BUCKMAN, JAMES James, age 89, passed away peacefully October 4, 2013 in Bullhead City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Emily Buckman and Laura Torres, and two twin grandsons. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Gutierrez (Punky) and her husband, Tony; grandsons, Dennis Torres and his wife Tanya, Albert Torres and his partner Letisha, Eric Buckman and his wife Di'ana; his granddaughter, Emily Gutierrez and her husband Josh; eight great- granddaughters; and one great-grandson. No services will be held his ashes will be buried in Arkansas at a later date.

CORDOVA, CECILIA "SALLY" MONTOYA of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her son's home in Tijeras, New Mexico. Sally was born May 13, 1922 to Jose G. Archibeque and Trinidad (Chavez) Archibeque in Palma, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cordova; sister, Aurelia Larranaga; brothers, Victor Archibeque, Max Archibeque and Trinidad Salazar; grandson, David Herrera and great granddaughter, Juanita Vigil. Sally is survived by her son, Ernest Archibeque and wife Margarita. She is also survived by daughter, Patsy Herrera and husband David and by two half sisters, Mary Santoya and Virginia Cassidy; her grandchildren, Yvonne Vigil, Brian Archibeque, Carol Chavez and Jennifer Archibeque-Morales. Other survivors include thirteen great- grandchildren, seventeen great-great- grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and dear friends, whom she loved dearly and will miss her greatly. Services will be held at Holy Child Parish in Tijeras, New Mexico on Thursday, October 10, 2013. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being Celebrated at 10:00 a.m., with Father Mark Granito, celebrant. A meal will be served at the parish hall immediately following the services. Interment will then follow at the Larranaga Family Ranch Cemetery in Red Hills, New Mexico. DURAN, ERLINDA G. Age 86, born in Magdalena, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 5, 2013. She is survived by her children, Joe D. Duran and wife, Joanne of Port Aransas, TX, Laurence Duran of Albuquerque, NM, Pauline Roche and husband, Rick of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Kerrie Murphy, Christopher Sandoval, Gabriel Duran II and wife, Robin, Lori Sandoval and husband, Josh, Jennifer Gohrick and husband, Tim, Elliott Duran, James Parr and wife, Lara; great grandchildren, Sean, Shawn, Audrey, Sophie, Synderalia, Valentino and many other family and friends. Mrs. Duran was preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon; her children, Gabriel J. Duran, Gloria J. Sandoval, Josephine Lundberg; her parents, Genovevo and Paublita Garcia. EGNOR, JUSTIN ANTHONY "TONY" Age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, October 6, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jacqueline K. Egnor of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Gail A. (Dennis) Heflick of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Gavin Gorrell; grandson, Cooper (Margo) Heflick; granddaughter, Jessica (Wilder) Castiblanco of Albuquerque, NM; and great- granddaughters, Charlotte Heflick and Santana Castiblanco. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Egnor; mother, Gertrude Egnor; one brother, Donald Egnor; and one sister, Rosemary Brown. He joined the Air Force when he was 17 years old and served his country proudly for the United States Air Force for over 30 years, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. Then Tony spent 13 years at Vandenberg AFB, where he worked on Satellites and also earned his BA degree. A member of the Lompoc Kiwanis Club, where he served as President and Secretary. Tony also served on numerous boards on Vandenberg AFB. After retirement he moved to Pleasanton, CA where Tony went to work for LockHeed Martin Industries as a group engineer. After 13 year with LockHeed Martin he retired for good. He moved to Longview, TX where he and his wife, Jacqueline pursued their passion for traveling and volunteering, they traveled to all fifty states, Europe, Taiwan, China, New Zealand and Australia. Tony was active the Pinetree Methodist Church, Longview Kiwanis Club and the ARK LA TEX thunderbird club. Tony was happiest when he was serving the needy children of the community, Kiwanis offered him a lifetime member award, Legion of Honor, Bush Award, and Hixon Award. They left many dear friends in the Longview area. In 1990 they moved to Albuquerque, to be closer to their daughter and family. Again they put children first in their volunteering. He leaves behind many good friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank all the people from Presbyterian Hospice, especially Sandy for her caring and loving ways. JACKSON, WANETA 'NITA' Age, 82, passed away October 3, 2013. She was born June 6, 1932 in Kansas City, MO. Nita is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Jackson. She also leaves behind her children Christine Baker; Kevin Jackson; Kathy Edings; Anne Norero; Laura Colon; Mary Rakes; Paul Valdez; 15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Nita was a Rio Rancho resident since 1975 and a successful realtor here for 28 years. Nita enjoyed traveling to foreign places such as Paris and Rome and her last trip, which was to Israel. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed time with family and friends. Her servant spirit was an example for all. While we all dearly miss her, she is at peace with the Lord now. Services will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho followed by a reception at the family home. KISIEL, WALTER Dr. Walter Kisiel, 70, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed peacefully on the morning of October 5, 2013, in his home in Albuquerque. He is survived by his widow, Suzann Kisiel; his children, Katherine and Kevin; his grandsons, Austin and Nicholas; his sister, Lucy Mahdik; and his brothers, Joe, Len, and Tom Kisiel. Born in Tarentum, PA, December 1942, he devoted his life to his passion, scientific research, serving as a Professor of Pathology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of New Mexico from 1984 until his retirement in 2009 as Professor Emeritus. He collaborated with scientists from around the world in his efforts to discover new ways to fight diseases. The most notable of his achievements in his 40-year career was the creation and development of Factor Vlla, which has become a vital tool in the world of medicine. Most of all, he loved his family, and later in life found great joy in spending time with his young grandsons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. LEWIS, IMOGENE Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, October 7, 2013. She is survived by her children, Arlaine Lewis, Elaine Lewis, Robert Lewis and wife, Edie, all of Albuquerque, and Shelly Amo and husband, Tom of Portland, OR; her grandchildren, Melissa, Keanna, and Shane; and many other relatives and friends. Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Jack and Myrtle Allen; and brother, Hugh. She was a longtime member of University Heights United Methodist Church. Imogene was a faithful telephone operator at Sandia Base and was the creative and talented Christmas Shop coordinator at Dillards for many years. MILLIGAN, DARLENE M. Age 66, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday, October 7, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Lewis C. Bartel of Albuquerque; daughter, Chandelle M. Bullington of Mill Creek, WA; son, Raymond Bullington and wife, Tanya of Las Cruces; grandchildren, Mitchell, Gabrielle, Natasha, Rebecca and Makayla. She is also survived by her brother, Darwin Milligan and many other family and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marvis Milligan; her son, Eric Bullington and daughter, Sara Bullington. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church while in Texas. She worked in her earlier years for TRW and after receiving her Masters Degree in Counseling, she worked with patients with disabilities. RICHARD, LISA MARGARET Lisa, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died peacefully on Saturday, September 14th 2013, after a long illness. She was 58. She was the oldest child of J. Edgar and Marie B. Richard, of Alexandria, Virginia and previously Gardner, Massachusetts. Lisa was born in Gardner on March 28, 1955. She attended Gardner High School and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Santa Fe. After an eight year career in nursing, Lisa returned to school and received her law (J.D.) degree from University of New Mexico School of Law. In 1989 she began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Bernalillo County, New Mexico. She continued in this role until 1993, when she combined her medical experience and legal knowledge and established a successful personal injury practice. She married Robert Easton in 1981 & they had a daughter, Maia Richard Easton. They lived in Santa Fe and Glorieta, New Mexico, until they divorced in 1986. Lisa deeply valued family and her many friends from coast to coast who contributed their wisdom, advice and love to her life. Most of all Lisa loved and adored her daughter, Maia, and she spent a lifetime passionately shaping her into a self-sufficient woman and a best friend. All of these qualities made Maia Lisa's closest confidante and caregiver during the difficult days prior to her passing. Lisa developed a profound connection with New Mexico where she lived for the past 33 years. She spent much of her free time in her beloved Taos and her affection for it made it the place for her passing. Lisa lived a complete life filled with intensity, joy, the high desert, skiing in the mountains, Beethoven string quartets, good cooking, French red burgundy and so much more. In addition to her daughter and parents, Lisa is survived by a brother, Carl Richard, a sister, Anne Richard, and their respective spouses, Trish Richard and John Connor, all of Alexandria, Virginia. A private memorial service will be held in Taos, New Mexico. A public funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, Massachusetts, on Saturday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m., with interment in Notre Dame Cemetery immediately following the service.

SANCHEZ, PRESCILLA Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Monday, October 7, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born in Horsesprings, New Mexico and raised in El Cerro to Jesus and Agapita Ruiz. Prescilla adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto Sanchez and sister Mary Montoya.
