ARAGON -- Raul Bernardo Aragon, 35, a resident of Algodones, NM met our Lord on Friday, April 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Marisol Aragon; three beautiful children, Ariana, Gabriela and Raul Aragon; parents, Bernardo and Lucy Aragon; sister, Connie and husband Freddy, sister Louise and husband Leonard, brother Alex and wife Vicky. He has 16 nieces and nephews, one great nephew and many loving family and friends. Raul was born in Albuquerque, NM on September 3, 1975. He married his high school sweetheart in 1999 and formed a beautiful life. He was devoted to his family, faith and community and demonstrated it every day by being a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and a really hard worker. He was the mayordomo of San Jose Mission in Algodones where his biggest joy was greeting everyone who came to celebrate mass. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Algodones Cemetery. CORDOVA -- Pedro A. Cordova, 85, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2011. His loving wife, Mary A. Cordova, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Pete R. Cordova, daughter Rosalie Savedra and husband, Joe, daughter Beverly Baca, son Mike Cordova, and daughter Rita Chavez and fiance, Steve Mendoza; grandchildren Lisa, Michael, Toby, Alicia, Carlos, Vinnie, Raymond, and Clovis; and great-grandchildren Xavier, Kyle, and Breanna. Pedro worked for many years in civil service as an Aircraft Fueler at Kirtland Air Force Base, but he is most known for his years of dedicated service to the U.S. Army and later the Military Order of the Purple Heart. While serving in World War II, Pedro was decorated for his service with the 45th Infantry Division at the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. His post-war service includes membership with the D.A.V., Post 100 and the Military Order of the Purple Heart - Chapter 1966. During his tenure with the MOPH, he held nearly every office available including: Chapter Commander, Senior Vice Commander, and Department Junior Vice Commander. Pedro was a loving husband and faithful civil servant. He is beloved by his family and known to almost everyone as Grandpa. He will be missed dearly. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos Road NW. Mass will be held Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 also at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial will occur on Thursday at 1:30 at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Joe, Michael and Toby Savedra; Carlos Chavez, Steve and Vinnie Mendoza. FRANCIA -- Augustina Francia, 68, a life-long resident of the Albuquerque area, died Friday, April 15, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ernest Francia; children, Tim Francia, and fiancee Jessica Houlton, Danny Francia and wife, Catrina,and Anthony Francia and Wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Sabrina, Melissa, Ray, AJ, Danielle, Jennelle, Lawrence, Reann, Jennessa, David and Jennica; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nezae, and Zeniah; brothers, Orlando Jaramillo and wife, Gloria, Joe Jaramillo and wife, Sally, Edwin Jaramillo, Gilbert Jaramillo and Paul Jaramillo and wife, Imogene; sisters, Irene Lopez and husband, Mike, Cathy Jaramillo and husband, Danny, and Barbara Jaramillo; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Augustina was preceded in death by her son, Frank Francia; father, Bences Jaramillo; mother, Cecilia Garcia, and her brother Elias Jaramillo. She was born on July 24, 1942 in Carnuel, NM and married Pastor Ernest Francia in 1958. She served as a Minister with her husband at The International All Faith Center, fed the homeless, and sang to the elderly at Princeton Place. Augustina and Ernest traveled extensively in other states, evangelizing to others. She loved God and was a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, and spiritual sister to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at French ~ University Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 2:00 p.m, Pastor Eugene Tafoya officiating. JARAMILLO -- Elizabeth A. Jaramillo went to meet our Lord on April 14, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Juanita and Solomon Garcia. She is survived by her husband Ramon Jaramillo; children, Christina A. JOHNSON -- Theresa G. Johnson, 84, passed to eternal rest peacefully and quietly on April 9th at the La Vida Llena Retirement Community in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Northampton, Massachusetts on October 9, 1926 the daughter of Polish immigrant parents Amelia and Joseph Guzowski. Theresa was educated in Northampton schools where she was a star basketball player. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Vermont and her graduate education at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology where she was awarded the degree of Master of Science Teaching. Following a brief career as a mathematician in the Engineering Department at General Electric, Theresa became a dedicated science and mathematics teacher. She taught in Proctor, Vermont; El Paso, Texas; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her teaching awards include New Mexico Science Teacher of the Year, Albuquerque Public Schools Science Teacher of the Year and New Mexico Outstanding Earth Science Teacher. Throughout her teaching years she was very active in promoting and assisting students with science fair projects for which she received numerous awards in recognition of her work. In 1951 she married her husband, Norman, at Fort Benning, Georgia becoming a devoted Army wife during his 20 year military career. During the summer of 1949 she toured the country in a 1934 Plymouth investigating numerous places of interest from Massachusetts to California. Theresa enthusiastically enjoyed life. After retirement she became an award winning watercolor artist creating more than 200 paintings. Much of her retired life was devoted to numerous volunteer activities including the Animal Humane Association, Kirtland Air Force Base Thrift Shop and the New Mexico Regional Science Fair. Theresa is survived by her husband of 60 years, Norman G. Johnson of Albuquerque; daughters Dr. JoAnne Allen and her husband James Brainard of Albuquerque, NM, Nancy Bilderbeck and her husband Mitchell of London, England, and son Barry Johnson and his wife Margaret of Albuquerque, NM, nephews Richard, Robert and Bruce Guzowski, and grandchildren Lawrence Allen, Dr. Amy Bilderbeck and Dr. Raymond Bilderbeck. Theresa was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Victor Guzowski. Internment has been held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating Theresa's life will be held Tuesday, April 19th, 10am at the La Vida Llena Retirement Community, 10501 Lagrima de Oro Rd, NE, Albuquerque, NM. MARTINEZ -- Marlene Monique Martinez, 36, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 15, 2011. MORGAN -- Donald Wayne Morgan, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011. He was born on Curtis Creek, N.C. to the late Dedrick and Crystal Morgan. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn. Don served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959. He began racing modified race cars at Speedway Park in 1959 and enjoyed it for several years. Don opened Imported Auto Parts, Inc. in 1971 and at one time owned five stores. He received a BS in Business from the University of Albuquerque and graduated Cum Laude. Don completed the MBA program at Highlands University and was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University of Albuquerque from 1980-1982. He held commercial, instrument, instructor and multi-engine pilot's licenses and a commercial helicopter license. Until his death he was owner and President of Morgan Real Estate Development and Construction, Inc. Don was very instrumental in the development of The Sandia Science and Technology Park as well as developing the Quail Ridge neighborhood in the Northeast Heights. He enjoyed caring for animals, working with art, riding motorcycles, working outdoors, and many other activities. Don was a loving husband and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. SIEBOLDT -- Herman L. Sieboldt, age 85, passed away on April 14, 2011. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Bauer and husband, Victor of Russia; one grandson, Brian and wife, Mary of Virginia; one brother, Kenneth and his wife, Rena of California; one sister, Genevieve Major of Oregon and his sister-in-law, Maxine Seymour of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by Helen, his wife of 50 years. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a power plant operator for PNM in Albuquerque. TALAMANTES -- Carmen Talamantes, age 80, passed away peacefully April 15, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Dolores Lolis Talamantes. She is survived by her five children, Juan Talamantes and wife Rose, Araceli Talamantes-McDowell and husband Winston, Arturo Talamantes and wife Loretta, Paul Talamantes and wife Serena, and Yvette Gomez and husband Juan. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and also many loving nephews, nieces, and numerous family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all friends and family. WOMACK -- Jeanne Crowe Womack, passed away at age 79 in the early morning of April 16, surrounded by her children and in the arms of her beloved. "Jeannie" as she was known was born November 24, 1931 in Las Animas, Colorado, the only child of Donald and Helen Crowe. She was raised in Lamar and enjoyed a glorious youth. Jeannie was a cheerleader for her high school, a champion barrel racer and was crowned the first Miss Southeast Colorado Rodeo Queen. She also loved working the soda counter at her fathers drug store, The Corner Pharmacy. Jeannie met the love of her life, James E. Womack, while a student at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1949. They married in 1953, the same day James became a commissioned officer in the USAF and earned his pilot wings. James and Jeannie spent the first two years of their marriage at Chitosi Airbase, Japan. After returning to the U.S., they settled in Albuquerque where James attended law school, built a practice, and the two of them populated the state with four more republicans! Jeannie held down the fort when her husband was deployed as a fighter pilot to Vietnam, and she always displayed the American Flag proudly. She was a true patriot who unconditionally supported our veterans and troops and was very proud of James, who retired at the rank of Brigidier General as Chief of Staff of the New Mexico National Guard. Jeannie was preceded in death by her beloved son, James E. Wommack II, who died at the age of 30 in 1987. She is survived by her sweetheart, James; her daughter Julie and husband, Lt Col Lavell Brown III (Ret, USAF), their daughters, Katie and Carolyn; her daughter Jenifer and husband, Major Mark Jannakos (Ret, NMANG), their children Stephen, Michael, Matthew, and Margaret; and her son Lt Col Jordan Wommack (Ret, USAF) and wife, Debbie, and their children, Stacey and Trevor. Jeannie loved researching family history and geneology, making baby blankets for friends, and collecting antiques. She was an avid football fan, a lifelong member of the Friends of the Albuquerque Public Library and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jeannie will be missed by all whose lives were positively influenced by her kind and gentle nature. She was a selfless, beautiful person and her generosity was only matched by her unconditional love. Friends may pay their respects at French Mortuary - Lomas location on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 5-7 pm. Services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas location. Private burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. ZANGARA -- Jerome "Jerry" Zangara, 78, of Albuquerque died Friday, April 15, 2011. He was born to the late Salvatore and Eleanor Zangara. He was an Air Force veteran and was involved with law enforcement most of his life. He was a Chavez County Deputy Sheriff and a Lieutenant with the Roswell Police Department. Later, he was an instructor with the Federal Police Academy in Roswell and ended 12 years of service with the NM Parole Board in 2010. He was also an avid gun collector and marksman. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille Zangara. Survivors include his sons, Kenneth B. Zangara and wife, Kathy of Albuquerque, Kevin A. Zangara and wife, Alice of Taos, Danny Zangara of Roswell and James Zangara and partner, Toby Hamilton of Hollywood, CA; brother, Gino Zangara and wife, Vicky of Dallas, TX; sister, Geri Basilotto and husband, Paul of FL. He will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, many special friends and his German Shepherd, Duchess.
