ARGENTA -- DANIELLE REYNOLDS Age 43, passed away July 28, 2011, from complications of Breast Cancer. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Albuquerque. Graduated from Highland High School with a 4.0 in 1986. Was a member of the Highlanders Drill Team and homecoming court, and was awarded a Presidential Scholarship to UNM. She was a lifetime Society member of Chi Omega, where she served as treasurer and on the House Corporation Board. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Danielle excelled as a microbiologist. In addition to her career, Dani and her husband established The Lawn Rangers, Inc., Desert View Custom Homes and Silver Legacy. Danielle was preceded in death by her grandparents Boss and Millie Reynolds and Alvin and Alma Kunath. She is survived by her husband, Marcus of sixteen years; daughters, Kiana, Kayla, and Sierra; parents, Chuck and Jann Reynolds; sisters, Deborah, Diana Irwin, and Desiree Flanagan; niece Jessica Irwin; nephews, Jordan and Justin Flanagan; aunts Mitzi Andermann and husband Robert, Joan Ridout and many other family and friends. COCKE -- INEZ R. Age 91, passed away July 24, 2011. She was born January 30, 1920 in Humbolt County, Nebraska. Inez Cocke was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Fredrick Rist and Ester Angelina Maxwell and her first husband, John H. Barber. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, William J. "Jim" Cocke; two sons, John H. Barber, Jr. and James R. Barber; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Alice Langford. DOUGHERTY -- PATRICK JOSEPH A life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away at University of New Mexico Hospital on July 27, 2011, after a tragic accident. He was born in Albuquerque on March 16, 1954 and was the fourth of five children born to Cleo A. Dougherty and Ann M. Dougherty. He was known as Uncle Pat to family and friends. Patrick graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1972 and attended the University of New Mexico. He worked as a conductor-brakeman for the BNSF Railroad for seventeen years. He lived his life with love for family and friends and much, much laughter. He was known for his heart of gold. Patrick is survived by his brothers, Dennis, of East Stroudsburg, PA, Richard, of Panorama City, CA, and Charles, of Thoreau, NM; sister, Diane Ganzerla, of Albuquerque; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and his special friend, Faith Basaillon. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on July 31, 2011, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on August 1, 2011, at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque. GARDNER -- FAYE E. Age 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She was born in Cimarron County, Oklahoma on April 14, 1918. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Gardner, in 1986; her son, Homer J. Gardner; and her grandson, David K. Getz. Faye is survived by her son, Fred Gardner (June) of Albuquerque; daughters, Peggy Ward (Kent) of Prescott, Arizona; Kathy Getz (Dewey) of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Diane Gardner of Salt Lake City; her brother, Gordon Folkers (Mary) of Boise City, Oklahoma. Also surviving her are twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by the "children of her heart," Patty Evans, Linda Zemke and Roxanne Chandler. Faye was a resident of Albuquerque for fifty three years. She was also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faye was an extraordinary mother and grandmother who left a legacy of love to her posterity. She was a constant example of integrity, high standards and steadfast faith. She sought for excellence with every task or responsibility, yet without pretense or personal vanity. Her life was spent in devoted service to family, church, and community. A skilled homemaker, Faye had a gift for organization, preparedness, thrift and self-reliance, which continued throughout twenty five years of widowhood. She was a life-long learner, author, poet, and unsurpassed letter-writer. Her passion was family history and genealogical research. She was an expert hand-quilter who designed her own unique creations. Always generous with her means, she also opened her heart and home to those in need. As Faye met people from all walks of life, each one became a dear friend. We were blessed to have her in our lives. We will miss her so much, yet we rejoice that she has returned to her heavenly home. A private graveside service will be held Monday, August 1, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. A public memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4109 Eubank, NE, in Albuquerque. MAURER -- LORRIE G. 1941-2011 Age 70, a life-long resident of Los Lunas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 25, 2011 unexpectedly at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Alejandro "Alex" and Manuela "Mela" Tafoya Gonzales. She was the oldest of six children. In 1957 she met Mike J. Baca of Belen and in 1959 they had their daughter Kathy, although Mike passed away prior to her birth. Lorrie then met John Maurer and married on August 5, 1967, this August they would have been married 44 wonderful years. Lorrie was very active and a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. She and John were responsible for growing the St. Vincent de Paul Society into what it is today. The society has helped many families throughout Valencia County. This led to her receiving the St. Francis de Assisi award presented to her by the most Reverend Michael Sheehan last October in Santa Fe. Lorrie was so proud of this award. She worked throughout Valencia County most of her life and retired 6 years ago from the Village of Los Lunas working primarily at the Municipal Court where she was a court clerk/alternate judge. She spent her last four years at the Los Lunas Public Library. Lorrie touched many lives throughout Valencia County. Anybody she ever met may have come to her door as a stranger, but always left as a friend. She was preceded in death by Mike J. Baca; parents, Aljandro "Alex and Manuela "Mela" Tafoya Gonzales; in-laws, Jose Ynez Baca and Josefita Trujillo Baca and Gertrude and Henry Pagenkopf; brother, Frank Gonzales and wife, Geri; best friend, Ida Castillo of Hesperia, CA; a special cousin, Mary Garcia. Lorrie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John F. Maurer; daughter, Kathy Perea; son-in-law, Johnny Perea; grandchildren, Jon Michael Perea and wife, Christina and Nicole Perea and partner, Antonio Garcia; two great-grandchildren, Karina Salazar and Adrian Garcia; siblings, Pauline Peralta and husband, Eddie of Los Chavez, Eddie Gonzales and wife, Rosie of Los Lunas, Mabel Connelly and husband, Steve of Phoenix, AZ, Joe Gonzales and wife, Jeannie of Los Lunas, and Estella Chavez and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Maria Gonzales of Valencia; brothers-in-law, Hilario and Sylvestre Baca of Belen; god-son, Eli Gonzales and wife, Barbara of Los Lunas and god-daughter, Carmela Tafoya of Hawaii. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All services will be held at the San Clemente Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2011, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the San Clemente Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eli Gonzales, Frank "Sonny" Gonzales, Chris Peralta, Anthony Chavea, Johnny Perea and Joe Griego. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jon Michael Perea, Antonio Garcia, Joseph Gonzales, Eddie "Gino" Gonzales, Philip Peralta, Morris Chavez, Patrick Baca and all the members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. MILLER -- HAYDOCK H. Jr. Died on July 22, 2011, of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Cruse Miller, who passed on in November 2005. His son, Roy Bantz Miller lives in Farmington, NM. His two daughters both live in Spokane, WA. Daughter, Jacquelyn Miller Dibble-Robinson who lives with husband, Michael G. Robinson, and daughter, Carolyn Cruse Miller. The Robinsons have two daughters, Charnay D. Robinson and Angelique M. Robinson. His brother, Dr. Edward T. Miller, a famous geo-physicist, and his sister, Doris E. Miller, both pre-deceased him. Haydock graduated from the Englewood School for Boys in May 1943 and was drafted into the Army on August 1st. He was selected to attend OCS at the Engineers School at Ft. Belvoir, VA., from which he graduated in Oct. 1944 as a 2nd. Lt. He was assigned to the 220th Armored Engineers Bt. of the 20th Armored Div., which was preparing to ship to Europe. They landed at Rouen, France on Jan. 1st 1945. After being assigned as back-up troops for the Battle of the Bulge, they headed towards Munich, Germany. Haydock was one of the first to enter Dachau Concentration Camp. There was heavy fighting on northeast side of Munich where the Headquarters of SS Troops was located. After cession of hostilities, 1st Lt. Miller received his discharge from active duty and immediately started his classes in the Engineering School at Yale Univ. on July 1st, 1946. He and Nancy Cruse were married on November 15, 1946. He graduated with a Mechanical Engineers degree in May 1949. Miller joined Alcoa on August 1st and started work at the Edgewater Plant on the Hudson River in New Jersey, where he rose to Foil Plant Superintendent. In 1967, Miller was transferred to the New Kensington, PA. Operation and ran the Foil Plant there. In 1971 Haydock transferred to the Tennessee Operations as Manager of both Foil and Alcoa Wrap Plants. In 1976 the Millers were sent to Barking England for a year to help in getting the plant there running on a profitable basis, which he did in less than the allowed time. He then returned home to the Pittsburgh, PA office. After various assignments he rose to Manager of Organization Analysis. He took early retirement on January 1st, 1983, after 33 years with Alcoa. Since then he and Nancy moved to Santa Fe. Haydock has been active with several start-ups. He was a member of many service organizations. Haydock was a Charter Member of the S.F. del Sur ROTARY Club in 1984, and has been very active with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and Camp RYLA. He will be greatly missed by his granddaughters and their parents, the visits by Poppy and Mor-Mor (their names for the grandparents) and the wonderful trips skiing and sight-seeing gave much depth, education and enjoyment to Haydock's extended family. He was always willing to share his experience, strength and hope with everyone he met and willing to put his muscles to work, as well as his mind, to help those in need. Thank you, Poppy. There will not be a funeral, but you can pay your respects at the Veteran's Cemetery in Santa Fe, where he is honored beside his wife, Nancy.

SAVAGE -- JOSETTE MARIE Passed away Monday, July 18, 2011. Josette is survived by her husband, Ron, of forty-two years. She was born in Albuquerque on January 28, 1939. Josette attended St. Mary's, Albuquerque High and the University of New Mexico. She worked for Albuquerque National Bank/Sunwest Bank for thirty two years as a computer programer. Josette was part of the programing staff that installed the first computer for the bank in the 1960's, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, knitting and traveling in her motor home. STRAND -- JESSE Age 88, a resident of Bernalillo since 1975, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Jesse is survived by his children, Linda (Mel) Swaim, Lorrain (Jim) Lappin, Robert (Carla) Strand and David (Sherri) Strand; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta in 2004. Jesse served in the United States Air Force doing aerial photography. He was a geologist most of his life, as well as a carpenter, and was known for his love of the Lord, Christian ministry, and leading singing during worship. Jesse and Roberta held bible studies and led singing at Rio Rancho Nursing Home for 15 years. He had a love for photography and creating pictures with many types of media.
