ARENAS -- DENNIS MANUEL A former resident of Farmington, NM recently went home to be with his Savior Yeshua/Jesus, on Friday, January 6, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Arenas; two sisters, Theresa Padilla and husband Jerome and Margaret Keller and husband Glen; two brothers, Patrick Arenas and wife Nona and Bill Arenas and wife Sally. He was blessed with six beautiful children from a previous marriage with Leona Krivokapich: Theresa, Damian, Katrina, Dennis Jr. and wife, Laura, Rachel, and Kristin and husband, David; 17 wonderful grandchildren; and many more family members and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Maria De la Cruz Haws; father, Paul Rudy Arenas; and two grandchildren, Austin Paul Leon Arenas and Eric Rae Arenas. His last five years he came to know his savior Yeshua the Messiah. He was a leader in the Ha Derek Ministry that brought the gospel to the four corners area. BACA -- MARCELLA Age 84, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012. She is survived by her children, Richard and Dorothy Martinez, Yolanda and Jack Jaramillo, Tino and Tracy Pargas, Louise and Roger Gachuz, Barbara Leza, and Phillip Saiz; and Leon Baca (a grandson whom she raised). She also had 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo N.E. A viewing will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 6:00pm to 7:00pm and the Rosary to follow at 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Mass will be held Thursday morning at 9:00am at Riverside Funeral Home, followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith N.E. BURTON -- SKYLER LEE Age 19, was born February 13, 1992 in Idaho Falls, ID, passed away on January 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Verl and Vera Nielson and an Uncle, DeVerl Nielson. He is survived by his parents, Nora Ann Lee and Gary Dee Burton of Grace, ID; a sister, Sierra Nicole Burton; maternal grandparents, Nelson and May Lee; paternal grandparents, Robert and Kayleen Burton. He is loved by many aunties, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Skyler graduated in 2009 from Central High School in Rexburg, ID. He was active in football and basketball and was currently working and attending CNM. Skyler grew up in Idaho where he loved to do many outdoor activities, including skateboarding and free-style biking. He has many friends and loved to meet new people. He loved to learn new ideas and challenge himself when and wherever possible. Our new Family Motto: "No Matter What, No Matter Where, Forever a Family." DODSON -- DOROTHY M. Age 62, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012. She is survived by sisters, Sharon L Arnaud of Albuquerque, NM, Rosemary L Lombardelli of Albuquerque, NM, Yvonne A (Ray Gillespie) Arnaud of Toston, MT and brother, Robert E Arnaud of Warren, OR. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Dodson, parents Ernest and Leah Arnaud and brother, Charles V. Arnaud. Dorothy worked for Furrs, Inc. for 32 years and the last eight years for the Bernalillo County Assessor's Office. Dorothy was a 30 year blood bank donor. She was a creative person and enjoyed arts, crafts and creating things with her hands. She also loved to travel and vacation in various places in the United States. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 3:30 p.m.at French Mortuary-Lomas, with Rev. David W. Slaten, officiating. Interment will take place at the family plot in Montana. DONIGAN -- IMELDA "MEL" Age 64, wife and best friend of Patrick Donigan passed away January 6, 2012. She is also survived by a son, David Galaviz; and two daughters, Denise Rogers and Deanna Sentz. Imelda was the ultimate grandmother to eight grandchildren, Justin Morin, Troy Rogers, Jake Pozun, Chris Rogers, Dominic Galaviz, Kirsten Galaviz, Keira Sentz and Madison Sentz. She is also survived by one brother, Herald Gallegos; three sisters, Dorothy Stone, Annadine Gonzalez and Benita Gallegos-Ambriz. She will also be missed by her best friend and classmate Cathy Zubia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Nina Gallegos. GALLEGOS -- ROBERT LEE Age 64, died January 3rd, 2012 in Houston, TX with his wife, daughter and friends by his side. He was born July 1947 in Springer, NM to Natividad and Frances Gallegos. He grew up in Northern New Mexico until his family moved to Albuquerque in 1957. Robert Served in the Marine Corps and attended the University of New Mexico for History and Liberal Arts. He married Kathryn White in June 1972 and worked for the State of New Mexico until his retirement with the NM State Treasurers office in 2006. Robert was an active member of Desert Springs Church where he devoted much of his time and effort. He was an avid sportsman and collector. Robert was also active in politics and was a member of the Democratic Party of NM where he served on NM State Central Committee for several years. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathryn and four children, Christina and husband, Jesus; Melissa; Samantha and fiance, Daniel; son, Tyree; six grandchildren, Saul, Jaide, Caleb, Hazel, Holly and Madison; mother, Frances and six siblings. He was preceded in death by his father and six siblings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque, NM. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11 at 10:00 am at Desert Springs Church, 705 Osuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM, Pastor Kelly officiating. A reception will be held at the church immediately following services. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM., at a later date. GATES -- LILLIE L. Age 92, went home to God on January 6, 2012. She was born in Schenectady, New York on June 20, 1919 and had lived in Albuquerque since 1967. As a young woman, Lillie worked at General Electric where she met her future husband, Albert Gates. They were married for 59 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Barry. Lillie Gates is survived by six other children, Joyce Grubbs of Ruskin, Fl., Bettie Moss and her husband David of Corona, NM, Richard Gates and his wife, Janet of Las Vegas, NV, Sherrie Simek and her husband, Rudy of Albuquerque, NM, Terrie Gruen and her husband, Mitch of Edgewood, NM, and Jeri Garcia and her husband, Mario of Albuquerque, NM. Lillie is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. ROGERS -- BETTY Age 88, resident of Albuquerque since 1961, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Betty is survived by her children, Linda Chionchio (Guy), Gayle Bryant (Butch) and Dennis Rogers (Rita); grandchildren, Guy Chionchio III, Richard Chionchio, Scott Chionchio, David Ussery, Michelle Cruz, Brady Bryant, April Hoffman and Randall Rogers; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Hackley (Judy); and many other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Archie; sister, Janet Hirz; and parents, George and Helen Hackley. She was born in Woodsfield, OH on December 27, 1923. Betty retired from Montgomery Ward and became an active line dancer and instructor at Palo Duro Senior Center. She was a member of Young at Heart Choir and Hoffmantown Church. She enjoyed singing and traveling with the choir. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother and will be extremely missed. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at French - Wyoming Chapel. Maes; Godparent, Tianna Marquez; special niece, Alydra J. Gallegos; niece, Danielle E. Gallegos; nephew, Stephen C. SHOAF -- ERNIE ROBERT Passed away on January 7, 2012, in Albuquerque, NM at 81 years. He was born in Carlton, CO on January 18, 1930, to Ernie Jacob and Leona (Thompson) Shoaf. Ernie grew up on a farm at Wiley, CO. After graduating from high school in Wiley, CO in 1948, he attended Otero JR College and graduated from Western State College. At college he met and married the love of his life, Beverly J. Dugan on June 2, 1950 at LaJunta, CO. Four children were born, Michael, Joy, Edie and Patty. Ernie taught math at many schools. He has worked for NORAD and Boeing. He loved traveling and visited all 50 states. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael; brothers, George Shoaf and his wife Marge, and Bill Shoaf; sister, Merle Kingsley and husband, Kenneth; and brother-in law, Vern Hudgins. Ernie is survived by his wife, Beverly of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Joy Emmons and Jack of Albuquerque, NM, Edie Markovic and Mark of Mesquite, TX and Patty Pieper and John of St Louis, MO; sister, Ada Hudgins of Goodyear, AZ; sister-in-law, Edna Shoaf of Pueblo, CO; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other family and friends. STEWART -- FRANCES L. LANIGAN Was born July 27, 1934 in Gallup, NM and passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM, at the age of 77. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Gerry; parents, Bill and Emily Lanigan; and by her son, Steven Conlee. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Conlee and wife Terri; daughter-in-law, Darlene Conlee; sister, Emily Leingang; stepdaughters, Valerie Fields and husband Perry, Rochelle and stepson, Frank Stewart; three grandsons; three granddaughters; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; five step granddaughters; five step grandsons; a step great-grandson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who love and will miss her. Frances was an employee of the Civerolo Law Firm for eighteen plus years. She also worked part time for American Legion Post 49 and was active in Unit 49 Auxiliary. ULIBARRI -- RODOLFO Rudy passed away on 12-17-2011. He had requested that there be no services.
