CALA -- Charles G. Cala, age 75, passed away on Sunday in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Havana, Cuba to Manuel and Saturnina Cala. Chuck came to the United States in 1953 and served in the United States Air Force. He was an insurance representative for 30 years and retired in 1993. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Sally of the family home; their two children, John Cala and wife, Bernadette and Chuck Cala, Jr. and wife, Gloria, all of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Monique, Mark, Lauren and Lucas Cala. Chuck has one sister, Eliria Lavina of Denver, CO. The pallbearers include: John Cala, Mark Cala, Chuck Cala, Jr., Lucas Cala, Fred Gonzales and Jim Porter. Honorary pallbearers include: Monique Cala and Lauren Cala. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. CAMDEN -- Elizabeth Anne Ball Torres Camden passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 of heart failure. She was born on October 2, 1960 in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Camden of Bosque Farms; parents, Frederic and Kathleen Ball of Albuquerque; her sister, Susan Ball and her son, Francis S. Torres by a previous marriage. Also, by her stepchildren, Mark and Lacey Camden. Elizabeth graduated from Sandia Prep School and attended the University of Denver. She supported herself and her son as a secretary and with a shop she co-owned in Old Town. She loved animals, singing, the arts and gardening. At the age when he was three months old her son performed with her as mother and baby gypsies in the Opera Carmen at the Kimo. She is mourned by her husband, Ron, her son, parents, sister, extended family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1st United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008. Her many friends are invited to come celebrate Elizabeth's life in the service and remain for a gathering in the Fellowship Hall. Donations may be made to a group that serves women's and children's needs or organ donations.

CARR -- Dennis Lee Carr, 48, died at his home in Albuquerque Friday, December 12. His death comes as a complete and devastating shock to those who knew and love him. Dennis was a gifted and gentle soul and very talented writer and musician. He was the brightest light in any situation, his beautiful smile could light up anyone near him. He will be missed and is beloved by so many. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Susan Romero; his father, Bill Carr, stepmother, Beth and grandmother, Violet of Florida; his mother, Alice and stepfather, Jim Crocker of Pennsylvania; his brothers Keith, of California; and Brian and his family, sister-in-law Danielle, nieces Heather, Emily and Laura Beth, and nephews, Kenny and Kevin of Colorado; his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kathy Smetana and Mary Anne Romero of California; and many much-loved cousins and friends. Dennis was recently preceded in death by his beloved father-in-law, Dr. John Romero, who the family prays was there to accept Dennis and to lead him into the light. Services for Dennis will be held in Pennsylvania, Long Beach, Calif and Albuquerque.

CERISE -- Orvie Joseph "O.J." Cerise, 98, a long-time resident of Carbondale, Colorado, passed over in Albuquerque, NM on Monday, December 15, 2008. He was born July 25, 1910 in Snowmass, CO, the eldest child of Frank and Margarite Cerise. He lived all but the last few years of his life in Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley. He was first a farmer, then worked at the Aspen Highlands Ski Lift, and finally was a Forest Service employee caring for campgrounds in the area. He loved the mountains and fishing - especially teaching his grandchildren to fish. He was preceded in death by Charolette, his wife of 69 years, in 2005. O.J. is survived by two daughters; Bonnie Terliamis and husband Nick of Paonia, CO and Barbara Bailey and husband George of Placitas, NM; a son, Richard Cerise and wife Sheila of Kingman, AZ; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 North 4th St., in Alameda, on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, CO. DWORACZYK -- Sister Mary Margaret Ann Dworaczyk June 14, 1929 - December 15, 2008 Felician Franciscan, Sister Mary Margaret Ann Dworaczyk passed away at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Provincial House, in Rio Rancho, NM, shortly after noon on Monday, December 15, 2008. Born on June 14, 1929 in Yorktown, TX, Margaret was the youngest of fourteen children of Arcadeus and Veronica Muschalek Dworaczyk. She lived a happy childhood as a self named tomboy competing with her slightly older brothers in play at home and in school. She was noted to be the fastest and best tree climber in the group. She received her basic education in her hometown and after graduation from Yorktown High School, she entered the Felician Sisters Convent in Chicago, IL, on August 22, 1947. After making her profession as a Fellician Sister, bearing the name of Sister Mary Fermine, she embarked on a forty-six year teaching ministry which began in Chicago and later took her to Pomona, and Los Angeles, CA, San Antonio, Panna Maria, Karnes City, and Fort Worth, TX Leavenworth, KS, Ashton, NE, and Rio Rancho, NM Sister taught students from kindergarten to high school and religious education classes on many levels. Sister earned her BA from Immaculate Heart College and her MA from Loyola Marymount University, both in Los Angeles, CA. After almost two decades she returned to her baptismal name of Margaret. Like her patron saint, she had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and his Divine Mercy. A skilled teacher of English in High School, she used her gift to write, and often composed original prayers and other poetic creations. Always joyful and thoughtful toward all, she remembered the special occasions in the lives of others through her faithful correspondence and sharing of gifts. She took in stride the challenges life presented her and after retirement from teaching she continued to minister at the provincial house in Rio Rancho, assisting the secretary and the development director. As her health diminished, she devoted more and more time to prayer. Sister Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Emily, Ella, Mary, Celia, Vera and Bridget and her brothers, Ben, Daniel, Alphonse, Martin and Celestine. She is survived by her brother William Dworaczyk of Yorktown, TX, and her sister, Sister Wenceslaus Dworaczyk, CCVI of San Antonio, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary and wake services will be held in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Provincial House Chapel, 4210 Meadowlark Lane, SE, Rio Rancho on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 7:00 PM. FRANKLIN -- Sol Franklin Jr., a fifty-five year resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday the 13th of December 2008 in Albuquerque. Sol was born to Sol and Lenora Bull Franklin February 8th, 1922 in El Paso, Texas. He married Amelda "Melly" Spikes in 1947 after serving as a gunnery instructor during WWII. Sol is a graduate of the University of Texas and spent his career as a Stock Broker. Sol was a nationally ranked tennis player for many years and past president of the Albuquerque Tennis Club, With Vets doubles partner Reggie Garcia, he was ranked sixth in the nation by the American Lawn Tennis Association. Sol is survived by his loving wife Amelda of sixty-one years of marriage, children Susan Maxberry and her husband Richard of Lawton, OK, April Price of Albuquerque, Tod Franklin and his wife Karen of Dallas, TX, Sister Joanna Dodge of El Paso, TX, sister in law Ann Franklin of Carrolton, TX, Grandchildren Christopher Rockhold of Lawton, OK, Ethan Price of Honolulu, HI, Ryan Price of Phoenix, AZ, Kameron and Logan Franklin both of Dallas, TX. Seven Nieces and Nephews survive as well. Sol will be deeply missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Sol Franklin and Leonora Bull Franklin. FRINGS -- Manfred Frings, died peacefully Monday, December, 15, 2008. He is survived by his soul mate & wife of 32 years, Karin; daughter, Bliss and many friends, colleagues & grateful felines. Dr. Frings was a professor emeritus of Philosophy at DePaul University in Chicago. Manfred taught and lectured at a variety of universities in the U.S. and abroad, including the universities of Cologne, Freiburg, Oxford, Varna and the Sorbonne. Besides his research in contemporary philosophical issues, such as the order of values, the sociology of knowledge, morals and politics, and the philosophy of time, he focused on the historical links between pre-Socratic thought and basic concepts of contemporary atomic physics; Dr. Frings was honorary president of the International Max Scheler Society and a founding member of the Max Scheler Society of North America. He published well over one hundred articles, edited twenty four books and wrote a number of books including "A Concise Introduction into the World of a Great Thinker". His research in Max Scheler's philosophy and extensive work as editors of Scheler's collected works met with many expressions of recognition and gratitude, among them was his meeting at the Vatican with Pope John Paul II in private audience, after writing the forward to Pope John Paul II's book Primat des Geistes, Manfred was a member of the National Association of Scholars, the Air Force Association, the Heritage Foundation and was American correspondent for The British Society for Phenomenology from 1975 until 1996. Among his avocations were playing the violin and piano, the latter of which he taught himself, by ear. He had given recitals both home and abroad. His favorite was the piano music of classic romanticism, especially Frederic Chopin and Franz Schubert. He was contentedly playing his piano at home when he had a stroke. He went peacefully to wherever it is we go when we leave this life the following morning. GARRISON -- Agatha M. Garrison was born May 1st, 1918, in Putnam County, West Virginia and passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday morning, December 13, 2008. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosalie Peters, and grandson, Wesley Peters. She is survived by various cousins, nieces and nephews. Agatha was proud of her service as an aircraft mechanic for the Air Force during World War II. She moved to Torrance County in 1981 and will long be remembered for her good humor and love of music. Raising African violets was one of Agatha's interests. She was a member of the Albuquerque African Violet Club for over twenty years holding the positions of judge, vice-president, secretary, historian, and publicity chairman. She won blue ribbons for her plant and design entries in the club's spring shows. Agatha also attended many of the annual national conventions of the African Violet Society of America. In 2004 at the convention in Tucson, she was awarded the AVSA Hudson Memorial Award for Affiliate Leadership. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19th at the Estancia United Methodist Church, 600 Williams Ave. in Estancia, N.M. GIBSON -- Betty Marie Gibson, 83 of Mesa, Arizona, peacefully passed away December 12, 2008. She was born February 9, 1925 to George and Lima Meta Lefler of Winner, South Dakota. After graduation from Weslyan College she went into nurses training in Chicago, Illinois where she met and married Raymond Gibson on February 12, 1945. Together they raised four children in South Holland, Illinois, and eventually moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, for their retirement years. Betty will be joining in heaven to celebrate the holidays with many friends and relatives including her parents, loving husband, Raymond, brother, Dale Lefler, Aunt Ione and Uncle Carl Schwingl, special friends Corky Blankenship and Buelah Heymers, Emma Moore, and Lucy Brown. Betty is survived by her loving and devoted sons and daughter who are Dennis of Mesa, Arizona (Sio) Dirk, of Albuquerque, New Mexico (Angela) Laura living in Greentown, Indiana (Mark) and Dean also from Albuquerque, New Mexico (Laura). Grandchildren include Grant, Mitchell, Erica, Emily, U.S. Marine Corps recruit Adam R. Gibson, and Special Friend Hope. Also brother-in-law John Gibson, of St. Petersburg, Florida, sister-in-law, Doris Kitto, of Platteville, Wisconsin, Special cousin Cheryl Case of Phoenix, Arizona (Artie) and Aunt Wilberta Ogden of Rewey, Wisconsin. Upon first arriving in Mesa, Betty lived at the Grand Court assisted living home where she will be missed by life-long friends Carrie Hawkey, Shirley Stephans, Ruth Vallie, Ella Geist and many, many others. Services are being set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Cabalo Church at Cabalo, New Mexico. Betty's final resting place will be with Raymond at Sierra Vista Cemetery in Truth or Consequences. GILLEPSPIE -- Clara Mae Gillespie left our physical world in Albuquerque NM Sunday morning the 14th of December 2008 following a lengthy illness. She slipped away with God in her heart, a dove to guide her and a family by her side. Mrs. Gillespie was born on the 15th of September 1937 in Mountain Park, North Carolina to Robert Charles Brooks and Ollie Mae Sturgill-Brooks. Mrs. Gillespie was a loving wife and mother, she will always be loved and missed intensely. Clara Mae is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Randall H. Gillespie, two sons, Paul Keller and his wife, Leslie of Albuquerque, Mike Keller of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Stacie Keller of St. Cloud, MN, Ashlyn Keller of Albuquerque; two stepsons, Jeffery Scott Gillespie of Melbourne, FL, Randall Keith Gillespie of Killeen, TX; one step-daughter, Robin Elizabeth Nott; one brother and two sisters, and many other individuals who loved her and whom she loved. HARPER -- Robert Jack (R.J.) Harper, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend went home to be with his Lord Monday, December 16, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Marie and brothers: Bobby and Pat. R.J. approached this fight as he did everything in life with strength, humor, and concern for those he loved. He was born September 23, 1942, the son of Pleas and Melverdia Harper in Denton, TX. An honest, hardworking truck driver, he could drive anything with wheels, and no job was too difficult for him to tackle. This carried over to his love of Harley motorcycles and for biking with his wife and friends. His good nature and love of laughter touched all who were privileged to know him and experience his unconditional love and acceptance. This gentle giant will truly be missed and always loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Reba; son: Danny of Oklahoma City; sister: Auda Belle Gray and brothers: Rick and Charles; mother-and father-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and sisters and brothers-in-law. KING -- Ruth (Wolcott) King Ruth quietly slipped into the arms of her Creator on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008 in her Rio Rancho home. She was 71 years old. Ruth was born on 3-25-37 in Montour, NY to Arthur and Mildred (Vroman) Wolcott. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Willard J. King of Rio Rancho; a sister, Isabel Blaisdell of Lima, NY; a son, Keith McCullough; a daughter, Susan Rodenbeck of Illinois and stepdaughters, Judith Chapman and Joann Moore of Rio Rancho, NM. Ruth was a member of the Women of the Moose for 29 years, originally joining the East Heights Chapter #1577 in Albuquerque and later transferred to the Albuquerque Chapter #1266. She held the highest office as Senior Regent in both these Chapters. Ruth ended up transferring to the Rio Rancho Chapter #2217 to be closer to her home. She was very active in any of these Chapters and always willing to help wherever she was needed. She was always prepared to take a chairmanship and followed through with her duties. Ruth was also a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks #2500 in Rio Rancho, NM where she was installed as Secretary in April of 2008. Ruth loved her association with both these fraternal orders and believed whole heartedly in their respective purposes. Cremation has taken place at Direct Cremation & Burial Service is Albuquerque. KIVITZ -- Benjamin Kivitz, died peacefully on Saturday morning, December 14, 2008. His short life was lived fully with laughter, compassion and friendship. In his fight against cancer, Ben's true character was revealed. He took on the battle with humor, strength and rarely complained. He will be truly missed and always loved. LE -- Thu Thi Le, age 62, died at University Hospital on Saturday, December 13, 2008, following a courageous battle with lupus that lasted more than 5 years. She was born October 10, 1946 in Phan Thiet, Vietnam. She graduated from college and was a school teacher in her native Vietnam. She overcame the hardships of war and brought her family to the United States in 1980 to give her children an opportunity at freedom. Thu is proceeded by her oldest daughter, Truc. She is survived by her husband, Nhiem Tran, her son, Lam Tran, her daughter and her husband, Thuy Tran and Jimmy Nyguyen, her daughter, Nancy Tran, and her son, Thomas Tran. LUCERO -- Daniel Jeffrey Lucero (#22), 20 years old, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 15, 2008. Daniel is survived by his mother, Diane Lucero; his father, Jim Lucero; his sister, Jamie WIlliams and husband, Chris; his brother, Jimmy Lucero and girlfriend, Angelica Chavez; his niece and nephew, Autumn and Sam WIlliams; his grandparents, Ralph and Mary Lucero and Connie Chavez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Daniel was a member of the Catholic Church and attended and played baseball at N.M. J.C. in Hobbs, NM. MICEK -- Lucian "Lou" Micek passed away in Albuquerque on Monday morning, December 15, 2008. He was born to Alvin F. Micek and Hedwig Jarecki in Humphrey, NE on October 31, 1921. Lou was a man with many occupations and master of all. Due to the depression, he had to leave school in the eighth grade to get odd jobs to help support his family. In 1939, at the age of 17, he joined the Civilian Conservation Camps and worked in Custer, SD until 1940. During the early World War II years, he went to Buffalo, NY to work in an airplane factory. He worked for Bell Aircraft Company, and Martine Corporation. Lou worked on the B-26 bomber in Omaha, NE and also attended The Aeronautical Institute. He joined the Army Air Force in 1943. Lou took courses in Airplane Mechanics and completed the AAF training and specializing on B-17's. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal and was honorable discharged in 1943. While stationed at Kirtland AFB, he met the love of his life, Angeline Castillo. They married on June 4, 1947. They made their home in Columbus, NE until 1973. During that time his professions were many. He was a carpenter, mechanic, and welder. He started his own business of commercial fertilizing and hay bailing until 1970. During the winter months, he built houses, two of which were for his family. He then worked as a welder for a fabricating company. In 1973, he decided he had enough of the cold winters and decided to finally try his wife's hometown, so they moved to Albuquerque. He worked for a military subcontractor until he retired in 1983. Lou enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid Nebraska football fan. In his later years, he enjoyed watching all sports and tending to his garden. Lou is survived by his children, Kenneth Micek and Loretta Micek, both of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Nicole Micek of Englewood, FL; brothers, Ted Micek and wife, Theresa of Columbus, NE, Alvin Micek Jr. of Sherman, TX, Robert Micek and wife, Maxine of Omaha, NE; sisters, Virginia Iwan and husband John of Fullerton, NE and Marcia Nickolite and husband, Jim of Columbus, NE. He has also left behind several beloved in-laws, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. MIGNONE -- Joseph A. Mignone, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2008. A Navy veteran, and Civil servant with the United States Postal Service for more than 35 years, he served his nation, patrons and family as a humble servant. A true Good Samaritan to both man and beast. He would rescue stray dogs, warming them in his mail truck in winter. NARRO -- Mario F. Narro, 79, son of Crespin and Luz Narro, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, December 13, 2008. He was born in San Antonio, TX. Mario retired from the US Air Force where he served in Vietnam for the Air Medevac. After, he worked and then retired from UNM Mental Health Services. He was also a member of LULAC, and also served with the Air National Guard. Maria is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Mike, Julio, Ramon, and Joe; and sister, Josefina. REL -- Braxton Rel, 10, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008. He is survived by his father and mother, Stephen and Lorna Rel and his brother, Preston; grandparents, Cecil and Bonnie Wilcox and Cecilia and Joe Sena; and great-grandmother, Ruby Peter. He is also survived by his Aunt Debbie, Aunt Sue, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Monika, Aunt Dani, Uncle Keith, Uncle Mike, Uncle Kevin, and Uncle Todd; cousins, Justin, Beverly, Chelsea, Aubrey, Michelle, Ashton, and Alexyss; and his pets, Freckles, Buster Brown, Sable, and Pooch. Braxton was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon Wilcox and his grandfather, Bernard Rel. Braxton was a strong but compassionate goalie who loved to play hockey. He was his mother's son. ROSE -- Patricia Rose, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Rose; daughter, Peggy and husband, Charles and family in Fayetteville, TN; sons, Robert and wife, Rosemary and John and wife, Virginia living in Albuquerque, Louis and wife, Karen living in Kuching, Malaysia; 11 grandchildren; one great- grandson; and brother, Ross of Oklahoma. Patricia was a noted landscape artist of the Southwest being a multi-winner in many competitions receiving several awards from the New Mexico State Fair Fine Arts Competition including the Governor's Award. She has won the State Fair Purchase Award four times. One of her works was presented to Mrs. Barbara Bush who hung it at Camp David. She has been associated with Weem's Gallery for over 25 years. Weem's Artfest selected Pat's painting one year for prints to raise funds for the Children's Hospital. Pat attended 6 years of Bible Study Fellowship and did mentoring of girls at YDDC. She is a member of the Annunciation Parish and has donated many of her prints and cards to support missionaries. SCHOCH -- Doris Eloise Schoch of Albuquerque, New Mexico died December 9th, 2008 at 12:45 pm. Her twin daughters Lynn Schoch Varshneya and Lee Schoch were by her side. She was born October 8th, 1922 in Mt.Vernon, Illinois. She was the widow of Claude Schoch and preceded in death by her son Russell Schoch and her mother Ella Lowery. Survivors include her son Don Bond of Las Vegas Nevada and brother Duane (Betty) Lowery of Albuquerque, son-in-law Deepak Varshneya of Falls Church, VA, grandsons Neil and A.J. SERNA -- Barbara Wray Serna passed away peacefully in Albuquerque on December 13, 2008 after a brief illness, with her children at her side. She had an abiding faith in God and a boundless love for her family. Barbara was born in Silver City, NM on February 10, 1925 to Leo and Juanita Wray. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Tryon of Woodstock, GA; Eva Clarke of Ruidoso, NM; Amy Werner of South Korea; by her son, David C. Serna of Albuquerque, wife, Patti, children Flor Isabel Serna, Emilia Serna, and Gisele Francisca (Kika) Serna; her son, Richard W. Serna of Nashua, NH, children, Wray Luisa Serna, and Antonio Roberto Serna; her son, Jeffrey P. Serna of Albuquerque, wife, Lupita, children, Renee Escamilla and Lindsey Escamilla; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. "Dave" Serna, who served for more than two decades as District Attorney in the Sixth Judicial District; siblings Francisco Lopez; Olga Carbajal; and Leola Alper. Barbara graduated from New Mexico Teacher's College with a Bachelor degree in Education, from Western New Mexico University with a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling, and from the Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mxico, in Mexico City, with a Masters degree in Spanish Literature. Barbara and Dave Serna, who were high school sweethearts, were married in 1951. For most of her career, Mrs. Serna was a popular Spanish teacher at Cobre High School in Bayard, NM. Her husband passed away unexpectedly in 1977, and in 1979, she retired to Albuquerque where she pursued her passion for gardening. She was a certified Master Gardener, recipient of the Horticulturist of the Year award from the New Mexico Garden Clubs in 1987-88, frequently served as a Flower Show Judge at the New Mexico State Fair and elsewhere, and won many top honors at various flower shows over the years. Visitation will begin at 9 o'clock in the morning Saturday December 20, 2008 with a memorial service in celebration of her life to begin at 10 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 3805 Delk Drive, Silver City, to be followed by concluding services and interment at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City. STROUD -- Ogden David Stroud, born February 14, 1960 in Galveston County, near the Webster, Texas family home went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2008 after a long battle with colon cancer. David is preceded in death by one brother, John Stroud of Paragould, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; and one son, Joshua of Edgewood, NM. He is also survived by his parents, Ogden and Mary Stroud of Levelland, Texas; one sister, Pam Shreve of Plano Texas; one sister-in-law, Denise Stroud of Paragould, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. David lived in Tucson, Arizona where he graduated from Sabino High School in 1978. He was an active participant in Motor-Cross bicycle racing. He attended Lubbock Christian University for one year before entering the United States Air Force, for four years. After his service in the Air Force, he worked as a technician for NASA in California. In 1993, David moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met and married Kimberly Ann Buckman in 1996. They were blessed with a son, Joshua Nathan, who was born in 2000. David was baptized into Christ as a young man. He served the Lord through work with the homeless, children's worship, and Bible classes. David and Kimberly are members of Mountainside Church of Christ where he also served as a deacon. David worked as a realtor for Mountain View Real Estate in Edgewood, New Mexico, where he was a salesman of the year in 2007. Services will be held at Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd. NE on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 with a Viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM. WALLACE -- John A. Wallace, 77, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Nov. 22, 2008 with family members at his side in Denver, CO. Born in Denver, the family spent some of John's early years in Pennsylvania and Mass. before moving back to Denver. He graduated from South High, Denver University as a member of Sigma Chi and rec'd. his Masters from New York University. After his tour of duty in the armed forces in Korea, he made his career in Real Estate following in his Dad's footsteps. He was preceded in death by his dad, H. Milo Wallace and his precious grandson, Jonathon Gossett. Surviving are Sandy Wallace, his daughters, Wendy (his loving care giver) and husband, John Gossett, Laurie and husband, Tim Ames, grandchildren, Audrey Gossett, Drew and Luke Ames of Denver, his 99 Yr. old mother, Edna Wallace, sister, Barbara Eastburg, nephew and nieces, Randy Eastburg, Linda Eastburg and Gwen Lowery of Albuquerque, N.M. and brother, Howard Wallace of San Francisco, Ca. Johnny will always be remembered for his knack of telling funny life stories at his own expense, his passion for dancing, his kind heart and big smile.
