Avila -- Tony A. Avila, was born October 2, 1924, and passed away December 27, 2002. Tony is survived by his wife, Isabel Avila; sons, Ray Avila and wife Kina, Robert Avila and wife Feliz, and Eddie Avila; daughters, Linda Buckner and husband Henry, Priscilla Mullins and husband Rick; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; many other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Tony served proudly in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Saratoga. Services will be held at San Jose Catholic Parish, 2401 Broadway SE. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Coppock -- Don L. Coppock, Sr., 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, died Friday, December 27, 2002. He is survived by his sons, Don L. Coppock, Jr. of Belen and Vern C. Coppock of Albuquerque; daughters, Janet Chavez and husband, Henry of Bosque Farms, Beatrice Miles, Esther Evans and husband, Don, all of Albuquerque, Laverna McCloskey and husband, David of Bosque Farms and Ruth Soflin and husband, Craig of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Richards of Goleta, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and brothers, Keith and Fred Coppock. Don was Labor Commissioner of New Mexico from 1959-1962. He was a life member of B.P.O.E. #408 in Las Vegas, NM, and a Santa Fe Railroad conductor for 21 years. Don was also state director of the Good Sams Club from 1989-1990 and involved with the Zia Roamers and Duke City R.V. Club. Johnson -- Jim C. Johnson, Jr., 48, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, died on Friday, December 27, 2002. Jim was a beloved husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol Johnson; son, David Johnson; daughter, Rebecca Johnson, all of Albuquerque; nephews, Jeremy and Colin Johnson and niece, Nicole Johnson and her daughter, Isabelle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, father, Jim, Sr, and both brothers, Steve and Greg Johnson. Jim worked for Petroleum Development Corporation for 25 years, specializing in oil and gas exploration. Much of his work had been in Southeastern NM, West Texas and as far north as Wyoming. Jim enjoyed many hobbies with his family including running, boxing, camping, boating, fishing and skiing. He boxed Golden Gloves for many years and was the light-heavyweight Toughman Champion in 1985. He was known as"Gentleman Jim" in the Albuquerque boxing community. After retiring from fighting he coached boxing at the South San Jose Community Center. He graduated from Sandia High School in 1973 and UNM in 1977. He was a longtime member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, with Pastor Larry Moss officiating. Kelly -- Robert P. Kelly. The Kelly family is saddened to announce the death of Robert P. Kelly, beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. Bob's gifts to us have been many. His virtue and generosity, his consistency and skill, his profound love of God, wife, family, and friends--through these Bob has inspired us all. Those of us who looked to Bob as a source of strength know how his presence will be missed and how his spirit will continue to thrive in everything we do. Robert Parker Kelly was born on July 17, 1929 in Highland Park, IL to Tom and Ita Kelly. A resident of Albuquerque since 1943, Bob graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended The University of New Mexico. For over 40 years, he worked at Sandia National Laboratories, where his duties included department manager of both labor relations and security; he retired in January 1992. Bob was an avid Notre Dame football fan and an avid golfer who once won the Kelly Golf Invitational, an annual event he relished. He was a respected member of Annunciation Parish for over 40 years, where he acted as a lector, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of both the Social Concerns Ministry and of the Companions on the Journey. The great joy of Bob's life was his large and devoted family, which includes his wife Dolly, his seven children and their spouses (Bob and Barbara Kelly; Jane and Jim Blankenship; Mike and Marianne Kelly; Pat Kelly and Lori Hunt; Brian and Julie Kelly; Dan and Suzanne Kelly; Matt and Marianthe Kelly), his fifteen grandchildren (Jennifer and husband Phil Lewis; Crystal, David, and Jonathan Kelly; Sarah, Sam, Mary, and Leah Blankenship; Meghan Kelly; Sophie, Aidan, and Catherine Kelly; Camille Kelly; Jane and Claire Kelly), and his two great-grandchildren (Arwyn and Alhana Lewis). To his wife Dolly, Bob was a loving husband and friend for over 52 years; to his children and grandchildren, he was a model of warmth and integrity; and to all who knew him, Bob Kelly was a man of intelligence, sensitivity, and fine company. Bob is also survived by his brother Jim and his wife Theresa, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom. Koehler -- Rev. Robert L. Koehler Jr., 84, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away December 24, 2002. His wife of 60 years, Florence C. Koehler, passed away in November, 2002. He is survived by daughter, Kristin Koehler of Brooklyn NY; sons, Robert, III of Buffalo NY, John of Noble Ok, and Richard of Aurora CO; and seven grandchildren. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of their Father's friends for the many kindnesses shown to him over the past months. They would also like to thank Mr. Scott Porter of Zia Hospice for the care and compasion he showed to Robert and his children in his final days. Rev. Koehler was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Lutheran Seminary at Philadelphia. He served calls in Harrisburg PA, Buffalo NY, New York City, and Denver CO, before coming to the Albuquerque area in 1977. He was an active member of All Saints' Lutheran Church and of the Sandoval County Historical Society. A Memorial Service will be held early in 2003. Martinez -- Marie Martinez, 53, died Friday, December 27, 2002. She was born in Albuquerque and moved to Tijeras in 1999. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bernie Martinez of Tijeras, NM; son, Domonic Martinez of Albuquerque; daughters, Veronica Gonzales and husband, James of Albuquerque, and Guadalupe Cooksey and husband, James of Moriarty, NM; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Manuel Salinas, Joe Salinas and wife, Carol, Bobby Salinas and wife, Doris all of Albuquerque, Jimmy Salinas and wife, Sue of Sebastopol CA, and Johnny Salinas of CA; sisters, Betty Neel and husband, Dick of Albuquerque, Sally Salinas and husband, Miguel of Groverland, CA, Theresa Hulette and husband, Dave, and Marie Zamora and husband, Anthony, all of Rio Rancho, NM. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Vigil Salinas and her mother-in-law, Margaret Martinez. She was a beloved wife, loving mother and proud, adored grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a CCD teacher for five years and her hearts desire was to protect the unborn. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, singing and dancing. Matijevich -- Kathryn (Katie) Matijevich, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Friday, December 27, 2002. She is survived by her nieces, Andrea L. Sandoval of Albuquerque, and Lori M. Trujillo and husband Anthony P. of Gallup, NM; great-nephew, Patrick A. Trujillo; great-nieces, Allyssa M. Trujillo, and Marina M. Sandoval; and brother in law, Dan M. Imrisek. Katie was preceded in death by her mother, Katrina Matijevich and two sisters, Ann Matijevich and Marge Imrisek. She retired from Sandia National Labs. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Robison -- Mary Alice Robison, 87,a three year resident of Moriarty, NM, formally of Farmington, NM, passed away Saturday December 28, 2002, in Moriarty, NM. Mrs. Robison was born April 24, 1915, in Cuervo, NM, to Cloud J. & Susana (Killian) Mitchell SR. She married Maurice A. Robison SR October 1, 1932, he has preceded her in death. Mrs. Robison was a florist and served as the president of the New Mexico Florist Association. While living in Moriarty she attended and was a member of the East Mountain Assembly of God Church. She is survived by two sons Tony & Wife Jackie Robison of Flora Vista, NM, Bert & Wife Cindy of Belen, NM; one daughter Irene Bushnell of Moriarty, NM; 18 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 31 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Robison was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice Robison SR; daughter Bette Ritchey; twin sons Raymond Lloyd & Roy Lee Robison. Mrs. Robison will lie in state Monday December 30, 2002-2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 31, 2002-9:30 AM at the East Mountain Assembly of God Church in Moriarty, NM with Pastor Larry Cox Officiating. Salas -- Mrs. Eufelia C. Salas, 96, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 29, 2002. Mrs. Salas is survived by three daughters, Bessie Purcella and husband, Lawrence, Presy Sanchez and husband, Tony , Frances Pohl and husband, Julian; two sons, Reyes Salas and wife, Mary, Erminio Salas and wife, Marie; one sister, Ramona Salas; twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Rosita Chavez; her husband, Conrado Salas; her son, Benny Salas; her daughter, Carmelita Salas. Mrs. Salas was a member of the Catholic Church. Smid -- James Smid, 50, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, December 26, 2002. He was born in Albuquerque on April 5, 1952. James graduated from Valley High School and attended NMSU. He was employed as a Railroad engineer for Berlington Northern Railroad at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; and brother, Vernon. He leaves to morn his passing his wife, Odelia; mother, Frances; two brothers, Ronald and Randy; one niece, Nicole Smid; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Tillman -- Harriet Belle Tillman, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947 died December 25, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Celeste Forster; two brothers, Fred and Mark; and husbands, Edward Charles (Mac) McNeely and John E. Tillman. She is survived by her daughter, Therese Moore and her husband, Douglas Moore; and grandsons, Timothy and Peter of Albuquerque; cousins, Celeste Lemke of Silver City, Ada Jane Cross and husband, Ben of Mesa, AZ Don Forster and wife, Doris and Fern Courtney of Denver CO. Harriet was born August 25, 1923 in Denver CO. She grew up in Hurley and Silver City, NM and married E.C. McNeely in Nov. 1947. They had one daughter, Terrie. Following Mac's death in 1966, Harriet returned to work as a secretary for A.P.S. serving at Madison, Cleveland and Monroe Middle Schools. She retired in 1983 to become a full-time mother and grandmother as well as a surrogate mother for many of the friends that she had made while working at A.P.S. In 1988 Harriet married John Tillman. Together they traveled extensively and spoiled their grandsons. Harriet was an avid Bridge player. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church and was active in many church activities. Following John Tillman's death in 1993 Harriet became reacquainted with an old friend Lloyd Hughes who was a dear companion for the last several years. Together they RV'd to various locales around the U.S. and into Mexico. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Dec. 30, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Castillo Wilson presiding. A reception at the church will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Storehouse, Women's Community Association, or Christ United Methodist Church.

Trainor -- Kathryn Felicitas Trainor, 83, was raised in Albuquerque and died Thursday, December 26, 2002. She is survived by her husband of more than 58 years, Lt. Col. (Rtd) Thomas G. Trainor of Albuquerque; sons, Thomas G. Trainor of San Diego, CA, Robert H. Trainor of Herndon, VA, Richard L. Trainor of Philadelphia, PA; and 4 grandchildren, Christopher R. Trainor, Mathew N. Trainor, Erin E. Trainor, and Sarah Trainor, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Kathryn graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1937, and attended UNM. She was a secretary for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service where she received outstanding performance awards. She was a member of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Catholic Daughters of America, and the 455th Bomb Squadron Assoc. Wives Club. She enjoyed national and international travel, cooking, listening to country and big band music. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 30, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, with Deacon Al McLane officiating. Walker -- Daryl Glen Walker, 34, born May 7, 1968 in St. Paul, MN, died Friday, December 27, 2002. He is survived by his parents, William Hugh and Cheryl-Lynn Walker of Albuquerque; sisters, Karen Delewerk of Albuquerque, Paula Filseth of Los Gatos, CA; brother Randal Walker of Milpitas, CA; one niece; two nephews; and his dear friend and mentor, Dr. Jerry Rasco of Albuquerque. Daryl attended Onate Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Manzano High School. He was an electrician by trade. As a child he loved water sports (diving and water polo), which translated in his adult life to a love for fishing, boating, traveling, and the outdoors. As a teen he was a musician and sang in Albuquerque Boy Choir and Albuquerque Light Opera productions. He is remembered by his friends and family as an energetic, compassionate, caring person with a boundless curiosity that drove him to live life to the fullest. Friends may visit to say their last goodbyes at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, December 30, 2002 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. After the visitation, Daryl will be cremated and his cremated remains will be taken to his favorite fishing place. Zmolek -- Charles R. Zmolek, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Thursday, December 26, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Georgiana"Ginni" of Albuquerque; sons, Martin Zmolek and wife, Susan of Denver, CO and Wesley Zmolek and wife, Carol of Freemont, CA; daughters, Lilianne Hurell of Sierra Vista, AZ, Amy Sloan and husband, Daniel of Oak Ridge, TN, and Holly Kienlen and husband, Kent of Powell, WY; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Zmolek was in the US Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked with radios and radar. In the early 1950's, he worked on the DEW Line with defense projects in Alaska and Canada. He was Senior Plant Engineer at Bell Labs, designing clean rooms for computer chips in the 1970's and until his retirement in 1984. He was active in his church, serving a mission in 1989 in Poland. Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12701 Indian School Rd. NE, with Bishop Jim Luke, conducting.
