GONZALES -- Mr. Albert M. Gonzales, 56, born in Cubero, New Mexico and long time resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 29, 2003. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Frances Gonzales; two daughters, Lori Alderete and husband, Gilbert, and Gina Gonzales and fiance, Ramon Caballero; one son, Albert Gonzales; one sister, Nora Maestas and husband, Joe; two brothers, Bruce Gonzales and wife, Tina, and Margarito Gonzales Jr; six grandchildren, Steven, Gilbert Jr., Nicole, Joseph, Ramon Jr., and Marisabel; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. "We'll always love you, and you will always be in our hearts." A visitation for Mr. Gonzales will be Wednesday morning from 10:30am until 11:00am at Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am officiated by Deacon Manuel Montoya. Interment will follow at Cubero Cemetery, Cubero, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Tim Araiza, Nick Candelaria, Bernie Chavez Jr., Gino Gonzales, Ronnie Romero, and Steven Fisher. JARVIS -- Roger B. (1928-2003) A great void has been left in our lives with the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Roger B. Jarvis (Popsy), who left us on December 25, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Bertha Jarvis. His distinguished military career included service in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and service in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his retirement from the military, he worked as a computer analyst in the Information Systems and Technology Division of General Dynamics in San Diego, California. Several years later, while still employed at General Dynamics, he met his loving wife, Connie, whom he lovingly referred to as "Mi Cielo". After retiring from public employment, he bought an RV and he and his wife set off to see the entire USA, plus a great many sights outside the country, as well. Although RV-ing soon became a passion, his greatest passion was singing with a barbershop chorus. He was a member of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA) and sang with the San Diego Sun Harbor Chorus in San Diego and with the New MexiChords in Albuquerque. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite in San Diego, California; and, the Masonic Temple Lodge #6 and Shrine Ballut Abyad Temple, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Besides his wife Connie, he is survived by his daughter, Becky and husband, Robert; his brother, Kenneth Jarvis; his stepchildren, Connie Martinez-Goodwin and husband, Robert, Agatha Martinez- Garrison, Louella Martinez-Gonzales, Tim Martinez, and Pamela Morton and husband, Richard; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 02, 2004 in the Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal S.E. The Reverend Dave Blackwell officiating.

KNIGHT -- Joe T. Knight, Age 76, passed into the Lord's hands on December 28, 2003. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois O. Knight, daughter Beverly L. Schifani and husband Joseph G. Schifani, granddaughter, Faith Schifani, son Brian D. Knight and wife Claudia A. Knight all of Albuquerque. Additional survivors include Joe's younger brother William M. Knight and wife Glyneth A. Knight of Lubbock, TX, as well as numerous cousins. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Bertram D. Knight and Gertrue E. Knight, both of Childress, TX. He was born in Childress, TX on January 21, 1927. He was raised in Childress, TX and served in the U. S. Army during World War II as well as the Air Force Reserve for several years following the war. In 1948, Joe relocated to Albuquerque, NM and he retired from the U. S. Department of Energy in 1983, having completed 35 years of service as a Quality Electrical Engineer. Following his retirement from DOE, Joe joined Sandia Consultants, Inc. as a Consultant and he traveled extensively throughout the United States in both of his careers. In 1948, Joe also became licensed as an Amateur Radio Operator. He was highly active and dedicated to Amateur Radio from that time forward. He held the Amateur Radio Call Sign of W5PDY which he referred to phonetically as W5 "Pretty Darn Young" and his wife Lois presently holds the call sign of KC5CXO. Joe was extremely involved in New Mexico Search and Rescue operations and served as the New Mexico Section Manager for the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) for 27 years. An old-time member of the Sandia Base Radio Club and the Albuquerque Amateur Radio Club, Joe assisted in organizing the Amateur Radio Caravan Club and was its first Emergency Caravan Master. He also helped establish the Upper Rio FM Society, having served as President and Board Member. Joe was a Charter Member of the Albuquerque Chapter of the Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA) as well as the Albuquerque DX Association and a Life Member of QCWA, ARRL and the Upper Rio FM Society. He was a member of numerous Amateur Radio Clubs and Nets throughout the Southwest and had a special interest in the New Mexico Radio Collectors Club. Joe was a pioneer in the creation of the Atomic Museum. He served as Vice President/Board Member of the ALO Employees Federal Credit Union. For the past 55 years Joe was a member of Central United Methodist Church having served as a board member and usher. He was also a Life Member of Hiram Lodge #13 A.F. & A.M, served as a board member and Rainbow Dad for Albuquerque Chapter #20 of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, and, for the past several years, served as a volunteer at the Albuquerque VA Hospital. Joe Knight truly left the rest of us a legacy, mainly, "serve others before yourself" with his philanthropic desire to assist others. MCLEAN -- Merle McLean, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1936 died on Monday, December 29, 2003. Merle was a loving mother and a devoted Christian. She was a member of the Northeast Church of Christ. She preceded in death by husband Jack; two brothers; one sister; and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include one daughters, Linda Williams; one son, Jack McLean and wife, Mary, all of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Wynell Ginbey of Albuquerque NM, and Margie White and husband, Jim, of CA; five grandchildren, DeeDee Jones and husband, Paul, Tim McLean, Michelle Garcia and husband Hector, Kelly Kapela, Sandie Esther and husband, Nick; six great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2003 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Services will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2003 in the chapel of Fitzgerald & Sons Funeral Directors, with Mr. John Phillis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. MOORE -- Russell Moore, 72, an Albuquerque lawyer for over 45 years, died December 19, 2003 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. REAMY -- Kenneth Wilson Reamy passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, at his home in Capitan with Carol, his wife of 49 years and loving daughter, Elissa with him. He was born June 18, 1936 in Dredell, Texas to Woody Maudane Wilson Reamy and Sylvanius Elmer Reamy. Kenneth grew up in Wickett, Texas and graduated from Monahans High School in 1954. On July 14, 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Brink of Monahans. Kenneth worked in the west Texas oilfield as a roughneck and driller. In 1959 he was called into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country. Kenneth and Carol moved to Capitan in 1964. In 1977 Kenneth and Hollis O. Cummins formed Reamy Drilling Company. Kenneth drilled water wells all over the state of New Mexico. He was a member of the National Water Assoc. and served as president of the State Water Well Assoc. for three terms. He was named "State Driller of the Year" in 1984. Through the years Kenneth gave back to his community in many ways. He was active in the Lions Club. His welding skill were utilized to construct a steeple for the First Baptist Church and the stock pens at the Lincoln County Fairground along with other community projects. He proudly participated in restoring the Veterans Park. When the Smokey Bear State Park was a vacant lot, Kenneth donated countless hours of labor to make a dream a reality. Kenneth received his greatest enjoyment from working hard, providing for his family and helping other people. He had the highest of integrity and was man of his word. He made life fun with his wit and humor. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol and his daughter Elissa Reamy of Odessa, Texas. His uncles and aunts, Danny and Bobbie Wilson of Odessa, Dorothy Wilson of Clifton, Texas, James and Gladys Wilson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Helen Reamy Horton of California and his very special friends. Due to health reasons, Kenneth retired in 1993. He fought a long and hard battle with leukemia for the thirteen years. A special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque who provided him treatment and loving care with tireless dedication. Our appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Home Health and Hospice of Lincoln County. The family request memorials be made to the V.A. Hospital in Albuquerque and Home Health and Hospice of Lincoln County. Graveside services will be held in Monahans, Texas at a later date.
