BEEMAN -- DEJUANA M. Age 49, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2012, peacefully with her family surrounding her. She is survived by her husband, Timothy R. Beeman, of Goodyear, AZ; children Ryan and wife, Cherie, of Agoura Hills, CA; daughter, Paige, attending college in Klamath Falls, OR; mother and stepfather, Lois and David McIntosh of Los Lunas, NM; father, Robert B. Butler of Boulder Creek, CA; sisters, Nikki Barry and husband, Bill, of Hampton, VA and Danielle Butler Lange, and husband, Matt, of London, UK; brothers, Bryn and wife, Marcia, of Yuma, AZ, Forrest and wife, Karen of Bailey, CO, Geoff and wife, Casey, of Santa Fe, NM; grandmother, Hazel Shoemaker of Clovis, NM; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wesley Shoemaker. DeJuana was known for her grace, strength and dry sense of humor. She was a loving, caring, generous and fun-filled person. She was devoted to her children and shared her life to the fullest with her family and dear friends. Many thanks go to the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of VistaCare Hospice in Albuquerque, NM who not only ensured that DeJuana's wishes were honored concerning her care and comfort in her last days but also provided immeasurable support to the family at an incredibly difficult time. They are truly angels on earth. The family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in DeJuana's name to local or national MS foundations or to a local Hospice Care. Arrangements were respectfully made by Gabaldon Funeral Home, Albuquerque, NM. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

CORDOVA -- BASILIA (BEA) Age 80, went peacefully home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 17, 2012 surrounded by all her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Pablo of the family home; six sons, Willie (Irene) of Colorado, Gene (Barbara) of Rio Rancho, Victor of Cuba, Herman (Julia) of Rio Rancho, Ralph (Vicki) of Arizona, and Robert of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends who love and will miss her. GARCIA -- CECILIA V. Age 60, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died on February 16, 2012. Cecilia was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. An avid runner, she loved mountain trails. She was a lover of all music, and especially her sons' band, Lost Lingo. Cecilia lived to help others, and her smile would light up a room. Her laughter was frequent and contagious. With no vices other than chocolate, green chile and gathering with loved ones, Cecilia was an example to us all. The epitome of strength, she valued family, loyalty, integrity, and hard work. As a doctor at First Choice Community Healthcare, a clinic that serves low-income community members, Cecilia was committed to building a healthy community and helping those in need. She was also a volunteer mentor with the Thresholds Project, supporting women as they reintegrate into the community after incarceration. Cecilia was preceded in death by her father William C. Garcia and brother Martin D. Garcia. She is survived by three sons, Joaquin, Miguel, and Javier Ortega; mother Viola Garcia, of Albuquerque; siblings Maria Geer and husband Rod, Michael Garcia and wife Theresa, all of Albuquerque, Stephen Garcia of Bozeman, MT, Catherine Scott and husband Dan, of Albuquerque, Imelda Frances and husband Tim, of Chicago, IL, John Garcia of Albuquerque, Jim Garcia and wife Gloria, of Denver, CO, Lara Garcia of Albuquerque, and Mark Garcia of Port Hueneme, CA. GARCIA -- JUANITA D. "TITA" Born on June 24, 1962 and died on February 10, 2012. Our beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend was called home to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 49. She was preceded in death by her brother Salavador and granddaughter Catalina. Juanita is survived by her mother Senaida Duarte; sister Diane; and brothers Martin and Lawrence Garcia; children Amanda Dimas and Reynaldo Garcia; grandchildren Lorena, Antonio, Armando, Adrian, Aaron, Lydia, Elisha, Lil Rey, Reynette, Damion, Rey Rey and Isaiah. Juanita "Tita" will always be remembered for her outspoken personality, her caring nature, and the joy she spread. She will truly be missed and thought of often.

GRANADOS -- RUDY CARL 1959 - 2012 Age 53, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Marian Granados. HEGERTY -- JOAN ELIZABETH Joan, age 72, passed away on February 19, 2012 after complications from several hip surgeries. She was born in Warren, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary Sowa Ullrich on May 30, 1939. She graduated from Warren Area High School in 1957, and then graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was a very competent and compassionate nurse. While living in Warren, she worked at Warren General Hospital and Warren State Hospital. While working in psychiatric nursing, she went back to school and completed a B.S. degree. After moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1988 she worked briefly at Anna Kaseman Hospital and then worked at Albuquerque Veterans Hospital until she retired in 2000. Joan loved to travel, enjoyed going to conferences and loved spending time near the ocean. Joan was very generous and always there to help when she was needed. Joan is survived by her son, Michael Hegerty of Albuquerque, NM and her sister Helen Ullrich, also of Albuquerque. Joan was a great woman and did a great job of raising her only son. She was always there for her parents and grandparents, while they were alive, and she was a tremendous help to her sister throughout her life. She will be greatly missed. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Warren, PA. at St. Joseph R.C. Church and interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Warren, PA. The Donald E. JOHNSON -- RONALD E. CMSGT (RET) "RADAR" Age 59, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, February 18, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson; daughters, Heather and Sarah; grandchildren, Nathan and Stacy; one brother, Erik; and three sisters, Jeanne, Ann and Sally; and his mother, Jane Johnson; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by father, Arnold; and one brother, Hugh "Cato" Williams. Chief Johnson was born in Cheyenne, WY, and relocated with his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico when he was six months old. He graduated in 1970 from West Mesa High School in Albuquerque, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and he served as an Air Guard Technician from March 1972. He was selected as the NCOIC of the Air Force Operational Resource Management (AFORMS) section in June of 1980. He was Chief of Airfield Management upon retirement. Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at East Gate Foursquare Church, 12120 Copper Ave NE, with Chaplain Gary Ortiz officiating. LOMBARDO -- NICHOLAS JOSEPH LT. COL. US ARMY, RET. Nick passed from this life on February 16, 2012. He leaves his wife, Mary; sons, Marc Lombardo and wife, Georgette, Christopher Lombardo; daughter, Lisa Tusinger, husband, Eddie and son, Joshua; brother, John Lombardo and wife, Marie; sister, Rosemary Lombardo; sister, Connie Appenheimer; and many loving nieces and nephews. Nick was proud that he was able to serve his country with 28 years of service in the military. After moving to Albuquerque in 1971, he was associated for many years with North American Van Lines. The light of Nick's life was his grandson, Joshua, who gave Nick so much pleasure and many happy times. Nick will be missed. O'NEILL -- ELIZABETH IRENE Age 86, a lifetime New Mexico resident, passed away on February 15, 2012 in Boulder, Colorado. Born in San Marcial, New Mexico on April 10, 1925. She was the daughter of Jules and Adela Grandjean. She was the youngest of nine, and survived flood, fire, and poverty before migrating from San Marcial to Albuquerque. Elizabeth graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1943, and married the love of her life, John O'Neill that Christmas Eve. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and also as a Grandjean family favorite - Aunt Liz. She loved to travel with her family and explore the National Parks in the Western U.S. as well as Canada's Banff and Jasper National Parks. She and her family attended the World's Fair in Seattle in 1960, traveled to New York and the New England states and were fortunate enough to have dined at the World Trade Center. One of her most memorable travels was to Ireland in the late 90's with her husband John and son Michael. A favorite past time was skiing with her family. She took up skiing in the 1960's, and continued for over 30 years, traveling to all the major ski areas in Colorado and New Mexico. She enjoyed working as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital for many years and also volunteered in her local voting precinct. She loved spending time sitting and chatting with family and friends sharing her many stories and special memories. Even though her immediate family meant the world to her, her Grandjean family bonds to many nieces and nephews were strong and unbreakable. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Michael O'Neill of Boulder Colorado, Patrick O'Neill and wife Tamara of Sitka, Alaska, Gregory O'Neill and wife Jill of Silverthorne, Colorado, Kelly O'Neill and wife Elaine of Sitka, Alaska; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Kevin O'Neill of Silverthorne, Colorado and Sean and Cameron O'Neill of Sitka, Alaska. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own. She was especially watched over, guarded and protected, and loved by nieces Adele Thompson, Margaret Milligan, and Valerie Moore, and nephew Marty Dykers. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Jules and Adela Grandjean; brothers, Louis, Jules, Charlie, and Frank Grandjean; sisters, Marie Dykers, Louise Zinkl, Esther Brennan and Catherine Glover. Services will be held at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Community Church on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. A burial will follow in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

STARKEY -- HELEN L. Helen was born July 22, 1932 in Albuquerque, NM and passed away February 19, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by sisters, Bertha Huff of Las Cruces, NM and Ina Dean Burnside of Lubbock, TX; sons, Lell Starkey and wife, Debbie of Lubbock, TX, David Starkey and wife, Peggy of Leon, KS and daughter, Nancy Lee and husband, Andrew of Anchorage, AK; three granddaughters, Crisanne Thompson and husband, Tim, Michelle Lawson and husband, Johnny and Tamara Starkey; one grandson, Daniel Starkey and wife Jennifer; two great-grandsons, Addison and Ian; two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Kathrine; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Barbara Starkey and Bill and Eleanor Starkey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Starkey; parents, Lell L. and Vera Burnside, and one son, Gary Starkey. She is also survived by many wonderful friends who have enriched not only her life but the lives of the entire Starkey family. Helen served as a secretary in the Albuquerque School Systems before retiring to the Cuba, NM area where she and Richard enjoyed years of mountain living. Helen also served as a Hospice volunteer serving at a local retirement center memory (Alzheimer) care unit where she loved to sing and pass out hugs. She had a love for music and began singing in her teens on a local gospel radio program continuing to share her love for Christ in her local church and retirement home up to her death. She will be remembered and missed by family many lifelong friends. Celebration services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at French - University location. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012. TRUJILLO -- DELFIDO RUDY Born March 29, 1943 in San Jose, NM. Went home to his Lord February 16, 2012. Del is survived by Marie Martinez, his companion of 20 years. Also by his ex-wife Flora Trujillo; his four sons Jesse, Joe, Gerald "Tiny" and Marvin Trujillo. Also by Marie's children Lorrie, Monica and Joe. Del has 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers David, Margarito, Blas, Ben and Leo and sisters Gloria and Josie. Del was preceded in death by his parents Jose Eliseo and Anita Vigil Trujillo; brothers Damacio and Gilbert Trujillo; and his son Michael Lovato.
