Anderson -- James C., age 75, died peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife of 50 years, Clarisse H. Anderson early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2001. He is also survived by his daughters, Clarisse and husband, Hal Jones, Julie and husband, Will Herschler, Amy Bolin, and Heidi Montoya. Jim had two grandson, Chris Brandon Bolin and Derek Jones; five granddaughters, Amy"Beth" Bolin, Nichole"Addie" Herschler, Mishay Herschler, Rebecca Jones and Sarah Montoya; and one great-grandson, Terrance Bolin. He is also survived by his sister, Lois H. Wade; and brother, Robert P. Anderson and wife, Mary Anne. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Carl Anderson; mother, Irene Nott; and brother, Byron Anderson. Jim"Andy" retired from PNM in 1986 after nearly 30 years, working his way from Lineman to Senior Working Foreman of the Electric Substation Dept. He attended Ripon College, Ripon, WI for Army specialized training in Basic Engineering. While in the Army, Jim served as a Tech Sergeant Company M 398th Infantry Regiment 100th Infantry Division during WWII and received The Bronze Star Medal among other awards. After serving in the Army, Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Physics. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, May 27, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, with a reception following at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to Presbyterian Hospice or St. Luke Lutheran church.

Baca -- Erlinda Baca passed away at the age of 42 on Sunday, May 20, 2001. Mrs. Baca was preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Lawrence Baca; her grandson, Lawrence Baca III; and her mother Antonia Vigil. Erlinda is survived by her loving five children; two daughters, Maryann Baca and husband, Michael Sosa and Rose Baca and husband, Vance Chino; three sons, Lawrence Baca, Jr. and fiancČe Danielle, Maragrito Baca and Seymour Baca; five wonderful grandchildren who she loved very much, Gabriel Baca, Martin Chino, Marisol Sosa, Michael Chino, and Angel Baca; five brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews. Mom we love you very much you will always be in our heart until we meet again your loving children. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Broadway and Pacific Streets, with Father Jose Farias, Celebrant. Benninghoff -- Susie Glee Benninghoff, 97, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, died Monday, May 21, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Donald Benninghoff and wife, Mildred and Harlan"Keith" Benninghoff and wife, Carol, all of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Benninghoff was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Benninghoff; two brothers; and one sister. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual NE, with Rev. Charles E. Price officiating. Brooks -- Oliver R. (Bob) Brooks born in Taos on September 1, 1917. The life long Taos resident peacefully passed away following an illness at the Taos Living Center on May 19, 2001. An Army Air Corps pilot in WWII, the retired Taos businessman was a member of Bent Lodge 42, Taos Lions Club and the Taos Volunteer Fire Department. His involvement in all aspects of the Boy Scouts of America led to the Silver Beaver Award in 1972. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy R. Brooks (Peg); he is also survived by his four sons, John E. Brooks, George A. Brooks (Debbi), Larry N. Brooks (Heidi), all of Albuquerque, and Randy of Taos; six grandchildren, Andrew, Celeste, Casey, Cristi, Katrina and Jennifer; and one brother, Charles B. Brooks, of Green Valley, AZ. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., May 26, 2001, at the First Presbyterian Church in Taos. Brutlag -- Cora Constance Brutlag, 83, died of natural causes on May 22, 2001. She was born in Minot, North Dakota on April 19, 1918. She came to Albuquerque in 1957 and was a resident for 44 years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Minehart Brutlag of Albuquerque; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Simone Brutlag of Menlo Park CA; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bill Schlegel of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Ben and Pauline Brutlag of Menlo Park CA, and Alexandria Schlegal of Ft. Worth TX. Cora was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Drennan -- Larry Wayne Drennan, 45, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2001. Larry was born March 27, 1956 the son of Wayne A. and Belva Coble Drennan in Urbana, Illinois. Larry had been a truck driver before his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Andrew Drennan. Larry is survived by his wife, Doris of Albuquerque; his daughters, Jennifer and Nicole Kell of Arizona; and stepsons, Randy and Jeremy McCoy of Albuquerque; mother, Belva Drennan of Albuquerque; sister, Sandra Drennan of Albuquerque; brother, Ed Drennan and wife, Gwen of Midland,TX; sister, Linda Timmons and husband, Jerry; brother, Scott Drennan both of Albuquerque, and Andy Drennan of Old Town, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends also survive him. Flinchum -- James Luther Flinchum, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died on May 19, 2001. He was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, on June 18, 1925. Known by all as"Jim," he is survived by Joann Flinchum, his wife of 54 years, son Mike Flinchum and his wife of California, daughter Sherry Koberstein and her husband of Vancouver Island, (Canada); five grandchildren, Rebecca, Kristen, and James Flinchum, Rhiann Grills, and Katie Koberstein; and by 3 sisters, Frankie Redfoot of Dallas, and Mazie Gourley and June Wetsel of Tijeras; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother, William and Delia Flinchum, his brother Lawson Flinchum, and his sister Julia Wagner. A carpenter by trade, Jim started the Flinchum Construction Company in 1971. As a General Contractor, Jim was blessed of the Lord with an excellent staff and knowledgeable advisors, as the company advanced with contracts at many of the area military bases. Jim appreciated the outdoors, often enjoying hunting and camping trips with close friends. As a young father, Jim made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, was baptized, and has remained an active member of Baptist churches in Oklahoma and in Albuquerque for the past 53 years. Jim was a charter member of the Bel-Air Baptist Church of Albuquerque, and also served in the Parkview Baptist Church, Tijeras Baptist Church, and Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Ordained a deacon, Jim taught Bible classes and served on various committees. Through the influence of his friend and pastor, Calvin Beach, Jim sensed God's leading to participate with International Crusades, of Dallas, Texas, in a trip to Mexico in 1978. A deep love for missionary work resulted, with Jim making 43 trips, visiting 16 countries on five continents. Jim found great satisfaction sharing his ever-growing faith in Jesus Christ, often serving as a lay preacher. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2001 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris N.E., with lunch to follow. Gilbert -- Vernis Devon Gilbert was born March 12, 1917 in Collinsville, OK to Mary Ellen Gilbert and Henry Gilbert. He is survived by his wife of 58 wonderful years, Betty Mae Gilbert, of the family home. Also surviving are his son, Christopher K. Gilbert and wife, Dr. Linda Gerritts, of Westlake, CA; his daughter, Debra Ann Dimas and husband, Jimmie Dimas of Belen, NM; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Otero and husband, Fermin Otero, and Christopher James Gilbert; as well as three great-grandchildren, Debra Alexandra Anne Marsh, Ezra Abraham Otero, and Mia Isabel Esperanza Otero."Gil" was a retired pilot, captain, for American Airlines, and his career spanned thirty years. His love of airplanes and flying started as a young child at the age of six in Bartlesville, OK. He was a member of the first class of the Naval Air Corps Cadets. While with American Airlines, he flew DC 3's up to DC 10's. He loved his job, and was proud of being a part of American Airlines. He loved his devoted wife and family, and he will be missed by all who love him. Services were held Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philips Mission in Rio Communities. Gillespie -- Laurita B. Gillespie, leaving numerous friends and family, Laurita's frustrating and painful fight with sclerodermera ended late Monday. Her life was one of art, music, horse breding, the family's genealogy and entertaining. After a career in the advertising business, Laurita retired to enjoy family, gardening, reading and an occasional trip to wonderful sites in the southwest. She is survived by her husband, Tedd of 51 years; her son, Pete and daughter-in-law, Alice Hoeltke of Stanley; her daughter, Amy; her sister, Sally Walker of Alamogordo; her two grandsons, Brian Gillespie and Rex Hoeltke. Griffin -- Jack Griffin, 43, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away suddenly on May 21, 2001. He was born on August 30, 1957 to Jack and Carol King Griffin in Texas. He was a former resident of El Paso and Houston prior to moving to Rio Rancho four years ago. Jack was very passionate about writing and composing music and loved to play his guitar. He was employed by Brycon Construction as a project engineer and currently working at the Intel site in Rio Rancho. Jack was also a former member of the Quad-A Balloon Club. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Griffin, Sr.; and his brother, Steve Griffin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brandi of Rio Rancho; his mother, Carol Griffin of La Porte, TX; sister, Donna Beth Griffin of Galveston, TX; step-children, Christopher Waddell and Amber Griffin both of Rio Rancho; nieces and nephews, Jonathon, Joseph and Jill, all of Texas; and numerous cousins; his aunt, Nita Collins; and uncle, George and aunt, Goldie Griffin all of Houston, TX. Kozeliski -- Catherine"Katie" Kozeliski, 89, of Gallup, NM passed away on May 22, 2001 in Gallup, NM. She was born on February 18, 1912 in Gibson, NM. Lawrence -- William H. ťBillť Lawrence, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He is survived by his son, Dennis R. Lawrence and wife, Sue of Peralta; daughter, Karen L. Sliger and husband, Tom of Winter Haven, FL; granddaughter, Shari Crandell and husband, Rob, of Los Lunas; grandsons, Jeff Lawrence and girlfriend, Michelle Grant of Albuquerque, Joshua Smartt of Chattanooga, TN, Michael Sliger and Evan Sliger, both of Winter Haven, FL; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Delores in 1984. Bill was an avid golfer, skier, bridge player, and teacher. He worked for many years at Los Alamos National Labs, Sandia National Labs and the Atomic Energy Commission retiring in 1980. Bill was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Little -- Jason Andrew Little, 23, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, surrounded by his family and friends. Jason was born in Limestone, Maine on May 9, 1978. He spent the first seven years of his life in Germany before moving to New Mexico. Jason was employed by Britton Construction in Albuquerque and James Thompson Construction in Belen. Jason was a member of the National Turkey Federation and a volunteer for the Valencia County Fair. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ray Fulkerson and William Jenkerson. Jason is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Elyssa M. Baca; his daughter, who is the light of his eyes, Haleigh Renae; his mother, Janis Fulkerson Little of Rio Rancho NM; his father, Ron Little and wife, Theresa of Belen, NM; one sister, Jennifer Little of Cedar City, UT; two brothers, Jesse Brewer of Rio Rancho, NM and G. J. Mullins of Belen, NM; maternal grandmother, Edith Fulkerson of Rio Rancho, NM; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Grace Little of Conyers, GA and Katherine Jenkerson of Belen, NM; two nieces, Angeleea and Jaylee Bitner of Cedar City, UT; his future parents-in-law, Anthony and Ermelinda Baca of Belen, NM; and two sisters-in-law, Sidney Baca of Belen, NM and Lindsay Baca of Los Angeles, CA. Mauldin -- James A. Mauldin, 72, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gwendolyn Nan Mauldin; three children, Kris Mauldin, Kim Hahn, and Kay Carter; one brother, Hubert Mauldin and one sister, Macle Copeland. Mr. Mauldin retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1981. He then established a successful real estate business specializing in land. Mckelvy -- Mary Catherine McKelvy, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, May 21, 2001 in her home. She was born on October 6, 1913 in Abilene, KS to Bruce and Margaret Gleissner. Employed by TWA as an executive secretary, she was transferred to Albuquerque where she met and married George W. McKelvy in August 1941. While her husband was in the military, they lived in various cities, but eventually migrated to Albuquerque. In 1954, she started work as a legal secretary for the Moses, Dunn, Farmer and Tuthil Law Firm and remained their faithful employee until her retirement thirty years later. Mrs. McKelvy was very involved in politics, served as a volunteer for the Republican Party, and was an avid follower of Rush Limbaugh. In her retirement years, she traveled extensively enjoying the sites and cultures of Ireland, Germany, Italy, Great Britian and other parts of Europe. As a lover of fine music, one of her greatest pleasures was attending the Symphony with her close friends. She is survived by her four sons, Bruce McKelvy of Albuquerque, Warren McKelvy and wife, Roberta of Roswell, David McKelvy of Los Angeles, CA and Stephen McKelvy of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Colleen McKelvy of Los Angeles, CA and Liana McKelvy of Bozeman, MT; grandsons, Ian McKelvy, Zach McKelvy, Mark McKelvy, Luke McKelvy, all of Roswell and Kevin McKelvy of Bozeman, MT; brother, Bruce Gleissner of Mobile, AL; two nephews, John Gleissner and Bruce Gleissner; and two nieces, Wilhima"Billie" Peinovich and Roxanna Jones. Morga -- Emma Lee Morga, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque died Sunday May 20, 2001. Mrs. Morga is survived by one daughter Mary Walker of FL a daughter in-law Helen Hendrix of Las Cruces NM; three sons Jim Hendrix of Albuquerque NM, Eddie Morga of CA, and Gene Morga of AZ and twelve grandchildren. Musselman -- Florence Musselman, 97, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, May 20, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria M. Pleu of Clarence, NY and June M. Zelin of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Robert C. Zelin, II of Mankato, MN, G. Robert Pleu and wife, Sharon of Albany, OR, Terry J. Zelin and wife, Shelley of Albuquerque and Marcy M. Pleu-Lunell and husband, Sean of San Jose, CA and great-grandchildren, R. Clayton Zelin, III, Byron R. Zelin, KC Renee Pleu and Scott Lunell. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, brothers and sisters. She was also the last family member of 13. Florence was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. Poole -- Randy Lucille Duncan-Poole, 46, went to celebrate eternity with the Lord, on May 19, 2001, after battling Lung Cancer. She was preceeded by her father, James M. Duncan II. Survivors include her husband, Stephen J. Poole; her son, Joseph Buck Esposito his wife, Ginger; and two grandchildren, Luke and Noah of Hawaii. She is also survived by her mother, Pearl L. McElyea; siblings, James M. Duncan III, Buck Duncan and wife, Tami, Tammy Starr Greene and Gabriella Duncan of Albquerque, NM, Rondy Jethro of Florida; and many neices, nephews, aunts and uncles. Randy accomplished many things in her time here on earth. She enlisted in the United States Navy and served with the Seabees in Gulf Port, MS. as well as Adak, AK. She left the service and received her masters degree in Psychology. She worked with developmentally disabled persons in Newton, Iowa. Randy loved life and working with people. Memorial Services will be held at Jeanne Bellamah Community Center 11516 Summer NE at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2001. Pot luck and Duncan Jam following. All are welcome! Riley -- Mrs. Hazel D. Riley, 90, a resident of Old Laguna, New Mexico passed away on May 21, 2001. Mrs. Riley is the beloved mother to one son, Roger Riley Jr. and wife Kathy;, daughters, Victoria Paquin, Mae Scott and husband Fred, Clara Green and husband Alfred, Gloria Louis and Madeline Ruiz and husband Douglas; she is also survived by one sister, Louise Lucas; and brother, Lefty Siow; 31 grandchildren; 48great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Riley, a daughter, Martha Garcia and a son, Emerson Riley. Mrs. Riley was a member of the Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Old Laguna with Father Berard, celebrating the mass. Rodriguez -- Mrs. Jennie Rodriguez died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 98. Shea -- George J. Shea, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2001. Shelton -- George G. Shelton, 87, passed away in Albuquerque on Sunday, May 20, 2001. He was born in Westbrook, TX on November 24, 1913. A resident of Albuquerque since 1954, he worked at Sandia Corporation until retirement in 1970. Mr. Shelton was an accomplished artist who took great pleasure as well as providing pleasure to others, with his work in oils, water colors, and other media. Survivors include his daughter, Gretchen Lemons and husband, Randel of Tijeras, NM; son, Dan Shelton and wife, Connie of Angel Fire, NM; son, Steve Shelton and wife, Lori of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Faye Venable of Phoenix; and many friends and relatives. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate George's life will be held Sunday, May 27, 2001 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the home of Gretchen and Randel Lemons, #10 Chipmunk Lane, Tijeras. Tilley -- Helen Yvonne Lybarger Tilley, 61, a resident of Albuquerque since June 1993, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Ray Tilley of Albuquerque; foster daughter, Rebecca Richins of Thornton, CO; sisters, Louise Shook of Mattoon, IL and Phyllis Branum of Gilmer, TX; and brothers, Gene Ingram of Sullivan, IL, Charles Ingram of Harrisburg, IL, Robert Ingram of Kinmundy, IL and George Lybarger of Mason, IL. Mrs. Tilley was born April 18, 1940 in Clay County, IL to Olen and Grace Lybarger. She attended Edgewood Grade School and graduated from Effingham High School in 1958. After working at the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana, she moved to Phoenix, AZ in July 1962. There she met Ray Tilley and they were married in Edgewood, IL on August 30, 1963. Mrs. Tilley attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ where she was on the Dean's List. After graduating, she attended Arizona State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Before moving to Phoenix, she attended Iola Pentecostal Church. In Phoenix, she attended the West Phoenix United Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was also the secretary/treasurer for 11 years. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Tilley was employed by Jeff Ostriecher as a paralegal in his law firm for 13 years. In the summer of 1993, she and her husband retired and moved to Albuquerque where she attended Bethel Heritage Church and was employed as the office secretary. Mrs. Tilley also was elected as the group leader of the senior citizens, a position she held for five years. Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Michael Mullins officiating. Interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
