ANDERSON -- Rosemarie "Oma" Anderson age 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Oma loved her family very deeply, in her home a warm meal would be waiting for anyone who visited. ANGEL -- Procopio "Copes" F. Angel, 92, of Kyle, TX and formerly of Los Lunas, NM, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. He was born August 20, 1917 to the late Albert and Altagracia Angel. Precopio proudly serverd with the Army Air Corps for 5 years duirng World War II with the 17th bomb group. He is survived by his son, Ferman Angel and his wife, Patricia of Los Lunas, NM; daughter, Louise Ann Henderson and her husband, Herschel, of Kyle, TX; grandchildren, George Archuleta and wife, Olga, Angela Angel, Jonathan Medina-Hererra and wife, Rachelle, all of Austin, TX, Brian Angel, Robbie Angel, Christina Jolly and her husband, Josh and Jennifer West and her husband, Jason, all of Los Lunas, NM; and 11 great-grandchildren. Copes is also survived by his cousin, Albert "Pete" Angel who was like a brother to him. Procopio was preceded in death by his wife, Fidencia "Faye" Angel and his grandson, Tony Kris Angel. ARAGON -- Pauline S. Aragon, 74, resident of Santa Fe, NM, peacefully joined our Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Erlinda Sandoval; her son, David Aragon; and in-laws, Joe V. Aragon and Oli Sanchez. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Rafael Aragon Jr.; sons Leroy and wife, Grace, Michael and wife, Sylvia, Ralph and wife, Anna, Peter and wife, Carmela; daughter-in-law, Rose; her sister, Marcela Sandoval and John Serino and family; brother, Dennis Sandoval and wife, Paula LeSueur and family; her brother, Leo and wife, Sharon Sandoval and family; in-laws, Beatrice Sais, Lucy Wortman, Bob Arias, Fidel and wife, Sylvia Aragon, Aurelia Aragon of Los Lunas Pat and wife, Jo Ann Aragon from Santa Fe, Tony Sanchez of Belen; grandchildren, Carlos, Miguel, Ricardo, Joslynn Aragon de Herrera and husband, Nic, Antonio, Miriam, Erin, Alicia, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Emma, Mateo and Vincent. BRIDGEWATER -- Dee and Lee Bridgewater went home to be with our Lord and savior on January 3, 2010 in Mesquite, TX. Dee preceded Lee in death by 20 minutes. Married for over 63 years and residents of Albuquerque for over 28 years. Lee was an employee of New Mexico Gas company for 18 years, where he retired. Dee was a licensed beautician in Texas for many years and loved gardening and canning foods. Dee and Lee were preceded in death by Lee's sister, Alta Dagate of Dallas; Dee's sister, Winnie Fae Welch of Freeport,TX; and their only son, Ronald Bridgewater of Garland. They are survived by many brothers; and sisters of Dee; daughter-in-law, Frances Bridgewater; and grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Bridgewater. May we remember them until we see them both in Heaven.

BROWN -- Mickey Brown, 82, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charlie Brown; her sons Michael and wife Kim of Florida and Chris and wife Carolyn of Nashville; one granddaughter, Shelby of Florida; and her sweet little dog, Precious Pup. Mickey was born in Stockton, CA to Alberto and Elvira Michelotti. She later moved to Sacramento, where she met and married Charlie. With Charlie in the US Air Force and stationed in many different cities, Mickey was an avid volunteer at each base. Some of her activities included Family Services, Thrift Shop management and greeting "new arrivals" with transition services. After Charlie's retirement in 1974, Mickey and her family settled in Albuquerque, where she was involved in YAFL Football, as well as Thunderbird Little League Baseball, holding every board position and serving as president for many years. Mickey had a paper route for the Albuquerque Journal seven days a week for 27 years that she took over from her son, Chris, rarely missing a day up to the morning she died. She had unlimited energy, and an avid curiosity about everything new. Mickey lived a very full, active and happy life, successfully avoiding doctors. Instead, she relied mostly on the healing powers of the body. Friends may visit on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at French-Wyoming Chapel. A Celebration of Mickey's life will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010, 12:00 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CLOSSER -- William H. "Bill" Closser, 76, a resident of Placitas, NM passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty; seven children, William H. Closser Jr. and wife Diane of Knoxville, TN, Jo Anna Closser of Quakertown, PA, Bayard Closser and wife, Susan of Cincinnati, OH, John Closser and wife, Cheri of Columbus, OH, Brian Davis of Tracy, CA, Stephanie Kaplan and husband, Howard of Cincinnati, OH, and Darren Ferguson of Sonora, CA; ten grandchildren, Mitchell, Cole, Anna, Hannah, Sarah, Sydney, Will, Macie, Logann, and Rylee; one sister, Sara Natali of FL; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Donald. He was born on August 28, 1933 in Waynesburg, PA to Harold Thompson and Catherine Hoge Closser and graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1951. Bill then served in the United States Navy for "three years, twenty four days, and eleven hours, but who was counting." He went on to attend and graduate from West Virginia University where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Later, he attended the University of New Mexico for his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Bill then obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University. He had an extraordinary 43 year career in the semi-conductor industry which began at Sandia Labs and after several years in OH and CA, ended in Albuquerque with Sumitomo Sitix, (SUMCO) where he retired in 2000. "He was a real pioneer in the industry and a true silicon man." Bill was a member of Las Placitas Presbyterian Church. He always felt it was important to give back to your community. He and Betty loved traveling and fishing from Alaska to Mexico and California to the Eastern Seaboard. His family, both close and extended, had a very close connection to him. Bill was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren who had a very special place in his heart. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Las Placitas Presbyterian Church, 7 Paseo De San Antonio Road, Placitas, NM with Pastor Elizabeth Lyman officiating. CUELLAR -- Katherine Y. Cuellar, 93, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2010 at the age of 93, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tularosa, New Mexico, November 30, 1916, daughter of Juanita D. Young and Pete Young. Katherine was employed by the Chiordi family for most of her working life. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tillie Greigo. Katherine leaves behind her sister, Flora Baca (Ralph). She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Meyer-Gebelin, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Evelyn Colarelli, of Lafayette, Louisiana, Tomas Garcia, of Thousand Oaks, California, Barbara Layton (Bob), of Chino, California, Lorraine Johnson, of Camarillo, California, Rosemary Maldonado (Tony), of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and beloved numerous relatives and friends. EAGLIN -- Isabel Marie Eaglin was such a loved person, she was such a bright spot for so many people. She had an unlimited supply of friends and family that just adored her. Her family, husband Jim, children, Debi, Sandi and husband James Cooke and son Michael, Donna and husband Brad and girlies Payton and Sidney, James and wife Natalie. FRANKE -- Paul Richard Franke, Jr. passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Mancos, CO to Paul R. and Elizabeth P. Franke and grew up in Mesa Verde National Park. He served as a bomber pilot in WWII and spent time in the Air Force Reserves. After graduation with a degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado University, he married Lois Elizabeth Gerber in 1948. He worked as an engineer on the Colorado-Big Thompson Trans Mountain Water Diversion project. He, Lois and baby daughter, Candace, then moved to Santa Fe where he worked briefly with the National Park Service before going to work at Los Alamos National Laboratories. A daughter, Emily, and also son Paul R. Franke, III were born in Santa Fe. At Los Alamos he worked on the Meson Physics Facility and the Hot Dry Rock Geothermal Energy Program. After retiring, he and Lois traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. He was a recognized master dry fly fisherman and a recognized amateur archaeologist working on digs with the renowned archaeologists Earl Morris and Charlie Steen. He also volunteered for the Friends of the College of Santa Fe Library. He was a long time member of Holy Faith Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Trevathan. Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois; daughter, Candace Gillis and husband, John, daughter, Emily Laskowski and husband, Jack; son, Paul R. Franke III and wife, Cindy; two granddaughters, Abbey and Maddie Franke; brother-in-law, Earl Trevathan, sister, Mareli Elizabeth Eckberg and husband, Myron; and numerous nieces and nephews. FREDETTE -- Louise M. Fredette, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 with her loving son, Jim by her side. Louise was born October 13, 1930 in Gardner, MA to Dominique J. Cormier and Alice M. Girouard. She was married to Raymond O. Fredette for 59 years until his death in 2005. She was a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 2003 and an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. MCKINNEY -- Thomas William "Bill" McKinney died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the age of 87 in his home in Albuquerque NM, with family and friends present. He was born December 4, 1922 in Agua Fria, NM. The youngest of three, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bud" McKinney; and sister, Lillian "Sis" Kraus. He is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Mary Nell McKinney; sons, Jeff McKinney and his wife Cathy; Thomas W. McKinney and his wife Gail; Mark McKinney; Patrick McKinney and his wife Valerie; grandchildren Jessica McKinney; Travis McKinney; Elizabeth Nunez and her husband Francisco; TJ McKinney; Alexandra McKinney; Luke McKinney; and great-grandchild, Sebastian Nunez. Bill managed the historic Kimo Theater in downtown for several years and was a veteran of the US Army. He spent nine years with the NM Department of Game & Fish as a reserve conservation officer as well as having a long and distinguished career at Sandia National Laboratories, retiring in 1985. Bill especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and writing. He was blessed with countless friends, some who've preceded him in death as well as some who now are left here, missing him. No service is planned; there will be a small, private gathering where the family will celebrate Bill's life. PATTON -- William (Bill) Alexander Patton, 76, passed away January 28, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bill was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina on June 13, 1933 to Ralph and Lillian Patton. Bill proudly served his country and retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine; four daughters: Carol Ann Sexton and husband Richard of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Theresa Christine Vasquez in Peoria, Arizona, Pamela Jean Bridges and husband John in Sanger, Texas and Patricia Lee McCormick and husband Tim in Tyler, Texas; one son, William Alexander Patton and wife Catherine in Jacksonville, Florida; five sisters: Barbara Harrison and husband Dewy of Sebring, Florida, Francis Hudson in National City, Michigan, Joyce Kennedy in White Lake, Michigan and Martha Lewis of Clarkston, Michigan. Bill is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and by a very loving extended family. REEVES -- Donald Everett Reeves, 88, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in WWII. He was a strong Christian Man who loved the Lord and his Church, Grant Chapel AME (Albuquerque), He loved to travel, fish, tell stories of his life, listen to the golden oldies, cook and be with his family. After he retired from the United States Post Office, he ran an Ice Cream vending truck in Alb., NM. SANCHEZ -- Ferna Lopez, 91, passed away in the presence of her family on January 26, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ferna was born on December 18, 1918 in Pinos Wells, New Mexico to Jose Luis and Rosalia Lopez. She married Juan C. Sanchez also of Pinos Wells. Together they raised their five children and resided in Duran, New Mexico until November 1985 when her husband passed away. Ferna then moved to Albuquerque and resided there until her passing. Ferna was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being around her family. Anytime you went to visit you would hear her singing. Her great-grandchildren loved to listen to her play the harmonica. Ferna's family was her life and she will be greatly missed. Ferna is survived by her children, Arthur Sanchez and wife, Ruby of Santa Fe, Sadie Martinez and husband, Blas of Phoenix, Steve Sanchez and wife, Berna of Santa Fe, Olivia Martinez of Albuquerque, Johnny Sanchez and wife, Irene of Vaughn; 16 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan C. Sanchez; grandson, Richard (Ricky) Martinez; and great- grandson, James Maes. The Rosary will be recited at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2010, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at San Jose Parish in Duran, New Mexico. SANCHEZ -- Mary Johnette Sanchez, 72, of Springdale, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010. She was born May 11, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa to Aliido and Mary Louise Fohgerty Chavas. Mrs. Sanchez graduated from St. Vincent Catholic High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She married Albert P. Sanchez on November 28, 1959. They moved their family to Springdale in 1971. Mr. Sanchez preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include three children, Mary Sanchez Nelms and husband T.L. of Fayetteville, Albert Sanchez and wife Kim, Robert Sanchez and wife Tracey all of Springdale; and four grandchildren. SANCHEZ-DAVIS -- Ishmael L. Smokey, 80, passed Wednesday, January 27, 2010 after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's. He was also a cancer survivor. Smokey was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Davis and Ishmael Sanchez. He retired as Director and Regional Director of HUD/FHA; and throughout his life and career served as a volunteer on numerous Boards and Committees. Most recently, he served as a Board Member of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation, the US New Mexico Federal Credit Union for more than 35-years, and the City of Albuquerque Police Oversight Committee. Smokey was especially proud to have been one of the original organizers of the City of Albuquerque Founders Day Celebrations; and his time in the NM House of Representatives. He was a Deputy Assessor with the Bernalillo County Assessor's Office, a member of the UNM Lobo Club, and served on a Vocational Rehabilitation Committee for the State of NM. He took great pleasure in having lunch with the retired APS Counselors too! He was a graduate of St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe; a graduate of The College of St Joseph's on the Rio Grande and attended UNM Law School. Smokey is survived by his wife of forever, Prestina Sanchez-Davis; his daughters Brenda Sanchez-Davis and Samina Sanchez-Davis; and his five grand cats. Pallbearers include Michael Davis, Richard Davis, Vicki Pollack, Georgette Jaurequi, Gary Mendiola, Rick Maldonado, Michael Brunacini, and Lew Seebinger. Honorary Pallbearers include Ray Brunacini, Dr. Robert Castillo, Edward Chavez, Dick Elias, Michael Griego, Nick Kapnison, Billy Marciondo, Joseph Delta Walker and his St Michael's classmates: Vicente Apodaca, Gilbert Delgado, Victor Garcia, Al Grady, Manuel Lujan, Rubel Montoya, Alfred O'Malley, Rudy Pacheco, Donald Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, Dan Russel, Damacio Salazar, and, Victor Fidel and Paul Shea who are recently deceased. Monday, February 1, there will be a visitation beginning at 3:00 PM; the Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at French's Mortuary Chapel on Lomas east of Eubank. There will be coffee and sharing of memories after the Rosary. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW. VAN BAAK -- Paul. On Monday, January 25, 2010, Paul Van Baak's 88th-year earthly journey ended, and he entered heaven. His wife, Alice Kennedy Van Baak, will miss her soulmate. WILSON -- Mary Hannah (Murm) Wilson, 86, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. She was born August 14, 1923 in Harriman, TN, a daughter of Samuel Shelton and Arminta Grace Hester Crass. She married Joseph Ray Wilson, July 3, 1986 in Albuquerque. He passed away in July 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Duncan McAliney, Lake St. Louis, MO, and Pamela Duncan Zayas and husband, Freddie Zayas of Alexandria, VA; three stepchildren, Steve and Gail Wilson of Tennessee, Nathan and Ellis Stonecipher of Nevada, and Nancy Hightower of Tennessee; one grandson, Shawn Roache and girlfriend, Rebecca Smith, Albuquerque, NM; two granddaughters, Tami and husband, Matt Hanks, Swansea, IL and Trisha and husband, Larry Bunt, Wentzville, MO; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lady Bug Watson of Texas; and one brother, SS Crass, Jr., of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burl Grant Duncan; and one brother, Hooper Crass. A memorial service will be conducted at French - University Chapel.
