SILVERI -- Italo "Rocky" Giuseppe Silveri, 88, made his transition on June 28, 2010. Rocky, born and raised in NH, served in WWII and the Korean Conflict and retired honorably from the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, he worked for UNM and the US government. A voracious reader and self-educator, there was little Rocky could not discuss, fix, or create. He outfitted a van and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. His love of nature and his country were second only to his love of family. Rocky is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Laura, Janis, and JoAnn; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brothers, Dante and Marco; and his best friend, Jim Nichol. Rocky requested not to have a memorial service. However, the next time you see a Hummingbird or Robin, or hear a Bobwhite or Cardinal, please remember Rocky--he will be there with you.
