LUCERO -- Pilar J. Lucero, 58, passed away November 30, 2007. He was preceded in death by father, Pilar Lucero Sr.; mother, Maggie Lucero; brother, David Lopez; and son, Alex M. Lucero. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Jane Lucero; sons, Pilar Lucero Jr. and wife, Marie, Andrew Lucero and wife, Sharon, David Lopez "BoBo", Ronnie Lucero and fiancee, Nita; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Tanya Sena, Esperanza Barela, Lorena Lovato, Isabel Lucero-Abeyta; brothers, Pete Lucero and Freddie Lucero; nieces; nephews; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Pilar was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Pilar lived his life to the fullest and was a cement finisher. He will be missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten. Services will be held at The People for Jesus Church 1201 San Mateo SE, Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leo Brennan officiating. MAESTAS -- Edward Oliver Maestas, age 71, formerly of Espanola and Albuquerque, died on Friday, November 30, 2007, following a respiratory disease. He had been at the New Mexico Veterans Home in T or C during the past three years. Oliver was the eldest son of Edward and Lola Maestas of Espanola. He had an extraordinary ability to play the trumpet and took high honors during high school, winning State Musical Competitions. He enjoyed playing in a dance band with his father and his brother, Silvie at community and private events in northern New Mexico while he resided there. Oliver was also a member of the US Air Force Band for four years, serving as first horn, first chair during that time. He continued his love of music throughout his life and had several of his musical compositions published. He was also a former employee of Trans World Airlines in Albuquerque. Oliver was preceded in death by his father, Edward and brothers, Silvie and Arthur. His is survived by sons, Marcus Maestas of Denver and Atley Maestas of Ojo Caliente; his mother, Lola Maestas of Santa Fe; one brother, Rudy Maestas of Bernalillo; sisters, Lorraine Elliott, Lucy Schwank and Eva Wills, all of Albuquerque, Amy Manning and Helen Whitfill of Santa Fe, and Pauline Martinez of Las Vegas, NM. He will be greatly missed by his family. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 3, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be Celebrated Tuesday, December 4, 2007, 11:30 a.m., at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be cousins, Lorenzo Herrera and Andrew Talachy; nephews, Carlo Lopez, Charles Tabor, David Wills, and Stephen Manning. Honorary pallbearer will be his cousin, Tony Lovato. MCKINNEY -- Anthony McKinney May 15, 1963 - November 27, 2007 He will be remembered by his love of life, his kind heart, unending enthusiasm and his love for family and friends. Anthony is survived by his mother Faye McKinney, sisters Takayla Faulkner, Tanya Rucker, and Yasmin Rogers, his aunt Rebecca Banks and his beloved grandmother Doris Banks. Anthony is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many, many loving friends. A Celebration of Anthony's Life will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Las Colinas Retirement Community, 500 Paisano NE, Albuquerque, NM. 291-0600. MCLEAN -- Della E. McLean, 99, died Sunday, November 25, 2007. She is survived by her son, Hugh W. McLean and wife, Jean of Albuquerque; her daughter-in-law, Norene McLean of Oregon; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her brother, Eura Spyres and wife, Lillian of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh W. McLean in 1966; and her son, Don McLean in 2007. She was a faithful member and bible teacher at First Baptist Church for many years. Della will especially be remembered for all the children she nurtured and loved there. Service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2007, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband. MIRABAL -- EUSTACIO J. Mr. Eustacio J. Mirabal, 88, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 28, 2007, and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Mr. Mirabal is the beloved father to Betsy Arias, Erminia Bencomo and husband, Ben. Mr. Mirabal is also survived by his sisters, Nora Marquez, Lala Mirabal and Alice Mirabal; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Mirabal was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Mirabal, his grandson, Andy E. Loya and his parents, brothers, and sisters. Mr. Mirabal was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow with a graveside blessing by Sister Ellen at the Bibo Cemetery. PENA -- Maria "Flora" Pena passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Pena; and brothers and sisters, Seferino Sanchez, Felix Sanchez, Amalia Baca, Josephine Sanchez, Nica Moffet and Eutimia Romero. Mrs. Pena is survived by her sisters, Sophie Turrietta, and Bernie Sanchez and husband, Orlando; brothers-in-law, Bennie Romero and Cole Moffet; sister-in-law, Florela Sanchez; dear cousins, Cora and Cesario Chavez; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Pena will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
