniel. Zane touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will be a Mass held at Immaculate Conception Church in downtown ABQ. on Dec. 27, 2013 at 9:30am. All are welcome. This will be followed by his burial at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Santa Fe. A celebration of his life will be held on Jan.4, 2014, 1:00pm- 4:00pm, at 5204 Roanoke Ave. NW in Albuquerque. The inurnment at Santa Fe is scheduled for 1:30pm on the 27th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association. HURST, RAYMOND JOSEPH Feb. 28, 1923 - Dec. 4, 2013 Ray Hurst had a smile, a story and wisdom from the Bible to share with everyone he met. An accomplished pianist, Ray played professionally and also piloted a B-17 for the Army Air Corp in the 1940s, missing his first combat assignment to England by just a week when Germany surrendered. But Ray's primary concern in life was preaching from God's Word. He became a full-time minister in the late 1950s with his wife, Mary Ann. In 1969, Ray began serving as a Circuit Overseer for Jehovah's Witnesses in North Dakota, followed by similar assignments in several states throughout the country, including New Mexico. The couple retired from the traveling work in Albuquerque, settling into the Sierra Vista Congregation. Ray was preceded in death by his son David James, and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, their grandson Eric and great-grandson Seth. A memorial service is set for 3:00 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6509 Signal Ave. NE.

JOHNSON, EARLE E. Age 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. He is survived by son, Larry Johnson; his daughter, Deanna Gear; grandchildren, Brady Gear and wife Anna, and Lindsay Gear; one cousin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Delphine Johnson; and sister, Lois Walmsley. Earle grew up in Falun, KS, was a WWII veteran and worked for International Harvester for 35 years in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing with his family. Earle was musically and artistically talented, especially in landscape painting, building projects for his grandchildren and playing piano. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church and sang with the choir for many years. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. MONTOYA, GERALD J. Age 55, a lifelong resident of Jemez Springs, NM, passed away on December 1, 2013. He is survived by children, Crystal, Heather, Justen; two grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie, Evaristo Jr., Pete; his four sisters, Genevieve, Frances (Kika), Mary and Rita. A Memorial Service and interment will take place at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs on Tuesday, December 17 at 10:30am. He will be missed.

SANDOVAL, GERALD (JER) L. age 47, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, born on April 13, 1966 to Carlos and Viola Sandoval. Surrounded by his loving family he passed away on December 9, 2013 after a long illness. He was a lifelong Roofer where he worked throughout the United States and he worked on numerous natural disaster cleanup efforts, the one most notable was Hurricane Katrina. Gerald is survived by his daughters, Juanita Gonzales and Celia Ea (Tony); son, Allen Sandoval; granddaughters, Desiree, Brianna, Destiny, Naomi, Alyssa and Aciliya; parents, Carlos and Viola Sandoval; sister, Doris Tellez (John); brothers, Anthony Sandoval (Carolyn) and Greg Sandoval (Loretta); uncle, Ruben Ramirez (Clara); aunt, Angie Trujillo and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. All services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at San Clemente Catholic Church, beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM, followed by recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 AM. TORRES, JOSEPHINE Age 81, a lifelong resident of Socorro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. She was born in Socorro on March 19, 1932 to Juan B. and Teresita (Trujillo) Gonzales. Josephine grew up in Socorro and graduated from Socorro High School. She married Felix C. Torres not long after she graduated and they raised six children and four step-children. Josephine and Felix managed the Florida Mobile Home Park for many years and she worked as a sales clerk at Newberrys from 1984-1998. She was a great cook and loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren around. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Felix who passed away in 1987; her step-daughter, Frances Lopez; her brothers, Johnny Gonzales; and Frank Gonzales; and her sisters, Ramona Trujillo; Irene Garcia; Gertrude Long; and Concha Gianera. Josephine is survived by her devoted children, Della Vega and husband, Lencho; Theresa Del Curto and husband, Pete; Sandra Aerts and husband Robert; Christopher Torres; Thomas Torres and wife, Debbie; and Douglas Torres and wife, Gloria; her step-children, Felix Torres Jr and wife, Margaret; Jerry Torres and wife, Cindy; Alfred Torres and wife, Loudres; her sisters, Linda Griego; and Priscilla Saavedra; her brother, Max Gonzales; her loving grandchildren, Joey Vega and wife, Loretta; Delilah Walsh and husband, Dennis; Ryan Del Curto; Scott Del Curto; Cynthia Aerts; Jasmine Torres; Jared Torres and wife, Farl; Christopher Torres Jr; David Torres and wife, Merlinda; Jessica Torres; and Patrick Torres. VALENCIA, MARY CELESTINA Age 104, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 with family by her side. She is survived by her children, Don Valencia and his wife, Yvonne, Ernest Valencia and his wife, Charlotte, Dorothy Garcia and her husband, Juan, Paul Valencia and his wife, Genevieve and Antonette Aragon and her husband, Paul; 21 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren and 8 great-great- grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio and Rita Paiz; her husband, Henry Valencia; daughter, Gloria Torres; and son-in-law, George; and all her siblings. Mary was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe and belonged to the Legion of Mary. She devoted her life to her children and family and will be greatly missed by all those her life touched.
