DONALD -- John Donald, 79, lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, December 1, 2005. He was an Army Veteran and retired Operating Engineer. He is survived by his son, Danny Donald; and daughter, Leah Garris; along with three grandsons: Wesley Donald, Justin Donald, and Corby Garris, his wife, Olga, and great-grandson, Dylan; and granddaughter, Kelly Garris; sister, Betty Burrous and husband, Reeford; brother, Kenneth Donald and wife, Bonnie; and very close friends, Jim and Rita Cain. He will be cremated and Memorial Services will be at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005.

FINKENBERG -- Judi Leah Mollemet Finkenberg March 28, 1947 - November 29, 2005 A loving mother, long-time teacher, and foster parent, Judi passed away peacefully in her sleep. She will be honored Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at the Montezuma Elementary School gym. GOEBEL -- Diana Kinley Goebel, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, died on November 30, 2005 in her home following a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 10, 1933, to Daniel and Winifred Wilkinson Kinley. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Los Angeles and attended Mount St. Mary's College in Brentwood, CA. On October 3, 1953 she married Martin (Marty) Goebel in Los Angeles, CA. Diana is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years; son, Dan and wife, Deborah Goebel of Peoria, AZ; daughter, Sue and husband, Jon Heck of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Luticia Goebel of Peoria, Heather Goebel of Peoria, Jennifer Heck and Caitlin Heck of Glendale; great-grandchildren, Tres, Tahlia, and Tarynn Harrison of Peoria. Diana was preceded in death by her parents as well as her and Martin's daughter, Patricia. Diana was an active member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for 29 years and served as a member of the Parish Council in charge of the first Family Album; Extraordinary Minister of Communion; Lector; and Choir member. A tireless volunteer for many years, she enjoyed Scouts, hiking, travel, reading and writing poetry. Four trips down the Grand Canyon trails were highlights of her scouting days and trips to Rome, the Holy Land, Egypt, and Greece fed her love of archeology and history. Perhaps the most important and happy use of her time in later years was her travel with her husband in their RV and through that, involvement with the NM Good Sam Organization when she served as State Secretary and Historian. She was also active in the Zia Roamers and Computer Sams Chapters. Diana loved to laugh and did a lot of it. The sound of her laughter and her warm hugs will be missed by all. Rosary will be recited at French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd NE at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday December 6, 2005 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday December 7, 2005 at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. She will be buried in the family plot in West Point, NE in a private ceremony later. GONZALES -- Vincent Contreras Gonzales, age 86, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, was called to his heavenly home by the Lord, Thursday, December 1, 2005, while surrounded by his loving family. Vincent was a resident of Albuquerque; a proud Veteran whom served his country during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post #69, and the Disabled American Veterans. Vincent will always be remembered by his calm gentle soul, who will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. We will especially miss his singing and positive attitude. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Juanita Gonzales of the family home; his precious children, Isabel Garcia and husband, Ron, Dolores Gonzales, Theresa Morales and husband, Hector, Vincent "Steve" Gonzales, and David Gonzales; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, with two on the way; one brother, Jimmy Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. MAGNUSON -- Daniel Magnuson, our beloved son, father, and brother, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2005. He was born in Marshaltown, IA, April 3, 1959. He was employed by Albuquerque Cab Company. He is survived by his father, Ernest Magnuson of Albuquerque; twin daughters, Angela and Alyssa Hoskie of Anchorage, AK; and sisters, Barbara, Paula, Marie, Kathy and their families; and friends who loved him and will miss him greatly. Daniel was a loving and wonderful father who taught his children how to swim and play basketball and baseball. He took his daughters hiking every summer. Thank you, daddy, for being there for us. We love you so much. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 12701 Indian School NE. MARTINEZ -- Manuel (Mel) F. Martinez, 80, a lifelong resident of Cuba, NM; a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 2, 2005, as a result of an accident. He was a World War II Veteran, retired educator, lifetime rancher, and community leader. He was born January 1, 1925, to Emiliano and Teresita Martinez, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by Lucarita Martinez; and his brother, Roberto (Tony) Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma Martinez of the family home; five daughters and one son, Theresa Martinez, Albuquerque, Sharon and husband, Gilbert Duran, Bernalillo, NM, Shirley Martinez and Albert Jacquez, Rio Rancho, NM, Linda and husband, Jim Linnane, Taos, NM, Michael Martinez, Santa Fe, NM, and Carmen and husband ,Matt O'Hearn, Wichita Falls, TX; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice Luciani, Angie and husband, Rudy Grande, Roseanne Lemke, Bianca and husband, Joe Marti; brother, Arthur Martinez; sister-in-law, Esther Martinez; numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends who loved and will miss him dearly. Mel was a strong believer in God and Family. He was a hard worker who instilled great values in the many lives he touched. Known to many as "Uncle Mel", he influenced many people of all generations in the community. He dedicated many years of his life to serving on boards, such as the Jemez Mountain Electric Co-op, Statewide Electric Co-op Association, and Rio Puerco Livestock Association. Visitations will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Martinez will lie in state Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM, where a Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial place and time are pending and will be announced. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Duran, Albert Jacquez, Jim Linnane, Matt O'Hearn, Duane Archuleta, and Kevin Duran. Honorary bearers will be Louis Salazar, Leandro Padilla, Eustacio Casaus, Richard Atencio, Eustacio Chavez, Denny Herrera, Mark Martinez, Jay Snow, and Frank Vigil. POQUETTE -- David R. (Sid) Poquette, 66, passed away on December 2, 2005. Sid was born on May 21, 1939 in Iowa. David is survived by his loving wife, Carol; daughters, Robin Reynolds, Kacy DeMar, Jodi Beuning; sons, Mike Poquette, Jason Meyerhoff; sister, Sue Kolshrud; grandchildren, Ashley and Thomas Simbro, Tyler Beuning, Izaiah "Ike" DeMar, and Ariana Meyerhoff. Sid was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David. Mr. Poquette was employed by ABF Freight for many years. STOHL -- FRANCES V. STOHL, age 60, Sandia Labs Scientist. Survived by brothers, Louis Paul Stohl of Colorado and Frederick Louis Stohl of New Jersey. Frances was a well respected scientist at Sandia Labs for over 25 years specializing in the field of coal liquefaction. An avid sports participant in soccer, softball, track and field and biking. STOREY -- David Storey, age 77, a resident of Belen, NM peacefully passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque, NM at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005. He was born to the late Guadalupe and James Storey. David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He is survived by his daughter, Eileen Seeman and her husband, Harry of Edgewood, NM; son, Richard Storey and his wife, Glenda of Chicago, IL; sisters, Rita Zamora of Albuquerque, Isabel Sanchez of San Diego, CA, and Lupe Zamora and her husband, Emilio of Cheney, WA; brothers, Dennis Storey, Felipe Storey, and Roy P. Storey and his wife, Sara, all of Belen; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 35 nieces and nephews.
