JORDAN -- Eugene T. Jordan, 52, passed away at home August 30, 2007 of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by this parents, Troy and Cathy Jordan and his brother, Wayne; he is survived by two brothers and several nieces and nephews. Eugene was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1954. Gene will be truly missed by his family and friends both inside and outside of the motorcycle community. There will be a viewing and Memorial Service for family and friends at Direct Funnel Services, 2919 4th St., NW, on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:30 a.m.

LARSON -- CHARLES W. Lt. Col (Ret.) USAF, Charles W. Larson, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, peacefully passed away on September 1, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Ressie; daughters, Carol and Robert Flint, Lydia Larson, and Ellen and Tom Genne' - all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sons, James and Eric; and his great-granddaughter, Abigail. Charles was raised in Wonewoe, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. He became a pilot in the Army Air Corps. He married Ressie in 1945, and was for many years, a dairy farmer in Mauston, Wisconsin. He also had a lumber mill, and was Postmaster in Mauston, Wisconsin, for 17 years. Charles and Ressie moved to Albuquerque, where he devoted his life and care to his family. Services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, 6200 Gibson SE. MASTENBROOK -- Jack Mastenbrook, 58, of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2007. He was currently serving as a First Sergeant in Operation Jumpstart on the New Mexico border; he served over 25 years of service in the Army and Army National Guard. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Afghanistan. In the 1980s he served as part of a team based out of Kirtland Air Force Base nicknamed "The Old Crows". He was an Assistant District Attorney in Alamogordo and Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Grace Mastenbrook and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Ann Mastenbrook; and son, Brent Mastenbrook and wife, Denise; and grandson, Christopher Mastenbrook. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. Albuquerque, NM. MATTEUCCI -- Norma Matteucci, 79, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 after a brief illness. She is survived by her brothers, Pete Matteucci and wife, Clara, Fred and Richard C. Matteucci, all of Albuquerque. Our "Tata" will be missed by her six nieces and one nephew; 13 great-nieces and -nephews; numerous cousins; family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Teresa. Norma was born in Albuquerque and graduated from St Mary's School and was a lifetime parishoner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She retired after 28 years from Mountain Bell as an Executive Secretary and enjoyed keeping in touch with fellow retirees through the Pioneer Club. Norma was also a proud member of the Italian Women's Club. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 6, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, with entombment to follow. Pallbearers will be John Matteucci, Bill Andrews, Ben Snow, Matthew Andrews, Warren Andrews, and Timothy Snow. MINZNER -- Pamela Burgy Minzner, 63, died Friday, August 31, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pamela is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard C. Minzner; two sons, Carl F. Minzner and wife, Yufeng Mao of St Louis, MO, Max J. Minzner and wife, Mary Tobler of New York, NY; her brother, Robert E. Burgy and wife, Sandra of Waynesville, OH and their son, Matthew as well as many other family members and friends. She was born in Meridian, MS to Eldred J. and Rita Branning Burgy, who preceded her in death. Justice Minzner will be remembered as the first female Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court and for her graciousness, intellect and fidelity to the law and will be deeply, deeply missed. She was a tireless jurist, a trailblazer for other women and a former UNM Law School professor widely admired by her students and colleagues. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Popejoy Hall at UNM preceded by private family interment services. MONROE -- Fern Monroe, 89 of Roswell, went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2007. Fern was born on August 6, 1918 in Ft. Cobb, OK to William H. Richardson and Edith Olmsted Richardson. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Sandia Memory Garden Cemetery in Albuquerque. Fern was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carolyn Kirk Spencer; sister, Wilma Richardson; and two brothers, Arthur and Theodore Richardson. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mather; grandchildren, Jason Shanley, Allen Shanley, Andrea Moreno and her husband, Forests, and Zakory Beeman; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Jade Moreno; son-in-law, David Spencer; brother, Clayton Richardson and his wife, Ima; and numerous nieces and nephew whom she was very close to and loved dearly. ORNELAS -- Theresa (Terrie) Alberta Ornelas, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 1, 2007. Theresa is survived by her mother, Kathy R. Tartaglia; her son, Dominique E. Ornelas Sr.; her grandson, Dominique E. Ornelas Jr.; her father, Alberto Ornelas; brother, Rubel Otero Jr.; sisters, Arlene Ornelas, Jacque Ornelas, Marie Rojas, and Jenika Lopez; her grandfather, Severo Ornelas; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by the father of her son, Lupe Garcia; her grandparents, Frances Ornelas, Theresa Reyes and Luis Tartaglia; her uncles, Louie Tartaglia and Felix Molinar; her Tia Cuca; cousins, Sugar Montez and Sharon Montez . Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Danny Sanchez and Pastor Joe Williams in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW. ORTIZ -- Charles J Ortiz, age 50, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 3, 2007. He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM and a member of the Catholic Community. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Trujillo-Ortiz. Charles is survived by his loving wife, of 33 years, Jennie Ortiz; his daughter, Bernadette Aragon and husband, Adrian; and son, Isaac Ortiz; six grandchildren; Jazmin, Angelica and Josiah Aragon, Lynee, Destiny, and Dominic Ortiz; and other step-grandchildren. Also Surviving are his sisters, Stella Olivas and husband, Dan, and Theresa Montoya and husband, Ray; numerous other beloved family members and a host of friends Charles will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched. Charles Worked with Commercial and Modular Furniture and was also a business owner for over 30 years. He was a proud Bulldog and graduate of AHS class of 1975. He married Juanita "Jennie" Ortiz, his middle school sweet heart in the 11th grade. Charles loved working on his yard. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family, friends and hunting partners, Isaac Ortiz, Adrian Aragon, Richard Jaramillo, and Raymond Montoya. He was also a very talented artist. Charles was always the "go to Person" and was always there for anyone who needed him. He grew up in the South Broadway area and was a long parishioner of St. Francis Catholic Church. During the fiestas of Our Lady of Guadalupe he would build a beautiful altar in honor of Our Lady in front of his grandmother. Nicolasa, and Aunt Andrea Trujillo home since he was a small child. Charles will lie in state today from 2:00 p.m. Till 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday September 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. also at St. Francis Catholic Church. Internment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Jaramillo, Mel Jaramillo, John Gonzalez, Jerome Trujillo, Scott Montoya, and Juan Analla. Honorary Bearers will be Ray Montoya, Dan Olivas, Pedro Gonzales, and Thomas Jimenez.
