ARRIOLA, REYNALDO NEVAREZ Age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 26, 2013. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on June 16, 1956, to Guillermo "Willie" and Mary (Valdez) Arriola. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. Ray was a softball coach for Bernalillo for 14 years. He also officiated basketball, volleyball, and softball under NMAA for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Arriola, and a brother, Edward "Eddie" Arriola. BLASS, DONALD R. Passed away on September 28, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born on April 19, 1942 in Early, IA to Raymond and Dorothy Mae (Landgraf) Blass. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Mae (Sac City, IA); a brother, Bob (Joyce) from Charition, IA; brother, Gene (Pat) from Centennial, CO; sister, Sue (Gerome) Cox from Spring Hill, FL and many nieces and nephews. His passions were golf and the Dodgers baseball team and enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. He will be remembered for his wit and great sense of humor that always left everyone smile. He will be missed by all. Don died from complications of Leukemia and Multiple Myeloma. BOYETT, GERTRUDE "GAY" AGATHA 1917-2013 age 96, a resident of Peralta, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2013. She was born April 2, 1917, in Talladega, AL, the same day WWI started. Her family moved to Hollis, OK, and then to Orlando, FL, and then back to Oklahoma, while she was a child. She married Paul Boyett in Hollis, OK on February 2, 1938. On their honeymoon they moved to Fence Lake, NM where they lived until they moved to Peralta, NM in 1955. Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Boyett. She is survived by a brother, Wesley Brooks of Kansas City, KS; son, Ron Boyett and wife Becky Boyett of Peralta, NM; son, John Boyett of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Joan Kramer and husband Barry Kramer of Brigham City, UT; grandchildren, Heather Kramer, Joel Kramer, Laura Boyett Stansell, Walter Boyett, Wes Boyett, Ruth Boyett Stearley, Jacob Sanchez, and Melissa Sanchez Ackerman; and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be held at The Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, in Peralta, NM, beginning at 10:00 a.m., on October 3, with interment to follow at Fence Lake Community Cemetery in Fence Lake, NM. CORDOVA, ELIZABETH (BETTY) J. age 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 29, 2013 at home with her family at her side. Mrs. Cordova is survived by her children, Joe Cordova and wife, Yvonne, Michael Cordova and wife, Liz, Yolanda Fernandez, Yvonne Rimbert and husband, Mark; sister, Grace Andrade; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild on the way; many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Mrs. Cordova was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; daughter, Monica Cordova; niece, Angelica Rayl; and son in law, Charles Fernandez. DORATO, MADELEINE Madeleine, age 81, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 27, 2013. She is survived by her son, Chris and wife, Karen; son, Alex and wife, Kathleen; daughters, Sylvia and Veronica; her beloved grandchildren, Amber, Jeff, Shannon, Brandon, Bryce, Zachary, Tatiana, Alessandra, Serena, Sophie, Lily, Gabrielle and Skye; and her brothers and sisters. Madeleine was preceded in death by her husband Peter. Madeleine was born in France and moved to New York in 1955 to work as an au pere. She met her husband, Peter, at a church dance in New York City, and the two were married three months later. Peter and Madeleine were married for 54 years. They lived in New York, Colorado, and eventually settled in New Mexico. Madeleine was a talented seamstress. She loved to sing, and was a member of the University Chorus for over 30 years. She also sang in the chorus at the Aquinas Newman Center, where she was an active parishioner since 1976. Madeleine loved children, and was a surrogate mother and grandmother to countless numbers of children. She worked and taught French to the children at Sweetheart daycare up until she passed away. Madeleine was best known for her kind and gentle spirit. She was a friend to all she met and was known by everyone in her neighborhood. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 1, 2013, 7:00 pm at FRENCH - University, with visitation one hour prior from 6:00-7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, 10:00 am at Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd NE with entombment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. MANN, LORENA SUE Age 81, died peacefully in Houston, TX on September 26, 2013 surrounded by her three children. She was born to the late J.C. and Lou Bohannan on October 6, 1931 in Brownfield, TX. Sue graduated from Hobbs High School in 1949, received a BA in English from UNM in 1984, and a MA in Language and Rhetoric in 1988. She married the late George Krueger in 1953. She married the late Charles Mann in 1966 and they lived together in Albuquerque, NM. Sue was a member and president of Women's Association at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, member of P.E.O., member and president of SouthWest Writers, member and president of NM Route 66 Association, volunteer for Sandia Ranger Station for 18 years, and freelance writer for Albuquerque Journal and New Mexico Magazine. Sue was passionate about New Mexico, hiking, writing, reading, music, and photography. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend who loved God, family, friends, and life. Sue is survived by three children, Katherine Beckner (Greg) of Houston, TX, Susan Madigan (Mike) of Colleyville, TX and Chuck Mann of Oak Park, IL; three grandchildren, Lisa Beckner, Cory Madigan (Channing) and Chase Madigan; four siblings, Granville Bohannan (Katie), Mary Mauldin (Jim), Jerry Bohannan, Dorothy Maxwell (Dwayne) and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. RONDEAU, NORMAND (NORM) age 81, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He moved his family from Stamford, Connecticut to Albuquerque in 1954. He retired from P.N.M. He is survived by his wife Terry, three adult children; Claire Robison and husband David, Denise Rondeau and children, Glenn Rondeau and wife Cindy; six grand children; Kirt Martinez, Stephanie Martinez, Jason Martinez, Magen Burdick and husband Gerrad, Tristen Rondeau and Cody Rondeau all from Albuquerque; four brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Yvonne, brothers Ted and Herve, and granddaughter Sherie Bernadette Martinez. Norm was beloved by his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always quick with a joke! He loved singing to his grandchildren, swimming, dancing and hiking. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 4, 2013, at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Alb., NM. WILTSE, JOYCE ELEANOR Joyce Eleanor Wiltse (92) peacefully passed onto her final journey home on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Her loving survivors include daughter Jackee Lee and husband, Dallas Mickey; son Jeffrey D.; and son Jamison B. and wife, Christie Sue; grandchildren Kristiane Michelle (Tia) and husband, Chris Marquez, Monica Parks Baker, Edward Parks and wife, Mary, Aaron J.B. Wiltse, and Joshua B. Wiltse, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on March 22, 1921 and lived her childhood enjoying the glories of growing up on a farm outside of small town Nebish, Minnesota where the hardships of growing up during the depression were far outweighed by the magic of snowbound winters and childhood play. She graduated from Bemidji State Teachers college with a BA in English and soon went to work as a teacher for Bemidji High School. She withstood the loss of her first husband to the horror of World War II only to find the love of her life in her husband Leon Wiltse, married in 1952, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by all eight of her siblings and her parents Chester and Amy Dietel. Joyce and husband Leon moved to New Mexico in 1953, where she settled into home making, and raising her three children. Joyce remained committed to and active in her Beta Sigma Phi sorority throughout her life maintaining life-long friendships with all of her 'sisters.' Joyce also dedicated her life to serving the First Presbyterian Church, actively participating in the Women's organization both on a local level and a national level, accepting the service of Deacon many times over, and promoting and building Christ's love through charity. The family wishes to thank Lynne Pryor and Debbie Haugen, all of the loving caretakers at Casa Palo Duro and her caring nurses and staff at Hospice de la Luz for their love and support of Joyce over her last years. Joyce's life will be celebrated on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
