ARCHIBEQUE -- Elias Archibeque, 72, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Emily; seven children, Steve, Richard, David, Daniel, James, John and wife, Wilene, all of Albuquerque, and MaryAnn Jones and husband, Taihi of Mission, TX; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Malerie, Twila, Tre, Tayo, Tajh, Andrew, and Sophia; three great-grandchildren, Josef, Esperanza, and Manuel; five sisters, Senie, Maryann, Vangie, Adelina, and Helen; three brothers, Albert, Andrew and Edward; and many nieces and nephews who were very respectful and loving to their Uncle Elias.. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel; and his parents, Herminio and Sylviana Archibeque. He was a lifelong parishioner of San Ignacio Catholic Church, and he and Emily were united in marriage there on April 23, 1955. For many years he was a Mayordomo at the church and also volunteered to serve the elderly as a Eucharistic minister. Elias also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for nine years. For 30 years, he was a driver for Arkansas Best Freight. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 1300 Walter NE, with Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. BLACK -- Florence C. Black, 73, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 9, 2009 with her family at her side. Mrs. Black is survived by her children, A. Anthony Black and wife, Mary Ann, Veronica Stepp, and Martin Black; her son in law, Rick Austin; her grandchildren, Joe Michael Fraley and wife, Christina, Jenara Furness and husband, Dennis, Gary Fraley and wife, Kara, Brittonie King and husband, Logan, Kolbe Fraley, Eric Fraley, Alex Black and Brianna Black; her great-grandchildren, Avery, Jenna, Kalista, Koda, Kenzia, Lance, Landon and Owen. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred B. Black; her son, Vincent E.J. Black; and eleven older siblings. CAMPBELL -- Ruth Creighton Campbell died peacefully on June 4, 2009 at the Presbyterian Hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico surrounded by her children, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. She was born 95 years ago on May 22, 1914 in Bakersfield, California and spent her childhood in China with her missionary parents and her four siblings. She began drawing at the age of two and never stopped. She attended Shanghai American School for a year; came home to the US at age 14; finished high school in Wooster, Ohio (1930); graduated from the College of Wooster with a BA in History (1934); and earned an art degree in illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art (1938). She designed handkerchiefs in New York and taught art at Sophie Newcombe College in New Orleans. Returning to New York, she married Charles Campbell in 1940, and raised three children in Monmouth Hills, New Jersey. While her children were small she did art as a volunteer for non-profit organizations. Her work impressed a neighbor who hired her as art director in his new ad agency. For 35 years she produced memorable and award-winning print ads, catalogues and mailers for many businesses. Since the 1950's she continued to study painting and showed and sold her work. She opened and managed a fine art gallery in Red Bank, New Jersey with a few colleagues. Advertising remained her major endeavor, her primary source of income, and her passion. In 1996 she retired to Albuquerque, continuing to make, sell and talk art. For the past seven years she lived at La Vida Llena retirement community. A Memorial Service will be held there on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. She will be greatly missed by her three children, Nancy Kane of Chatham NY, Bill Campbell of River Falls WI, John Campbell of Tokyo, Japan, their spouses; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; her dear friends Joanie and KC Orth and their children; and good friends at La Vida Llena.

DAVIS -- Marian Jo Davis, a woman committed to God and her family, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009. She lived out her commitment by serving children in both her career, 28 years of teaching in APS, and 58 years of teaching children in her church. Marian has been a teacher of teachers for the past 20 years. She was an active member of the area wide senior adult choir "Young At Heart", where she was choir chaplain. Traveling was one of her greatest joys; she traveled to all 50 states and many other countries. Even just days before she passed, she was actively serving and involved in the lives of her family. The gift of service was continually being expressed by Marian to her family and the community. Marian was an active member of Del Norte Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Ann Moon and husband, Danny, of Albuquerque and Cindy Rae Chasteen and husband, Chris, of Elverta, CA; son, Larry Joe Davis and wife, Carrie, of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Karey Johnson and husband, Wil, Kristy Peck and husband, Wade, John Davis, Matthew Davis and wife, Casey, Cammi Moseley and husband, Justin, and Scott Chasteen and wife, Nicole; great-grandchildren, Isiah Howell, Noah Howell, Gabriellah Howell, Whitney Peck, Audrey Peck and Mason Davis; sister, Jane Wright of Springfield, MO; and brother, David Cordell of Littletown, CO. DAVIS -- W. Orville Davis, 97, died June 7, 2009. He was born November 3, 1911 in Greenwood, Texas to James Isaac and Mary Etta Davis. He met and married Marguerite York in July 1939. He is survived by his wife of 70 years; son James Davis and wife Brenda; daughter-in-law, Priscilla; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Orville was preceded in death by his son Kenneth, two brothers and a sister. Mr. Davis loved his family, his church family but most of all he loved His Lord and Savior Jesus. Orville and Marguerite were active members of First Baptist Church since the early 1940's where Orville served as a Deacon. A service will be Friday, 1:00 pm, June 12, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Central and Broadway in Albuquerque. EHLERT -- Alma A. Ehlert, age 73, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009. She was born April 3, 1936 to James and Elsie Brannon of Albuquerque. Alma graduated from Albuquerque High School and later married Wayne Ehlert. Together they founded Hope Christian School in 1976 and administered the school until they retired in 2003. Wayne and Alma attended Faith Chapel for years. Alma is survived by her son, Jeffrey Ehlert and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Kendahl and Terrance of Rio Rancho; brother, James Brannon and wife, Corla; nephews, Galen Brannon and wife, Pam, Eric Brannon and wife, Jeannine, all of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; and son, Barry. Services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. GILBERT -- Robert M. Gilbert, Sr. was born in Haddon Heights, NJ on June 29, 1924. He resided in Wildwood, NJ until he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on August 18, 1942 at Philadelphia, PA He served his country until being honorably discharged on April 12, 1946. During his term of service he received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Victory Medal, Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal and the American Theater Ribbon with one (1) star. He was also a member of Kingston Lodge No. 10 F & AM in Kingston, NY. On February 14, 1946 he married his wife Arlene, were parents of a daughter, Kathryn and son, Robert Jr. (deceased). They are members of Covenant United Methodist Church in Albuquerque and celebrated "63" years of marriage. HALLIGAN -- Joseph F. Halligan, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009. Joseph was born May 25, 1925 the son of Joseph and Margaret Eisele Halligan in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He loved boating and fishing, and had a passion for photography. Joseph is survived by his wife, Helen Halligan; children, Joseph, Thomas, and William; and six grandchildren, Carly, Cori, Sean, Sandy, Kari, and Sarah; also numerous nephews and nieces. Pop will be dearly missed and may God take him to that Great Fishing spot in His Heaven. JOHNSON -- William Randal Johnson, more affectionately known as Randy, passed away on Monday June 8, 2009. In his younger days Randy was known for his love of the outdoors, fishing, and more recently his love for reading. KLATTENHOFF -- Wilbur Henry Klattenhoff, devoted pastor, husband, father, and grandfather was called home to Heaven to be with Christ his Savior and reunited with his beloved wife on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. He was 90 years old. He is survived by five loving daughters and their husbands, Carol and Jeff Mullen, Susan and Glenn Weber, Linda and Dave Parmeter; Nancy and John Lacher; and Kathy and Ed DeLucas. He also had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The grandchildren include Megan Mullen; Michele and Carrie (Busch) Weber; Matthew and Leslie (Newberry) Parmeter. Great- grandchildren are Mayson and Hunter Parmeter. He was affectionately called Pastor "K" by his congregation at Christ Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, which he was called to establish in 1959. Pastor Klattenhoff was ordained by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in 1944. For 40 years until he retired in 1984, he served two families, the members of his congregations and his family at home. He was very proud of both families, providing guidance, discipline, support and love to his congregations and his loved ones. He was much more than a minister and father, he was a counselor, role model, and motivator possessing the leadership of Moses, the strength of David and the wisdom of Solomon, coupled with the dedication and determination of Peter. He loved his parishioners and his family. He very much loved his wife and soul mate Alma. He loved golf and his German shepherd, Magnum. He will be greatly missed. Visitation is scheduled to be at French Mortuary, at 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, June 12, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 7001 Candelaria NE, with Pastor Glenn Weber and Pastor Neal Groeling officiating. LEWIS -- Julius Lewis, age 79, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Nordheim, Texas on December 14, 1929.Julius worked until his retirement at several major commercial construction firms in Albuquerque area, he was also a tireless worker at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Julius was a devoted family man who was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Lewis; daughters, Renae K. Lewis, Dorine Williams and son, Steve; brothers, Joe M. Lewis, Bob T. Lewis; sisters, Lorraine Pickens, Beulah King and Christine Galloway. Julius was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and a grandaughter. He also leaves to mourn numerous family and friends. MILLER -- Marjorie Ann Miller died in her sleep Thursday, May 21, 2009, after fighting cancer for 18 months. She was preceded in death by her parents, M. W. (Chisel) Smith and Mary I. (Jerry) Smith, husband, Louis C. Miller and daughter Virginia L. (Ginny) Miller. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary K. (Katie) and Richard A. Benedict of Lavon, TX. Granddaughter and her husband, Amanda L. and Christopher M.J. Prouty and three great-grandsons, Brendyn, Caleb and Zachary of Wylie TX. Sister, Judi K. Sinks and Nephew, Steven J. PEREA -- Benjamin G. 74, went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gertrude; daughter, Roberta; brother, Dave; and sister, Lupe. All those that knew him loved him for he was like no other, loved life and enjoyed his family and friends. He left behind, his wife of 30 years Claudina; sons, Kenneth and wife, Lana, Gilbert and wife, Sharyn, Thomas and wife, Linda, Mark, Carla and husband, Ernie; brothers, Dan and wife, Monie, and Robert; grandchildren, James, Vince, Elisha, and Ralph; great- grandchild, Claudia. ROMERO -- Andrew Vincent Romero, 23, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 8, 2009. Andrew is survived by his father, Carlos Gonzales; Big Mom, Sally Gonzales; Little Mom, Annette Romero; his sisters, Monique Romero, and Angelique Gonzales; his uncle, Andrew Romero; his aunts, Carolyn Romero, Donna Gonzales, and Ruby Sanchez; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his cousin, Ryan Gonzales; and his friend, Chris. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2009 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Joseph Baca. Final visitation will be Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Stephen Hickman, Presider. Pallbearers will be Jesse Dominguez, James Gonzales, Dominic Gonzales, Paul Bryant, Juan Chavez and Dominic Chavez. ROTHWELL -- Inez Rothwell passed away on June 7, 2009 in the arms of her loving husband at the age of 95. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Rothwell; sister, Verna Scilligo; and many nieces and nephews. Inez was born on a small farm in Linn, Missouri in 1913. She was raised in a time of horse and buggy and saw all the changes of the modern world. She and John moved to Albuquerque on Thanksgiving Day, 1970 and enjoyed their retirement by building a cabin in the Jemez Mountains. She lived a wonderful, fulfilling life alongside that of her husband. Inez was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

SALTZMAN -- Doris E. Saltzman, 86, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Doris was born in Milford, NE Monday, August 21, 1922 to John I. and Mary Ann (Birky) Stutzman. She is survived by her children, Julia Sommers and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque, NM, Diane Beckler and husband, Norman of Philadelphia, TN, Karl Saltzman and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque, NM, Reta Roth and husband, Duane of Rio Rancho, NM, Nathan Saltzman and wife, Marilyn of Albuquerque, NM, and daughter-in-law, Dwanna Schantz and husband, Leonard of W. Burlington, IA; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Beachy and husband, Joe; and sister, Wilma Roth; and many other family and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clinton; son, Lonnie; grandson, Kelvin; sisters, Elsie Earnest, Millie Miller, Lillie Stauffer/Lehman, and Florence Stauffer; and her brother Earl Stutzman. Mrs. Saltzman and her husband were faithful members of the Milford Mennonite Church in Milford, NE and after moving to Albuquerque she attended Faith Bible Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a young girl and was a committed Christian. SCHAIRER -- Ed Schairer. Fine furniture designer and Craftsman, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 6, 2009. He was born on June 27, 1947. Ed was a member of the band at Sandia High School, received best trumpet player in NM award, and graduated from UNM with a geology degree. He was a member of Christ Unity at the Edge of the Woods Church (near Sedillo, NM.) Services will be at his church on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his brother, Don Schairer and wife, Karen of Sedona AZ; his niece, Amber and nephew, Eric and their families; his son, Daniel Schairer and wife, Nicole; and grandsons, Keith and Trent; daughter, Abigail Schairer and wife, Geena; step-son, Will Hoffman and wife, Rachel, and grandsons, Arion and Tyler Hoffman; and three other step-sons and their families.

TRUJILLO -- Oralia M. Trujillo, 81, of Albuquerque New Mexico passed away on June 8, 2009 of natural causes. She was born on June 16, 1927 to Vicente and Maria Adelina Montoya. She grew up and eventually taught school in Torreon, New Mexico where her students adored her. She married Longinos Castulo Trujillo on July 8, 1950, and they were devoted to each other until his death on May 10, 2008. Together they raised six sons, Carlos who preceded his parents in death on May 25, 2007; and is survived by her family Wayne Joseph and family of Virginia, Stephen, Jeffery Daniel and family, Longinos Jerry Jr. and Mark Anthony and family all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by two sisters; Katie Nanez and Candelaria Alderete, and three brothers, Frank, Rudy and Benny Montoya. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m., in the Carlisle Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., also in the Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, June 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, (on the corner of Lomas and Tennessee); Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. VANBIBBER -- Dorothy Louise (Haffa) VanBibber, born in Tulsa, OK on October 29, 1923, died at home in Albuquerque, NM on June 9, 2009, surrounded by her family. She moved to Aurora, MO, at the age of five, where she lived until she graduated from Aurora High School in 1941. Some of the best times of her life were her trip to Washington, DC, after her high school graduation, and the time she spent during WWII living in San Diego, CA, where she worked for Western Union. It was there that she met her husband, Burl, who was a member of the US Marine Corps. She was an active member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women, and participated in 50 Plus as well as various Bible study groups. She was a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary and the Purple Heart Auxiliary. She was a Cafeteria Manager for Albuquerque Public Schools for over 25 years. She is survived by her sister, Frances Baity of CA, her daughters, Teresa Stevens and husband, Robert, Marilyn (Didi) Shaffer and husband, William; her sons, Michael VanBibber, Patrick VanBibber and wife, Suzanne, and Clinton VanBibber; seven granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Burl VanBibber, and sister, Marjorie Garcia. She was very closely connected to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren by her never-ending supply of hugs, kisses and love and will be forever missed by everyone she knew. VIGIL -- Margaret Yvette Vigil born July 13, 1954, passed away suddenly at UCSD Hillcrest Hospital, San Diego, California on Sunday, May 31, 2009. She lived her formative years in NM, where she attended Albuquerque High School and TVI. Margaret moved to California and worked in hospital administration. She had a successful career and was nominated as the 2009 National Hispanic Business Woman of the Year. Margaret is survived by her two loving daughters, Ronda and Madeline Gomez; ex-husband, Ronald Gomez; sisters, Patricia Appel, Barbara Castro, and Sandra Alarcon; brothers, Alfonso Vigil, Daniel Payne, and Michael Payne; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members. WINN -- Jackie Lee Winn, SFC- US Army (Ret). November 26, 1929 to June 9, 2009. Jack honorably served his Country in the United States Army and retired after 20 years of service. After serving his Country he gave another 19 years to the University of New Mexico with the Campus Police and Ford Utilities. From that point forward Jack spent his days enjoying and spoiling his granddaughter Ashley. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, John Wayne, fishing, camping, building things, fixing things, a good cup of coffee and his family. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlene H. Winn; his daughter, Tamma Williams (Irving Andrews); his granddaughter, Ashley Williams; brother, Lewis "Joe" George Winn Jr. (Holly Hardin) and cousins, Steve (Shawne) Weinberger and Shirley (John) Hayes. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Lewis George and Ruby Winn and by his twin brother, Robert H. Winn. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Alb., NM 87112, on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., with Rev.
