Armenta -- Patricio Armenta went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2001. He was a Veteran of WWII and is survived by his wife, Ida and three children, Mary and her two sons, Leo and Michael, Oralia and husband, Lorenzo and two sons, Patrick and Thomas Torres, Johnny and wife, Dolores and their two daughters, Natasha and Michelle De Ann. He also had four grandsons, and one great-grandson; two brothers, Nick Armenta and wife, Delia and Pedro Armenta Jr. Serving as pallbearers will be Lenny Sanchez, Joe Aragon, Patrick and Thomas Torres, Serafin Garcia and Teddy Sanchez. Bonnel -- Eula Mae Atchley Bonnel, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico for 23 years, left for her eternal home on Sunday, March 11, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Kent and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joyce Reese and husband, Martin of Spanish Fork, Utah; son, Jerry Riggs and wife, Toby, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Eula moved to Kansas City, Missouri from Oklahoma at the age of 51. She lived in Kansas City, Missouri for 50 years where she was employed by Wolferman's Grocery Stores for 15 years until their closing. Eula moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1978 from Kansas City, Missouri. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had been involved in the American Business Women's Association and the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7900, Kansas City, Missouri. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her smile and spirit will always be with us. Services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Manzano Ward, 12701 Indian School. Clark -- James Kevin Clark, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, March 9, 2001. Kevin was born May 18, 1957, the son of James A. and Joan Blaes Clark in El Paso, TX. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Linda Clark Butler and husband, Curtis of Medford, NJ and Cathleen Clark Perez and husband, Michael of Humble, TX; two nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Box Clark of Clovis. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Richard Olona, Celebrant. Conklin -- Florence F. Conklin. Florence Conklin started her journey though this life on March 10, 1907. She was born Florence Fleet Fortyune in the small town of Beasley, Virginia. Her journey took her down many a highway and as many pathways and lanes. She met and befriended untold numbers of people along the way. She left a definite and lasting impression on many of them. Florence's journey was brought to a standstill here in Albuquerque, where she recently returned to be with her surviving family. Her journey ended peacefully in sleep. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as five sisters and four brothers. Her daughter, Lorraine and her husband, Jim Seals, survive her; three granddaughters, Laura Ruscetti, Deborah Donahue and Susan Seals; and two grandsons, Bobby Seals and Kelly Seals, all of whom reside in or near Albuquerque, also survive her; also surviving her are seven great-granddaughters, Leta Tripp, Shannon Thompson, Danielle Seals, Kelsey Seals, Jacey Lee Ferguson, Katie Seals, Ara Lee Seals; and one-great grandson, Shawn Tripp; she also has several nieces and nephews on the East Coast. Florence lived in Albuquerque from 1973 to 1990 and then relocated back to Virginia and Maryland. She returned to Albuquerque on February 24, 2001 and fell ill two days later. She passed from this earth Wednesday evening, March 7, 2001 at 8:20 p.m. to begin her new journey. Cremation has been performed and she will be returned to Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Washington D.C. and interred with her late husband, James Conklin. We, the Seals family, would like to extend our unlimited gratitude to all of the friends and neighbors that knew her and cared for her while she lived here. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Florence's niece, Louisa Gavigan, for taking such wonderful care of her these last several months.

Ellison -- Barbara Haines Ellison, born June 27, 1933, daughter of Stephen Wheeler Haines and Mable Snyder Haines of Muskogee, OK, died on March 7, 2001 in Taos, NM. Diagnosed with lupus in 1966, Barbara was one of the longest living Lupus patients in the world. Her courage and tenacity in the face of this chronic disease were remarkable. Graduating from Central High School, she then attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and met her husband of 46 years, George Rittenhouse Ellison of Oklahoma City. Barbara was a member of the Junior League of Albuquerque, playing the witch in the Children's Theater productions,"Hansel and Gretel," and serving as Recording Secretary from 1967 - 1968. When her family moved to Colorado Springs, she volunteered at the Horticulture Society of Colorado Springs and served as a docent at the Fine Arts Center. In 1974, her family moved to Connecticut, living first in Darien and later in Stamford. She served on the boards of Trustees of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk and the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford. She was a Connecticut Master Gardener and a member of the Shippan Point Garden Club. Retiring with her husband to Taos in 1993, Barbara became a member of the Taos Garden Club and maintained 86 varieties of penstemon, which grow in her garden today. She is survived by her husband, her brother, Stephen W. Haines of Houston, TX; two daughters, Carter of Boulder, CO, and Lynne of Philadelphia, PA; and a son, David of Cleveland, OH. She requested no flowers and in honor of her lifelong love of animals, friends may make gifts to the Humane Society of Taos, Inc. PO Box 622. Gunter -- N. P. �Pres� Gunter, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Luella M. Gunter of the family home; son, Robb Gunter and wife, Bunty of Tijeras, NM; daughter, Kathy Ann Gunter of Oklahoma City, OK; grandsons, Chad and Brad Gunter of Tijeras, NM; and brother, Tom Gunter and wife, Marge of Pueblo, CO. Pres was born in Pueblo, Colorado on October 25, 1920 and lived there until 1941 when he came to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend UNM. After graduation from UNM he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and established Air Engineering in 1960. He was a member of the Albuquerque Kiwanis Club, with 34 years of perfect attendance. Helms -- Earlene Helms, 67, a resident of Albuquerque for 57 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Audie Helms; son, Keith Helms; daughters, Brenda Gantt and husband, Eddy and Denise Friend and husband, Dave, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Audie K. Helms III from ID, Jennifer and Melissa Helms, both of Tomé, Willis Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashley Gantt of Albuquerque, Beau Gantt of Los Lunas, and Candice and Travis Friend, both of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, Alexis Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; step-father, Oscar Turner; sisters, Phyllis Mitchell and husband, John and Nagatha Himel and husband, Webb; brothers, Frank Turner and wife, Lynda and Doug Turner and wife, Peggy, all of Albuquerque; several nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends who love her and will miss her. Earlene was very active with her husband in their auto repair business, A&E Auto Repair. She had worked for Jill�s Bakery many years at the Piggly Wiggly on Isleta Blvd. Earlene was a member of the Women of the Moose, Pythian Sisters and the Pythian Sunshine Girls; and she was past president of Duke City Raceway Auxiliary. She loved auto racing and being involved first hand. She loved to watch and cheer for her daughter, Brenda and son-in-law, Eddy�she was their #1 fan. Jordan -- Stanley A Jordan, died Friday March 9, 2001 at age 78. Survived by his wife, Roberta (Nee Brown), of Rio Rancho; daughter, Debra Frank of Waukesha, WI; and grandson, Willard Frank of West Allis, WI. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey R. He is, further survived by his sister, Joan Pequet of Brookfield, WI. Stanley was a former resident of Brookfield, WI. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe in WW II. He was for many years the purchasing agent for Radio Parts and a salesman for Marsh Electronics. He retired in Rio Rancho in 1987. After retirement, he worked as a docent at the Alb. Museum for 11 years, was a past elder at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church and a member of the Westerners. Stanley enjoyed golf and spending time with his wife and many friends. As a young adult, he moved to Colorado with his buddies to pursue his love for the outdoors and has remained there since. He worked at Martin Marietta for over ten years and was a painter by trade. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, and training his bird dogs for his outdoor expeditions. He was secretly a poet and sometimes played the harmonica. His family, immediate and extended, his friends and his dogs were the source of joy in his life. Richardson -- James Lindsey Richardson, U.S.N P.C.C.S. (Retired), 76, of Albuquerque died at home March 12, 2001 with his family at his side. He served in the US Navy 27 1/2 years and was a Veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He later retired in 1986 from the US Postal Service after 16 years. James was preceded in death by his parents Marion M. and Teresa E. Richardson and brother, Marion Richardson Jr. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pola R. Richardson; two sons, John J. Richardson and wife, Christy, and Thomas J. Richardson; daughter, Pola C. Richardson; and four grandchildren, Olivia and husband, Shawn Dearholt, Jon Michael Mills, Racquel Richardson and Justin Cline; two sisters, Isabel and husband, Louie Silva, Rosemary Chavez and husband, Benny; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Romero -- Mela Romero, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for over 24 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Arthur Romero and wife, Virginia of Belen, Charles Romero of Glendale, CA, and Gene Romero and wife, Shirley of Kingsport, TN; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; and special nieces and nephew and good friends, Celia, Peggy and Mike. Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 16, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption, Lomas and Tennessee. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Sanford -- Jack H.E. Sanford passed away on March 9, 2001. He was born in Morristown, IN on July 10, 1907. He completed his high school in Indiana, and then graduated from New Mexico Western in Silver City. He taught high school and coached basketball in Reserve, NM before working for Schenley Distillers in Albuquerque for many years. During World War II, he served in the US Navy. He was active in the American Legion, Ballut Abayd Temple and the BPOE. His beloved wife, Cecilia Joy, his mother, Anna, father, William, and his two sisters, Edith and Dorothy preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Anne Anderson and her husband, Bob of Albuquerque; grandson and his wife, Dr's. Mark and Tracy Anderson and their daughters, Grace, Janie and Eva of Lakewood, CO; granddaughter, Lisa Anderson of Denver, CO; and best friend, Becky Kolb; and many, many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shrine Children's Hospital. Internment will be at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Taylor -- Elisapeta Taylor, 66, a resident of Los Lunas and formerly of Honolulu and American Samoa, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2001. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Sagiao in 1995 and her father, Tufi Tagaledo. she is survived by her husband of 30 years, John C. Taylor of the family home; her sons and daughters, Amanda Sala and husband, Ielu of Honolulu, Denis Lam and husband, Larry of Phoenix, Kevin Sagiao of Owyhee, NV; Renita Stewart of Eureka, CA and Richard Taylor of Cookeville, TN; ten grandchildren; and six sisters and three brothers. Elisapeta is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will take place at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with Interment following on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
