Anderson -- James C., age 75, died peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife of 50 years, Clarisse H. Anderson early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2001. He is also survived by his daughters, Clarisse and husband, Hal Jones, Julie and husband, Will Herschler, Amy Bolin, and Heidi Montoya. Jim had two grandson, Chris Brandon Bolin and Derek Jones; five granddaughters, Amy"Beth" Bolin, Nichole"Addie" Herschler, Mishay Herschler, Rebecca Jones and Sarah Montoya; and one great-grandson, Terrance Bolin. He is also survived by his sister, Lois H. Wade; and brother, Robert P. Anderson and wife, Mary Anne. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Carl Anderson; mother, Irene Nott; and brother, Byron Anderson. Jim"Andy" retired from PNM in 1986 after nearly 30 years, working his way from Lineman to Senior Working Foreman of the Electric Substation Dept. He attended Ripon College, Ripon, WI for Army specialized training in Basic Engineering. While in the Army, Jim served as a Tech Sergeant Company M 398th Infantry Regiment 100th Infantry Division during WWII and received The Bronze Star Medal among other awards. After serving in the Army, Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Physics. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, May 27, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, with a reception following at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to Presbyterian Hospice or St. Luke Lutheran church.

Borchardt -- Kenneth R. Borchardt, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, died Monday, May 21, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Georgie Borchardt; daughter, Amy Yount and husband, Ben of Springfield, IL; son, Joshua Humphries of Heber Springs, AR; and grandsons, Andrew and Matthew Yount. Kenneth served on the Board of Directors for the Miss Albuquerque Scholarship Organization. He was an avid model builder and die cast car collector. Brown -- Don Brown Jr., 42, a resident of Edgewood, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Dee Brown Talbert and husband, Judd of Rio Rancho; brother, Ken Brown and wife, Joanne of Albuquerque; sisters, Lola Holmberg of Albuquerque and Jodi Lynam and husband, Mark of Rio Rancho; and step-sister, Lisa Makow and family of Georgia. Don is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and a special aunt, Carol Delloiacono of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his father, Don D. Cone -- Greg Cone, 53, a resident of Albuquerque died Saturday, May 19, 2001, having valiantly battled cancer for 18 years. Greg was senior patent attorney for Sandia National Laboratory, a Viet Nam Veteran, gentleman farmer, an avid outdoorsman with a great zest for life. Three years ago Greg ran a half marathon to celebrate his fiftieth birthday which exemplifies his commitment to health and the joyous pursuit of physical excellence. A graduate of the Colorado School of Mines in Geophysical Engineering, after his return from Viet Nam, he pursued a second degree, earning his law degree from UCLA Law School. Greg's two greatest passions were wife, Melinda; and eleven year old daughter, Hannah. He and Melinda shared many projects together such as building hay bale walls, planting an orchard and many other tangible demonstrations of their love for each other and the home they built together. He was an adoring husband. As a father, he shared his love of the outdoors and his great curiosity with daughter, Hannah; rock-climbing, skiing, fishing, and even building a telescope. He was an adoring father. He passed on to his daughter the importance of life in nature through his volunteer efforts with Mountain Rescue. Another passion was Greg's commitment to his work and his respect and affection for his co-workers at Sandia National Lab, where his intellect, humor and a sense of camaraderie were shared. He is remembered for his easy smile, his brilliant mind, his great laugh, and an incredible talent at the backyard grill. Greg is survived by wife, Melinda; daughter, Hannah; mother-in-law, Shirley Asolas; and Melinda's three brothers and their families, Jim, son, Brett and his wife, Renee; Nick, Kathy, and Andrew; Brad, Sandi, Nicholas, Brianna and Danielle; cousins and innumerable wonderful friends and co-workers. Gillespie -- Laurita B. Gillespie, leaving numerous friends and family, Laurita's frustrating and painful fight with sclerodermera ended late Monday. Her life was one of art, music, horse breding, the family's genealogy and entertaining. After a career in the advertising business, Laurita retired to enjoy family, gardening, reading and an occasional trip to wonderful sites in the southwest. She is survived by her husband, Tedd of 51 years; her son, Pete and daughter-in-law, Alice Hoeltke of Stanley; her daughter, Amy; her sister, Sally Walker of Alamogordo; her two grandsons, Brian Gillespie and Rex Hoeltke. Lawrence -- William H. Bill Lawrence, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He is survived by his son, Dennis R. Lawrence and wife, Sue of Peralta; daughter, Karen L. Sliger and husband, Tom of Winter Haven, FL; granddaughter, Shari Crandell and husband, Rob, of Los Lunas; grandsons, Jeff Lawrence and girlfriend, Michelle Grant of Albuquerque, Joshua Smartt of Chattanooga, TN, Michael Sliger and Evan Sliger, both of Winter Haven, FL; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Delores in 1984. Bill was an avid golfer, skier, bridge player, and teacher. He worked for many years at Los Alamos National Labs, Sandia National Labs and the Atomic Energy Commission retiring in 1980. Bill was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Friday, 4:30 p.m., at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Ave. NE, with Rev. Dr. Frank Yates and Rev. Gary Wayne Mayes officiating. Little -- Jason Andrew Little, 23, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, surrounded by his family and friends. Jason was born in Limestone, Maine on May 9, 1978. He spent the first seven years of his life in Germany before moving to New Mexico. Jason was employed by Britton Construction in Albuquerque and James Thompson Construction in Belen. Jason was a member of the National Turkey Federation and a volunteer for the Valencia County Fair. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ray Fulkerson and William Jenkerson. Jason is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Elyssa M. Baca; his daughter, who is the light of his eyes, Haleigh Renae; his mother, Janis Fulkerson Little of Rio Rancho NM; his father, Ron Little and wife, Theresa of Belen, NM; one sister, Jennifer Little of Cedar City, UT; two brothers, Jesse Brewer of Rio Rancho, NM and G. J. Mullins of Belen, NM; maternal grandmother, Edith Fulkerson of Rio Rancho, NM; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Grace Little of Conyers, GA and Katherine Jenkerson of Belen, NM; two nieces, Angeleea and Jaylee Bitner of Cedar City, UT; his future parents-in-law, Anthony and Ermelinda Baca of Belen, NM; and two sisters-in-law, Sidney Baca of Belen, NM and Lindsay Baca of Los Angeles, CA. Marchiondo -- Notable Raton resident Joe G. Marchiondo, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2001, with his loving family at his side. His strong will enabled him to fight his illness with hope, grace and dignity. His beautiful blue eyes, humor, great smile and loving spirit will be greatly missed. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Millie; and four children, Nancy Thrash and husband, Tommy of Lubbock, TX, Rick Marchiondo and wife, JaNee of Raton, Randy Marchiondo and friend, Alice Martinez of Raton, and Linda Marchiondo of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Julio Marchiondo and wife, Betty of Raton, and Bill Marchiondo of Albuquerque; and three sisters, Alberina Brandolino, Laurie Scarselli and Carolina Moore. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Anna Marchiondo; and brothers, Johnny, Charlie, Eddie and Tony. Joe was born January 19, 1921 to Tony and Anna Marchiondo, the sixth of ten children. He graduated from Raton High School in 1939 and attended the University of Albuquerque for two years before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps on November 9, 1942. He proudly served his country in the South Pacific during WWII and received his honorable Discharge as Technical Sergeant on October 22, 1945. He married Millie Mutton on November 23, 1944 in Raton, where they have lived and raised their family. Joe also served as State Representative of New Mexico for the Eighth District, was a member of VFW for over 50 years and a member of the B.P.O.E. 865 for 55 years. Joe had a variety of business interests in his lifetime and received many distinguished awards and honors. At the time of his death, he was the owner and operator of the Capri Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Improvement Fund or the Arthur Johnson Memorial Library. Services were held Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Guy Roberts officiating. Rosary was held at 9:30 a.m. Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed at Mt. Martinez -- Mr. Mike Martinez died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 62. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Frances Martinez; son, Michael Martinez; daughters, Jeanette Griego, Virginia Martinez, Marline Martinez, Joanne Herrera, and Victoria Gonzales; brothers, Anselmo, Adelido, Willie and Bobby Martinez; sister, Carmen Jaramillo; and 17 grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Martinez will be held on Saturday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Cedro Cemetery. Mauldin -- James A. Mauldin, 72, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gwendolyn Nan Mauldin; three children, Kris Mauldin, Kim Hahn, and Kay Carter; one brother, Hubert Mauldin and one sister, Macle Copeland. Mr. Mauldin retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1981. He then established a successful real estate business specializing in land. Sego -- Raymond Starlin Sego"Sty" Memories of such great men never die- husband, father, grandfather and beloved helper to all, Sty Sego of Bosque Farms, 83, died in his home May 23, 2001. He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Leroy Bell Sego; mother, Anna Adella Jack Sego; brother, Benjamin Frederick Sego; and daughter, Verna Irene Sego Craig. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Lois Seitter Sego; brothers, Ernest A. Sego and Robert F. Sego; children, Judy Ann Johnson, Raymond Starlin Sego, Jr., Leland Wade Sego, Lane Seitter Sego, Gary L Sego, and spouses; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was born February 20, 1918 in Manassa, CO, and was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After moving to New Mexico in 1957 from Alamosa, CO, he worked as a carpenter and entertained hundreds with his storytelling and acute musical abilities. His honesty, goodness, and strong work ethic will be remembered by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Los Lunas Chapel, 160 James St. A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room of the LDS Church. Taft -- Sandra Mae"Sandy" Taft, 48, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Roger Taft of Albuquerque; sons, Brenton Shane Taft and Kevin James Scott Taft, both of Albuquerque; brothers, Steve Meetz and wife, Kathy and Charles Meetz, all of Wisconsin; and numerous relatives and friends. Mrs. Taft worked as an Audiologist with the Indian Pueblo Council for 19 years. She was a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. Tilley -- Helen Yvonne Lybarger Tilley, 61, a resident of Albuquerque since June 1993, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Ray Tilley of Albuquerque; foster daughter, Rebecca Richins of Thornton, CO; sisters, Louise Shook of Mattoon, IL and Phyllis Branum of Gilmer, TX; and brothers, Gene Ingram of Sullivan, IL, Charles Ingram of Harrisburg, IL, Robert Ingram of Kinmundy, IL and George Lybarger of Mason, IL. Mrs. Tilley was born April 18, 1940 in Clay County, IL to Olen and Grace Lybarger. She attended Edgewood Grade School and graduated from Effingham High School in 1958. After working at the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana, she moved to Phoenix, AZ in July 1962. There she met Ray Tilley and they were married in Edgewood, IL on August 30, 1963. Mrs. Tilley attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ where she was on the Dean's List. After graduating, she attended Arizona State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Before moving to Phoenix, she attended Iola Pentecostal Church. In Phoenix, she attended the West Phoenix United Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was also the secretary/treasurer for 11 years. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Tilley was employed by Jeff Ostriecher as a paralegal in his law firm for 13 years. In the summer of 1993, she and her husband retired and moved to Albuquerque where she attended Bethel Heritage Church and was employed as the office secretary. Mrs. Tilley also was elected as the group leader of the senior citizens, a position she held for five years. Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Michael Mullins officiating. Interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
