SCHWANK -- Vicki Schwank, 62, a resident of Albuquerque for two years and a former resident of Chino Hills, CA, passed away Thursday evening, May 13, 2010. She is survived by her brother, Jim Schwank and his wife, Lucy of Albuquerque; her beloved nephew, Jimmy Schwank and his wife, Sandy; her step-nephews, Paul Tabor, John Tabor, Moses Jhai and Charles Tabor and their families. Jimmy, Sandy, John and his wife Sherri were particularly close to their Aunti Vicki. Ms. Schwank was a graduate of UCLA. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Vicki was the office manager and part-owner of EuroFab, a company that imported fabric from around the world. A service will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at French - Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. TEMPLETON -- Roger Wolcott Templeton Sr. We are honored to celebrate the life of Roger Wolcott Templeton Sr., age 83, who passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Boise, Idaho on June 8, 1926 to Earl and Sibyl Templeton. He was preceded in death by his mother; and father; brothers John and Lorenzo; a sister Mary Katherine; and an infant daughter. He is survived by Evelyn, his beloved wife of 59 years; his children Deborra and her husband David Hale of Tucumcari NM, Roger Jr. and his wife Sandra of Albuquerque NM, Robert and his wife Patricia, and John and his wife Stacey all of Rio Rancho, NM; He has 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Roger served in the United States Marine Corp. in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a graduate of Boise Junior College and Washington State College with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Roger and Evelyn were married on December 24, 1950 in Lewiston, ID. In 1959 they moved to Albuquerque where Roger worked for Duke City Lumber Company until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of St, Johns Episcopal Cathedral, and Idaho Lodge No. 1 AF&AM. He was also and active member of Ballut Abyad Shrine, where he served on the Azayim committee and the Director's Staff. A private memorial service is planned for a later date at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral. ULIVARRI -- Leonor Ulivarri, age 84, a resident of Pueblitos, NM, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010, in Las Cruces, NM where she lived for the past two years. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Leonor was a long time bookkeeper for H. Caldwell Motor Company. She was a housewife to her late husband, Narciso N. Ulivarri and a devoted mother to 14 children; as well as 43 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Epitacio and Victoriana Baca; four sons, Eugene in 1958, Michael in 1959, Narciso Ulivarri, Jr. and David Lorenzo Ulivarri in 1990; daughter, Martha Dent in 1991; grandson, Orlando Gutierrez, Jr. in 1977; sister, Antonia Aragon; two year old brother, Lawrence and an infant brother. Leonor is survived by four daughters, Dolores Gutierrez and husband, Orlando of Belen, NM, Theresa Berni and husband, William of Los Lunas, NM, Paula Gabaldon and husband, Anthony of Pueblitos and Sharon Olguin and husband, Vincent of Albuquerque, NM; five sons, Arthur Ulivarri, Daniel Ulivarri and Joe Leo Ulivarri all of Pueblitos, Norbert Ulivarri and wife, Judy of Roswell, NM and Rafael Ulivarri and wife, Carmen of Las Cruces; sister, Florinda Gallegos and husband, Tom of Los Lunas; three brothers-in-law, Louie Aragon and Gilbert Ulivarri of Belen and Rafael Ulivarri and wife, Vivian of Barstow, CA and two sisters-in-law, Christina and Reina Ulivarri of Riverside, CA. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and family members. A viewing was held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary recited by Deacon Felix Barela at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Frances Bijoy presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. VIGIL -- Alex Vigil passed away peacefully on May 14, 2010 at the age of eighty six. He was born on February 8, 1924 near Espanola to Bernadita and Agustin Vigil. As a young man he attended the Albuquerque Business College, where he met his wife of 18 years Viola B. Vigil. Alex was a public servant for the State of New Mexico working for the Department of Labor, where he began as an Investigator /Auditor and retired as Division Director. His career moved him and his family to Taos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where he eventually retired in 1982. Alex spent his retirement ranching on the land where he grew up, Los Rechuelos near Abiqui, and enjoying time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola; parents Agustin and Bernadita Vigil; brothers Arsenio, Eddie and Willy Vigil; and sister, Elvira Karcher. He is survived by his brother Fred Vigil and wife Corrine; sister Laura Caffey and husband Thurlow; brother Lupe Vigil and wife Theresa. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Ernest Barela and Wilfred Barela, sisters-in-law Erlinda Barela, Viola Barela, Lucy Vigil and Ruth Vigil; his son, Michael A. Vigil and his wife Teri Lynn of Little Valley, California; daughters Marie A. Merryman of Albuquerque, Barbara J. Vigil of Santa Fe, Loretta E. Valencia and husband Harold of Santa Fe, Margaret L. Lucero and husband Frank of Albuquerque and Lisa C. Vigil of Albuquerque. He is also survived by all of his loving grandchildren Alex, Jessica, Emilia and Justin Vigil, Jenica Merryman, Phillip and Marcus Valencia, Robert, Jeffrey and Joseph Lucero. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many friends. His unique sense of humor and stories will be missed by many. All services will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visitations will be Monday, May 17, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary. Service of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, at Wyoming and Paseo del Norte NE. WINN -- Rhea Geraldine (Gerry) Winn, 80, wife of Alma R. Winn passed away at home in the presence of her loving family on May 13, 2010. She was born April 28, 1930 in Goshen, Utah to Samuel D. and Genevieve White. Gerry graduated with honors in 1948 from Payson High School in Utah where she won awards for her lovely singing voice. Many people were blessed by her vocal talent throughout her lifetime. Gerry married Alma in the Manti Temple in Utah in Aug 1950. She has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints sharing her talents of music, teaching and service throughout her life. Gerry also served for six years as an ordinance worker in the Albuquerque Temple. In addition, her professional career consisted of various positions including legal secretary, personal secretary and transcriptionist for court reporters and she was highly respected for her abilities. Mrs. Winn won many ribbons at the NM State Fair for her hand-made dolls which she loved to pass on to her daughters and grandchildren. She was also an accomplished seamstress. Her greatest love in life was for her family and she is known for her great compassion for others. Gerry will be greatly missed by all. She leaves behind her loving family, husband of 60 years Alma; children Debbie Packer, Robert Winn, Wendy Redic, Jeff Winn & Danny Winn, their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
