Mrs. Blea was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnie R. Fleming -- John S. Fleming Jr., age 88, passed away June 7, 2001 in Albuquerque. He was born August 21, 1912. He was a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Violet Fleming of Albuquerque; one daughter, Joan Kosel and husband, Edward of Albuquerque; two sons, Jack Fleming and wife, Josephine of Santa Fe, and Richard Fleming and wife, Patty of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. John was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday June 11, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Services will be in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Neustifter Officiant. Gillis -- Edward G. Gillis, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died on June 5, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Velma T. Gillis; daughter, Donna O¯Connor and husband, Tom of Great Falls, MT; sons, James Gillis and wife, Joanne of El Paso, TX, Michael Gillis of El Paso, TX, John Gillis and wife, Candace of Santa Fe, and Richard Gillis and wife, Christina of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kurt O¯Connor, Tara Demick and husband, Mark, Anne Dimond and husband, Sean, all of Seattle, WA and Timothy O¯Connor of San Diego, CA, and Patrick Gillis; great-grandchildren, Stasia and Emiley Demick. Edward was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 16, 1912. He and Velma were married in Pontiac, Michigan on August 8, 1936 and moved to Albuquerque in 1949. Edward was a founder of Acoma Corporation in 1952. He retired in 1984. Services will be Monday, June 11, 2001, 9:30a.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE. Harris -- Charles J. Harris, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, loving, warm and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, died Thursday, June 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Joann Harris; sons, David Harris and wife, Linda, all of Albuquerque and John Harris and wife, Fay of Chama; sister, Berniece Davis and husband, Ken of Naples, FL; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Charles was a graduate of Purdue University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi and he played varsity football. He was a member of Hoffmantown Church and Kiwanis. Charles was a longtime volunteer of New Mexico Museum of Natural History and former board member of Heights YMCA. He was a retired Engineer from the New Mexico State Highway Department. Charles enjoyed traveling, Lobo basketball and volunteer work in his retirement. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Hatfield -- Frank Lyle Hatfield died at his home early Monday morning from complications stemming from Juvenile Diabetes. He was born in 1963 in Albuquerque and graduated from West Mesa High School in 1980. He attended college in Portales; went to live in New York State for three years returning to attend UNM. Frank played the violin as well as sang in school functions. He leaves his mother, Judy Hatfield; father, Billy Hatfield; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield; his maternal grandmother, Margaret L. Gantert, all of Albuquerque; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Maez -- Cecilia D. Maez, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1974 died, Thursday, June 7, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Rolanda Maez and husband, Richard Mondragon of Albuquerque; son, Raymond Dean Maez and wife, Robin of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathaniel Richard Mondragon and Reece Jamison Maez; sisters, Espy Enriquez and husband, Ruben, Irene Duron and Estella Duron all of El Paso, TX; brothers, Juan Duron, Jr. and wife, Gloria, of El Paso, TX, Luis Duron and wife, Juanita of El Paso, TX, Ruben Duron and wife, Martha of California, Angel Duron, Mike Duron and Ramon Duron and wife, Basilisa all of El Paso, TX; in-laws, Manuel and Lala Sanchez of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Maez; and parents, Juan and Candelaria Duron. She retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance after 30 years and also worked at Walgreens. Cecilia enjoyed traveling & gardening, spending time with her family and friends. She loved life and lived it to the fullest and will be greatly missed. Mitchell -- Billy Ray passed away after a short illness May 25, 2001. Bill served his country numerous times, first in the Navy and then the Army. Bill was also an Albuquerque Police Officer, enlisting 2-1-65 and retiring 3-30-84. He was assigned to patrol detective, photographer and the bomb squad. Billy Ray was born in Oak Forest, AR on April 28, 1931 and although he lived in New Mexico most of his life his love for the south ran deep. His love for the blues, Southern fried catfish, fishing and playing his trumpet will always be remembered. Bill returned back to the South buying his dream home on a lake. Billy is survived by his children, daughter, Darlene Alvardo; and granddaughters, Brianne and Victoria; son, Kenneth Mitchell and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Heather, Michael and Brian; son, Gerald Mitchell and wife, Corinne; grandchildren, Crystal, Gerald, Matthew and Melissa; youngest son, Jeffrey Mitchell. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Alene Mitchell; nephews, James and Chuck Mitchell; nieces, Gloria, Sherri and Katie. Billy Ray will be honored with a Memorial Mass at St. Thomas of Aquinas June 11, 2001, 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty. The children of Bill would like to thank the APD for their help especially John Kynor, Jinxie Jones, Steve Devoti, Marybeth Vigil, Sgt. Sanchez and the APD Honor Guard, also Tommy and Sylvia Degrano.

Montoya -- Albina P. Montoya, 75, a resident of Los Lunas since 1971, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2001. She was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church and an outstanding member of the Fred Luna Senior Citizens Center for ten years. Also, she enjoyed her dancing days with the Raising Cane Line Dancers. She retired from the Los Lunas Hospital & Training School with 14 years of dedicated service. Albina was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel in 1977; a grandson, Santiago Nuanez, Jr.; her parents, Carlos and Altagracia Padilla; two brothers, Alex and Nestor Padilla; and three sisters, Emena Montoya; Josie Mueller; and Mary Rose Trujillo. She is survived by one sister, Estella Ulibarri; and one brother, Santiago Padilla, both of Socorro; her children, Leroy Montoya and wife, Mary Lou; Yolanda Nuanez and husband, Santiago Sr.; Mary Ann Duran and husband, Julian; Grace Montoya; and Betty Lou Zamora; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Albina was a very loving and caring woman who instilled a great sense of values, morals, and dignity in all of those she loved. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, 7:00 p.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m. at the San Clemente Church will Interment following at the San Pedro Cemetery, San Pedro, NM. Moya -- 1954-2001. Ramon Moya, also lovingly known as 'Uncs", 47, a resident of Peralta, passed away on Thursday June 7, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Jesus and Manuelita Moya; his sisters, Josephine Trillo and husband, Jose, Margaret Moya, Jessie Vallejos and husband, Raymond, and Mary Lou Sandoval and her husband, Thomas; his brothers, Placido Price and wife, Isabel and George Price and wife, Mary Ann; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2001 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. led by his aunt, Nora Moya. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 11, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Albert Gallegos officiating. Burial will follow in the Peralta Cemetery. Neely -- Kathryn Barlow Neely, 77, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Col. Harold B. Neely to whom she was married for 50 years. She is survived by her brother, Charles C. Barlow; her son, Harold R. Neely and her two grandchildren, Harold Roderick Neely and Susan E. Neely. Kathryn had many interests and talents but her great love was gardening. She was a longtime member and twice president of the Uptown Garden Club as well as a charter member of the Albuquerque Master Gardeners and a Master Flower Show Judge. She was also an active member of the Albuquerque Daylily Society, the Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs, a charter member of the Tokyo Chapter of Ikebana International, as well as a mentor to many young gardeners. Her own garden has served as a place of inspiration and quiet tranquility for her family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2001, 9:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E.

Reneau -- Esther C. Reneau, 92, a resident of Albuquerque for 29 years, died Thursday, June 7, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Robert Reneau and wife, Dottie of Boone, NC and Jack Reneau of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Cynthia Reneau of Oklahoma City, OK and Karen Wood and husband, Randy of Payson, AZ; grandsons, Major Robert Reneau and wife, Misti of US Air Force, England and Captain Rick Reneau and wife, Theresa of San Antonio, TX; great-grandchildren, Erin, Bridgette, Kyle, Dylan, Beau, Haley, Mariah, and twin boys due in June; and brother, Homer E. Chilson and wife, Barbara of Orlando Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. Glore Reneau. Mrs. Reneau dedicated her life to serving our Lord as a social worker, mother, and grandmother and as a loving minister's wife. She was known for her humorist book reviews and stories in churches throughout New Mexico and Oklahoma. Mrs. Reneau led many Sunday school classes and gave generously of her gifts and graces. Romero -- Jose Romero, age 64, lost his battle with cancer on June 7, 2001. He peacefully passed away at home in the presence of his loving wife, Arsenia, and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Flores Romero, his brother, Bernardo Romero, and his stepdaughter, Andrea Lucero. He is survived by his devoted wife, Arsenia; his father, Juan Romero; his son, David and wife, Roberta; their children, Samantha, Felicia, and David Jr.; his daughter, Yvette Santillanes and husband, Andrew; and their children, Rebecca and Reina; his stepdaughter, Carol Torres; her children, Bernadette, Horacio and Andrea; and her grandson, Timothy Allen; his stepsons, Frank Lucero; his daughter, Desiree Briggs, Patricio Lucero and wife, Priscilla, and their children, Monica Pat and Shelby; his five brothers, Zacarias and wife, Gerri, Nicanor and wife, Gail, Sipriano and wife, Ruth, Andres and wife, Gai, and Roman and wife, Renee; his two sisters, Frances and husband, Joe Valdez, and Socorro Romero; and several nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and many very special friends. Jose led a full and active life. He was born on March 19, 1937 in Mesquite, NM. In 1958, he joined the City of Albuquerque Fire Department. While in the Department, he enlisted in U.S. Navy to serve in the Korean War. He was stationed on the aircraft carrier, USS ORISKANY CVA34 as an Electronic Technician and rose to the rank of second-class petty officer. After completing his tour of duty, he returned to his position in the Fire Department. In 1981, after 23 years of devoted service, he retired with the rank of Captain. In the years following, he moved to Socorro, NM to assist his parents in operating their 30+ acre farm. On November 26, 1983 he married his wife, Arsenia and they settled in San Antonio, NM. They enjoyed traveling and visiting family throughout New Mexico and California. Jose was a member of the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, NM. A Rosary will be held Monday, June 11, 7:00 p.m. at San Antonio Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June, 12, 9:00 a.m. at San Antonio Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Antonio Cemetery. Pallbearers are Nick, Sipriano, Andres, David, Roman and Zackrias Romero. Honorary Pallbearers are Emilie and Sam Romero. Sprunk -- Margarita M. Sprunk beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away June 8, 2001. She was born on March 12, 1910 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Mrs. Sprunk was a resident of Albuquerque, coming from Horace, Kansas in 1936. Margarita was a wonderful woman with loving and caring ways and she loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Sprunk; son, Eugene Sprunk; grandsons, Larry Padilla, David Sprunk and Lawrence Sprunk Jr. Margarita is survived by five sons and four daughters, Mr. Rudy Sprunk and wife, Priscilla, Annabell Saavedra and husband, Damian, Elsie Saavedra and husband Ben, Robert Sprunk and wife, Maricell of Florida, Doris Feldman and husband, Bob, Leo Sprunk and wife, Diana, Steve Sprunk and wife Virginia, Lawrence Sprunk and wife, Stella, Marie Padilla and husband, Lupe; 30 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 48 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her and loved her. Tapp -- Lillian Genevieve Boydston Tapp, died Friday, June 8, 2001. She was born on April 5, 1911 in Memphis Tennessee, and married Millard B. Tapp on July 3, 1931. Lillian moved to Albuquerque in September of 1982 to be near her son and his family after the death of her husband in 1973. She was a devout Southern Baptist, and was a member and servant of Highland Heights Baptist Church in Memphis (39 years) and at her death, First Baptist Church of Alameda in Albuquerque. She was a member of a Bible study group at the Albuquerque Meadows and taught many of the weekly lessons. She is survived by her son, Charles M. Tapp and wife, Frances of Albuquerque; daughter, Barbara Jeanne Inabnit and husband, Merl of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Charlene Roxane Tapp Gelband and husband, Mark of Overland Park, KS; Barbara Frances Tapp and David Charles Tapp of Albuquerque; Sherrie Michelle Joiner and husband, Gene, Sheila Tiffany Hitchcock and husband, Robert, Shonda Trea Mac Fadyen and husband, Brian and Shanna Shea Elsberry and husband, Jason all of the Atlanta, GA area.
