Christian -- Donald Eugene Christian, 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 8, 2001. He is survived by his nine children, Marcia Goettemoeller and husband, Roger, Mark Christian and wife, Sharon, Gail Kraenzel and husband, John, Donna Chee and husband, Richard, Matthew Christian and wife, Patsy, Anne Blythe and husband, Lee, Kelly Crollett and husband, Garry, Luke Christian and wife, Jeannette, Lori Zubia and husband, Mario; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brother, David Christian and wife, Nancy; and sister, Mary Schultze and husband, Willie. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jean. Don was born and raised in Piqua, OH. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII. He then moved to Albuquerque in 1949, and retired as a lieutenant after 30 years of service with the Albuquerque Police Department. In retirement, he enjoyed being with the security department of Sunwest Bank. A devout Catholic, he was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Monday, March 12, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Clark -- James Kevin Clark, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, March 9, 2001. Kevin was born May 18, 1957, the son of James A. and Joan Blaes Clark in El Paso, TX. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Linda Clark Butler and husband, Curtis of Medford, NJ and Cathleen Clark Perez and husband, Michael of Humble, TX; two nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Box Clark of Clovis. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Davidson -- Margaret E. "Meg" Davidson, died at home Friday, March 2, 2001. Meg was born and raised in New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Cuddie E. Davidson, Jr. and Elizabeth M. Davidson, and sister of Deborah L. Davidson. Meg graduated from Northwestern University with Bachelors and Masters degrees. After teaching oral interpretation at universities in Iowa and North Carolina, Meg began law school. She graduated from Southern Methodist University Law School and then moved to Albuquerque, where she joined the law firm of Keleher & McLeod in 1982. At Keleher & McLeod, Meg was the head of the firm's employment law section. She concentrated her practice in employment law, primarily on disability law. She was recognized as a leading attorney in the State of New Mexico on the Americans With Disabilities Act. Through the years she taught many seminars and wrote many articles pertaining to the ADA. She also taught as an Adjunct Professor in Advanced Appellate Advocacy at the University of New Mexico Law School from 1990 to 1992. In 1992, the State Bar of New Mexico recognized her with an Outstanding Contribution Award and last year she was once again recognized by the State Bar of New Mexico for her work in the area of disability law. Meg was well known in the Albuquerque legal community. Her smile and concern for others were cherished by her many friends and colleagues. Her fight against cancer and her spirit in the face of her failing health were truly an inspiration. Cremation has taken place. Garcia -- Nasario P. Garcia, 88, a resident of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque died, Friday, March 9, 2001. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his wife, Agapita Garcia in 1972; son, Johnny Garcia and grandchildren, Debbie Garcia and Harold Gallegos. He is survived by his longtime companion, Josie Espinosa; sons, Dr. Nasario Garcia and wife, Janice of Las Vegas, NM, Beltran Garcia and Randolph Garcia and wife, Becky all of Albuquerque; daughters, Julia Jaramillo, Elsie Gallegos, Terry Gallegos and husband, Robert, Antonette Castillo and husband, Randy all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michele, Raquel, Dede, Frankie, Felix, Lorraine, Gary, Rhonda, Brenda, Pamela, Adam, Paula, Renee, Paul, Dora, Donald, Ivan, Janet, Christina, Hanna, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Briana, Nicole, Alana, Al, Chelsea, Jonathan, Nicholas, Sampson, Monee, Patrick, Leandra, Denea, Meranda, Kalee, Jaqueline, Frankie Jr. and Brittney; numerous nieces and nephews. Griego -- Andres (Andy) Griego, Jr., 57, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Irene Griego of Tijeras; son, Robert Griego and wife, Lori of Tijeras; daughter, Carol Orgass and husband, Brian of Tijeras; son, Joe Griego and wife, Shannon of Los Lunas; daughter, Tina Coleman and husband, Joel of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandsons; two granddaughters; mother, Teresita Griego of Tijeras; sister, Toni Maese and husband, Kenneth of Moriarty; brother, Mike Griego and wife, Bea of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jordan -- Stanley A Jordan, died Friday March 9, 2001, at age 78. Survived by his wife, Roberta (nee Brown), of Rio Rancho; daughter, Debra Frank of Waukesha, WI; and grandson, Willard Frank of West Allis, WI. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey R. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Pequet of Brookfield, WI. Stanley was a former resident of Brookfield, WI. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe in WW II. He was for many years the purchasing agent for Radio Parts and a salesman for Marsh Electronics. He retired in Rio Rancho in 1987. After retirement he worked as a docent at the Alb. Museum for 11 years, was a past elder at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church and a member of the Westerners. Stanley enjoyed golf and spending time with his wife and many friends. Memorial services will be held at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian church on Wednesday March 14,2001 at 3:00 p.m.

Kruse -- Donald Kruse, a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Kruse of the family home; daughters, Debbie Myers and husband, Kurt of Atlanta, GA, Sheryl Locke and husband, Brad of Greensboro, NC; son, Greg Kruse and wife, Whitney of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; brothers, John Kruse, Lexington, NE, Carl Kruse of Canon City, CO, Harry Kruse of Bluespring, NE and Walter Kruse of Beatrice, NE; sisters, Anne Stuteville of Portland, OR, Lorrina Higgins of Beatrice, NE and Dorothy Siske of Stelnauer, NE. Donald was one of the founders of Sagebrush Sales, a lumber company, as well as a board member of the Believers Center. He served on the Executive Management Committee of Plygem Industries of NY, and was a managing member of Kruse Enterprises, LLC. Donald loved to golf and never missed an opportunity to play in the Charlie Pride Pro/Am Tournament. Laffoon -- Edna Mae Laffoon, 76, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, March 9, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Sonjia Irene Hinzman; son, James Jim Douglas Laffoon and wife, Valerie Jean; granddaughters, Wendy Marie Hinzman Knight and husband, Kevin, Kathryn Jean Hinzman Gross and husband, Bryan; grandson, Paul James Laffoon; and four great-grandchildren, Aspen Jane, MacKenzie, Aidan, and Mallory. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Clyde Laffoon. Mrs. Laffoon was born in Alamosa, CO, September 30, 1924, the daughter of Archie Herbert Horn and Ruby Irene Sanford Horn. She came to Albuquerque with her family in 1929, at the age of four and continued to make Albuquerque her home. Both she and her husband graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1942. In 1988, she joined the Ostomy Association, Chapter 125. In 1994, she completed her sixth year of Bible Study Fellowship. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years and she was a member of Monterey Baptist Church. Her life at La Vida Llena was a busy one. The Music Ministry was her delight as she shared it with those living in Health Care and Personal Care Units at La Vida Llena. She would have been the first to tell you that it was God's presence in her life that strengthened and blessed her entire life. Services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Jim Pickens officiating. Martinez -- Mrs. Cora Martinez, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away March 11, 2001. Mrs. Martinez is survived by two sons, Jesse O. Saldana -- Jose Alfredo "Joe" Saldana, age 28 of Albuquerque and formerly of Las Cruces died Friday, March 9, 2001 near Socorro, New Mexico. He was born November 5, 1972 in Bakersfield, California to Martin and Isabel Saldana. Joe had been a resident of Las Cruces since 1980 and was a a 1991 graduate of Mayfield High School He was a former employee of the Las Cruces Housing Authority where he worked with many of our local youth and participated in many of their field trips. Joe was a recipient of the "Amy Bill Award" in 1996 for social work which helped in his education at NMSU where he graduated with a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the Las Cruces, Legends Car Club and always encouraged young people to stay in school and keep up with their studies. Joe had recently relocated to Albuquerque where he was employed by Silicon Valley, Inc. His new job included training in New York which was one of Joe's passions, to travel and explore new restaurants. He is survived by his mother, Isabel Carmona of Albuquerque; uncle, Guillermo Carmona of Las Cruces; aunt, Jacinta Duran and her husband, Osvaldo of Arvin, CA, and many close cousins who loved him very much. Friends and family may visit Monday, March 12, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow beginning at 7:00 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Sanford -- Jack H.E. Sanford passed away on March 9, 2001. He was born in Morristown, IN on July 10, 1907. He completed his high school in Indiana, and then graduated from New Mexico Western in Silver City. He taught high school and coached basketball in Reserve, NM before working for Schenley Distillers in Albuquerque for many years. During World War II he served in the US Navy. He was active in the American Legion, Ballut Abayd Temple and the BPOE. His beloved wife, Cecilia Joy, his mother, Anna, father, William, and his two sisters, Edith and Dorothy, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Anne Anderson and her husband, Bob of Albuquerque; grandson and his wife, Drs. Mark and Tracy Anderson and their daughters, Grace, Janie and Eva of Lakewood, CO, granddaughter, Lisa Anderson of Denver, CO and best friend, Becky Kolb and many, many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shrine Children's Hospital. Tolmie -- Helen Marie Tolmie, née Stonecypher, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at the age of 91. She was born in York, Nebraska in 1909, and settled in Albuquerque in 1951 when her husband, John Tolmie, started his career at Sandia National Laboratories. Helen had been a long-time resident of La Vida Llena retirement community in Albuquerque, remaining there after John's death in 1989. She is survived by her son, Don Tolmie and daughter-in-law, Sandra Tolmie of Los Alamos; her daughter, Patricia Newman and son-in-law, Wallace Newman of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, John Newman, Karen Martin, James Newman, Mark Newman, Debra Huling and David Tolmie; six great-grandchildren; a niece and three nephews; and many special friends. Services were held Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at La Vida Llena Carter Hall, 10501 Lagrima De Oro NE, with Rev. Norton Scrimshire officiating.
