BIDDLE -- Patricia Ann Biddle, a former resident of Mora, now residing in Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday November 1, 2005, at the age of 52. She was born on June 18, 1953 to the late Forrest Biddle and Pauline Romero Biddle. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandfather, Robert Romero; and children, Anthony and Sammy Anaya. Patricia is survived by her grandmother, Libradita Romero from Mora; brother, Bobby Biddle and Marcia Espinoza of Mora, Paul Gallegos and wife Stella of Cleveland, Edward Gallegos of Las Vegas; sister, Pauline Gallegos Lincoln and husband, Mark of Moriarty; also surviving are her uncles, Fermin Romero and wife, Virginia of Los Alamos, Rudy Romero and wife, Annabelle of El Carmen, Willie Romero and wife, Olivia of El Rancho, Fred Romero and wife, Corrine of Mora, Edmond Romero of Mora, Arthur Romero and wife, Priscilla of Las Vegas, Julian Romero of Mora; aunts, Geneva Barela and husband, Lazaro of Mora, Virginia Romero of Mora; nieces, Pauline Torres and husband, Robert, Janice Biddle and Roland, Jessica and Victoria Gallegos, Julie Martinez and husband, Kenny; nephews, Bobby Biddle Jr. and Pual Gallegos Jr. and wife, Jennifer. BLACK -- ALFRED B. Mr. Alfred B. Black, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 30, 2005. Alfred is the beloved husband to Mrs. Florence Black, married for 48 years. Alfred is also survived by his four children, Anthony Black and wife, Mary Ann, Veronica Stepp and husband, Dwayne, Vincent Black and Rick Austin and Martin T. Black; five sisters, Lillian Black and husband, Jimmy, Irene Romero, Consie Griego and husband, Sisto, Rosemary Saiz and husband, Foley, Margaret Zubiate and husband, Arthur; one brother, Gilbert Black; eight grandchildren, Joe Michael Fraley and wife, Christina, Jenara Furness and husband, D.J., Gary Fraley and wife, Kara, Brittonie King and husband, Logan, Kolbe Fraley, Eric Alfred Fraley, Alex Black and Brianna Black; two great-grandchildren, Avery Fraley and Jenna Fraley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Jenaro and Trinidad Black; a sister, Rose Garcia; and a brother-in-law, Luis Garcia. Alfred was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army. A visitation for Alfred will be Friday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Ralph Ortiz. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow with Military Honors in the Veguita Cemetery, Veguita, New Mexico. CAMPBELL -- Douglas A. Campbell, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 to be with the Lord after a long illness. He was born February 9, 1925 in Cripple Creek, CO to A.J. and Kathryn Dowling Campbell and is survived by his loving wife, Carmie of the family home; son, Michael V. Campbell and wife, Lynda; grandson, Douglas Campbell and wife, Arishanda and their children, Ethan and Morgan of Longmont, CO; mother-in-law, Beatrice Rankin in Good Samaritan Village in Socorro; and brother-in-law, Nicholas A. Smallridge of Socorro. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ivan Campbell, and his grandson, Mitchell Campbell. Doug, a man of many interests, was an amateur magician, a private pilot, a jokester, a photographer, and an avid golfer enjoying many years on the golf course with his buddies. He was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 316, Cripple Creek, CO and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him. He conducted himself at all times with honor, integrity, and high standards. His word was his bond. Doug served in the Army during World War II in the China-Burma-India Campaign. He subsequently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with degrees in architecture and engineering. Doug began his career as an architect in Venezuela working for a major oil company. He returned to the United States and subsequently, with Ray Chambers, started the architectural, engineering, and planning firm of Chambers and Campbell which later grew to Chambers, Campbell, Isaacson, and Chaplin. Doug was the principal architect in the firm, a member of AIA, and under his direction many outstanding buildings throughout New Mexico and parts of Arizona were designed. He will be especially remembered for his work on educational buildings for Eastern New Mexico University, Western New Mexico University, and the Navajo Community College at Tsaile, AZ. Doug's legacy also includes the development of many respected architects who trained under his guidance and tutelage. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Presbyterian Hospice for their loving care. Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. HANSON -- Darlene B. Hanson, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005. She is survived by her sons, Brian David Hanson and Douglas Clark Hanson, both of Albuquerque; daughter, Cynthia Diane Haley and husband, Kelly of Front Royal, VA; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Keith Brack and wife, Glenda of Otis, KS. Before Darlene retired in Albuquerque, she worked as an X-ray technician in the states of Kansas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Texas. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Darlene was active with the Albuquerque Senior Citizens Center and was the Senior Member of the Highland Neighborhood Watch Program for three years and remained an active member. HISEY -- Paul J. Hisey, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005. His wife of 53 years, Dorothy Ruth Hisey, preceded him in death in 1993. He is survived by his four children, David P. Hisey, M.D. and his wife, Lexa, of Tucson, AZ, Douglas J. Hisey of Las Cruces, NM, Joanne L. Achen of Las Cruces, NM, and Allan J. Hisey and his wife, Janet, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Todd Hisey and wife, Laura, Brad Hisey, Carrie Achen, Scott Achen, Lauren Ogle and husband, Justin, and Andrew Hisey; and great-granddaughter, Alexa Hisey. Paul was born on December 24, 1910 in Terre Haute, IN. He attended Indiana State University and was employed at Hulman Company in Terre Haute, rising to the position of company cashier. Paul and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1950 to pursue Paul's lifetime interest, residential construction and remodeling. After retirement as a home builder and general contractor, he spent many years as a compliance inspector for the VA and FHA. JENNINGS -- Roy L. Jennings, Jr., age 61, passed away on October 31, 2005. Roy was born in Hattiesburg, MS and moved to Albuquerque at the age of 3. Upon graduating from Albuquerque High in 1963, he attended New Mexico State and a junior college in California and then served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Jennings worked with General Electric for 38 years before retiring in 2004. He leaves behind his wife, Wessie Jennings; three children, Roy Jennings III and wife, Debbie, Sharmaine and Percy; sisters, Cora Lindsey, Nella Worrell, Rosie Jennings Williams, Etta Smith and husband, Phillip; and brother, Calvin Jennings. KERBLESKI -- Dorothy (Rivard) Kerbleski passed away peacefully on October 30, 2005. Dorothy moved to Carestone Assisted Living in Albuquerque in 2002. She was a member of Risen Savior Parish. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2000 and is survived by her nine children, three here in Albuquerque, Maryjane Restani, Martin and Gerard; John (San Francisco), Joe (Midland, MI), Rosemary (Bangor, ME); and three children in Bay City, MI, Patrick, Francis, Jr., and Beatrice. KIRSCH -- Robert J. Kirsch, 81, born on Sunday, June 15, 1924 in New York City, graduated this life on Wednesday, November 3, 2005, the feast day of San Martin de Perres. Fr. Bob is the founding Pastor of the Santuario de San Martin Church. His parents were of German and Irish immigrants. Fr. Bob attended Catholic grammar school in Queens Village, New York, public high school in Penna, and graduated from Scranton University Prep School in 1941. In 1942, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp (Officer's Training School); and was exempted for college training in theology at Georgetown University, Woodstock, Maryland. From 1944 to 1948, he did post graduate in Math and Physics; Classics: Latin and Greek; Hebrew; and Clinical Psychology. Fr. Bob moved in 1949 to Yukon River, Alaska to instruct in the Holy Cross Mission (Jesuit Order) and from 1949 to 1952 lived in Alaska, Washington, and Idaho. He returned to Theological training in 1953 in Missouri, Benedictine Order. On January 6, 1957, he was ordained to the Roman Catholic Priesthood in Gallup, New Mexico for his service to Arizona and New Mexico parishes and to indigenous people in the U.S. and Mexico. He was the Auxiliary chaplain, U.S. Air Force, Cadet Spiritual Formation, Civil Air Patrol in 1957. He served in New Mexico Parishes until his retirement at the age of 70 in 1994. Fr. Bob joined the Albuquerque Del Norte Rotary Club in 1992. He has been Rotary district Chaplain 5520 since 2002. He has also been a member of the following organizations: New Mexico conference of Churches; ecumenical dialogue since 1965, and the Jewish-Roman Catholic dialogue since 1966. His involvement has included the San Martin Flying Mission - St. Jude Express which brings medical flights to Mexico and Guatemala since 1962, Albuquerque City Mayor's committee on education, Alb. Coalition consultant on City Neighborhood Associations, and working with street youth and gangs. He is the founder of New Mexico Low Rider Association in 1982. The Rotary Del Norte Foundation Fellowship is named after Fr. Bob Kirsch because he is the epitome of "Service Before Self". Fr. Bob is survived by his nephews, Jeff Kirsch of Boulder, CO, Greg Kirsch of Monsey, NY, Edmund Kirsch of Valley Cottage, NY, and John Kirsch of Hillcrest, NY; nieces, Col. Adrienne Frazer Darling of Alexandria, VA, Cynthia Nuttall of Albuquerque, NM, and Elaine Kirsch of South Nyack, NY; and special friend, Edwina Tabares. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kirsch and his nephew, Ronald Kirsch. Memorial viewing will be Sunday, November 6, 2005, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8321 Camino San Martin SW. "As per our customs" an all night Velorio or Vigil will be held at his home, following the viewing. Memorial Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper NW. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 3:30 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with a reception to follow at the basement of the school. KREHBIEL -- Albert Jacob "Jay" Krehbiel, a loving husband, father, and best friend, passed away October 27, 2005. Jay will be greatly missed by his wife and children. Son of Adolph and Laura Krehbiel, Jay was born July 2, 1934 in Clayton, NM. He served his country proudly as a Marine in the Korean War. Survived by his daughter, Lorri Krehbiel; son, Austin Krehbiel; wife, Jolene Krehbiel; brother, Phil Krehbiel; sister, Ann Oldham; and three grandchildren. Jay was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Reed Krehbiel; and son, Andrew Krehbiel. KUHL -- Shirley Ann Kuhl, USAF Lt. Col. Ret., age 73, of Albuquerque, NM and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, August 28, 2005, at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Kulakowski; mother, Angelina “Nellie” Balionis Kulakowski and sister, Rita McCluskey. Shirley was born on the South Side of Pittsburgh, PA, on July 28, 1932. She attended St. Casimir School throughout her school years and graduated from the high school in 1950. She was a faithful alumnus ever since. She went on to attend the South Side Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated in 1953. Shirley worked at the South Side Hospital after graduation. She entered active duty in the Air Force on April 7, 1959. She served in various locations in the US and overseas: Missouri, England, France, Ohio, Clovis, NM, Germany, Phoenix, AZ., Philippines, and Louisiana. She retired from active duty July 31, 1982. Shirley was a member of the Retired Air Force Nurses Association, St. Casimir Alumni Association and Volunteered at the VA Hospital and Barrett House in Albuquerque. She was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. A Memorial Scripture Services will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2005 followed by Full Military Honors by the Kirtland Air Force Base Honor Guard. MCKENZIE -- Shan O'Shea McKenzie May 9, 1948 - October 30, 2005 Shan O'Shea McKenzie, 57, of Mesa, AZ passed away from this life into eternal life on Sunday, October 30, 2005. He was born May 9, 1948 to Paul and Ila McKenzie in Albuquerque, NM. He grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Rio Grande High School. He also graduated from New Mexico State College in Las Cruces, NM. He married Shirley McKenzie in September 12, 1968. Together they had four loving children; Shanna, Cindy, Tonia, and Joe. He moved his family to Farmington from Albuquerque in 1976. There he worked at the power plants and as a rig welder. While living in Farmington raising his family he loved to coach. He was a YAFL football coach even before his own son was old enough to play the sport. He also loved to coach fast pitch softball. He liked the sport so much and was so involved that he became the president for a term. Shan touched many people through his coaching. Shan loved his family more than anything. He was very proud of his kids and grandkids. He loved to spend time with them and play with them. He loved them more than words can ever express! He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was able to make many people smile no matter what their mood was. While living in Farmington he had made many great friends. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley McKenzie of Mesa, AZ; daughters, Shanna Jeffris of Pampa, TX, Cindy McKenzie of Mesa, AZ, Tonia Watkins and husband, Eddy of Bloomfield, NM, and Joe McKenzie and wife Cherie of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Chris McKenzie, Spencer McKenzie, and Ali McKenzie of Gilbert, AZ, Tyler Unsell of Mesa, AZ, Ripp Watkins, Breanna Watkins, and Chad Watkins of Bloomfield, NM, and Kenzie Jeffris of Pampa, TX. SIMON -- Lt. Col. John A. Simon (USAF Ret) died Sunday, October 30, 2005 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was 82 and a veteran pilot of WWII and the Korean conflict. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet in 1940 at the age of 17 after receiving flight training in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968. He made his home in Albuquerque and Belen from 1966 to 1996 after his retirement at Kirtland AFB. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Doris J. Simon and is survived by his second wife, Florence Simon of Grand Rapids, MI; his sons, Michael Simon of Laguna Beach, CA, Jeffrey Simon of Herndon, VA; his daughters, Ellen Ross and her husband, Gary Ross of Austin, TX, Mary Keeling of Albuquerque, and Susan Simon of Fort Defiance, AZ. His grandchildren include Leslie Ross and Gary Ross, Jr. of Austin, TX, Stacey Jonas-Keeling and Benjamin Jonas-Keeling of San Diego, CA, CW3 Robert Gibbs of El Paso, TX, Natasha Simon of Laguna Beach, CA, and Michelle Simon, Mary Simon, and Kristin Simon of Springfield, VA. TORRES -- GEORGE R. Mr. George R. Torres, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 1, 2005 peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family. Mr. Torres is the beloved husband, to Mrs. Gloria Torres, married for 48 years.
