Apodaca -- Freddy Apodaca III (Jr.), 35, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 9, 2000. Mr. Apodaca is survived by his mother, Marie R. Apodaca; his father, Federico Apodaca and Olivia; his sister, Veronica Apodaca; two brothers, Rico Apodaca and Eugene Apodaca; his paternal grandmother, Mary Montoya-Apodaca; his niece, Michaela Rempkowski; his nephew, Michael Rempkowski; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Freddy was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Joe and Kathy Montano. Final Visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Edmund Savilla. Interment will follow in the Los Padillas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Charles Apodaca, Richard Apodaca and Michael Trujillo. Arabadschi -- Stella Arabadschi, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died on Monday 10, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Arabadschi; son, David M. Arabadschi; sisters, Vicki Sisneros of Pueblo, CO, Lucy Gray of Lawton, OK; brothers, Andres Trujillo of Mosquero, NM and Nestor Trujillo of Bernalillo NM; numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents Andres and Racquel Gutierrez Trujillo; sisters, Helen Montoya and Corrine Sanchez; brothers, Albert Trujillo, Steven Trujillo and Frank Trujillo. Mrs. Arabadschi was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2000, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, corner of Lomas and Tennessee NE, Fr. Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Bryant -- Katie"Catherine" Bryant, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Bryant of Albuquerque, and Karey Munoz and husband, Javier; grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley Munoz all of Albuquerque; sisters, Judy Price and husband, Ed, Jeanie Foster, Carolyn Garriott, and Mary Jane Billetter and husband, Ken all of Lebanon, Indiana; brothers, Chuck Hickson and wife, Cindy of Lebanon, Indiana, and Don Hickson and wife, Jackie of Muncie, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Katy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Opal Hickson, and her brother, Bob Hickson. Katy was a resident at Albuquerque Manor Nursing Home, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Furch -- Emil Furch, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, April 9, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Bea Furch of Albuquerque; son, Steven Furch of Aurora, CO; daughters, Beth Kircher and husband, Ted of Albuquerque, and Mary Furch of National City , CA; and grandchildren, Ted Kircher, IV, and Nicole Kircher. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Furch in 1960. Mr. Furch was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Garcia -- Emily C. Garcia, a resident of Albuquerque, left us on Monday, April 10, 2000, to join her parents, Tomas and Eva Castillo, up above with our Father in heaven. She leaves behind two daughters, Janet and Jennifer Lopez; one son, Ralph L. Lopez; grandson, Randy Lopez; three sisters, Margaret, Crucita and Placy; brother, Leborio; a very special niece, Lucy; and many other nieces and nephews. As per Emily¯s request, no services will be held, except those of the family. Emily believed in God and made peace with her maker. The family would like to especially thank the University of New Mexico Hospital, whose doctors helped her in the best way they could. Hendricks -- Elfrieda A."Frieda" Hendricks. Funeral Services will be held at the Ertel Chapl in Cortez, CO on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Albuquerque, N.M. Frieda moved to Albuquerque in 1994, and then moved to the Valley Inn Nursing Home in Mancos, CO in September of 1998. She was born to Adolph and Helen (Rahn) Olen in Pittsburgh, PA., on September 20, 1909. She passed away in her sleep on April 9, 2000, at the age of 90. Frieda is survived by her loving caregiver husband, Sanford E. Hendricks, of Dolores, CO, who she has been married to for 66 years. She is also survived by her son, Don Hendricks and his wife, Joan, also of Dolores, CO; three grandchildren, Mike and Nancy Hendricks, Mark and Sunnee Hendricks, and Jill and Barry Williams; four great-grandchildren, K.C., Jaeden, Railee and Hannah; three sisters, Florence and"Mac" McPherson, Esther Bishirjian, and Elisa Miller survive Frieda, as do one niece, Debbie and Dennis Vendetti; and four nephews, George and Peggy Olen, Eddie and Beverly Olen, Richard and Terry Bishirjian, and Paul and Mary Jane Dean. Hogan -- Irene L. Hogan, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2000. Born Irene Lucille Reeher on August 18, 1926, she was the youngest of seven children of James and Lucy Reeher of Sharon, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Patrick Hogan of Mercer, PA; her parents; sister Violet A. Tennant and brothers, Edward, James, William and Arthur. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine; her son, Brian and his wife, Veronica; grandchildren, Deva Greer, Molly Cole and Leland Belmont, Scott and Kevin Marshall, and her brother, Kenneth. Her children are grateful for her unconditional love for and devotion to her family, and for the power of example set by her steadfast faith. She will additionally be remembered for her slightly wacky sense of humor, which she shared generously with all in her path. She will be buried with her husband in All Saints Cemetery, Mercer, PA.

Hooks -- Dr. Lawrence Edwin ¯Larry¯ Hooks, 64, a 14 year resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, April 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dottie Hooks of the family home; mother, Marian S. Hooks of Albuquerque; sons, Rev. Daniel M. Hooks and wife, Polly of Redfield, SD, and Steve Hooks and wife, Monica Sutton of Madisonville, TN; daughters, Marian G. Nash and husband, Jaime of Las Flores, CA, and Heather S. Hooks of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Adam, Marcus, Marion and Isaac Hooks of Redfield, SD, and Daniel, Laura, and Katherine Nash of Las Flores, CA; brother, Kenneth R. Hooks and wife, Sally of Rockville, MD; and his faithful dog ¯Yaz¯. Dr. Hooks was preceded in death by his father Maj. General Daniel E. Hooks in 1985. He graduated from Highland High School in 1952. He received a B.S. in Physics from Case Western Reserve in 1956 and received a PHD in Biomechanical Engineering from Ohio State University in 1968. Dr. Hooks served in the U.S. Air Force. He was Department Head and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, and Mercer University, Macon, GA. He retired in 1993 and returned to Albuquerque in 1997. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Daniel M. Kridelbaugh -- Anna J. Kridelbaugh, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953 died April 8, 2000. She is survived by her husband, William W. Kridelbaugh, M.D.; her daughter, Katy Macdonald, M.D. and her son, Bill; grandchildren, John, Emily and William Macdonald; one sister, Marie Herrman and one brother, George Scofield. Lockwood -- Aaron Parker Lockwood, the adored son of Kate Horsley Parker and Rhoades G. Lockwood, died suddenly in an accident on Sunday, April 9, 2000. Aaron was born on May 19, 1981. Martinez -- Frank M. Martinez, born on September 27, 1907 passed away on April 8, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Esther; a daughter, Mary Noland and husband, Mike; nephew, Richard Sandoval and wife, Geneva; and brother-in-law, Robert Sandoval and wife, Celia. Also surviving are one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Frank will be remembered as a loving family man, a good friend and neighbor. He was a life long resident of New Mexico, and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe since 1958. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sanchez -- Mary L. Sanchez, age 78, joined the Lord in heaven on April 10, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Sanchez; and by her children: Bernie S. As wife of a Bataan Prisoner of War, she valued her membership in the Bataan Veterans Organization since 1942. Sommer -- Robert"Bobby" A. Sommer, 56, a resident of Belen, NM passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque on Monday, April 10, 2000. He was a people person and enjoyed visiting and talking with everyone. Bobby was the unofficial greeter at Patty's Corner Restaurant in Belen, and he never missed a chance to stop and visit with anyone. Bobby was an avid sports enthusiast. His love for the Dallas Cowboys boarded on fanatic. At game time he and his brother-in-law, Vince would square off in front of the TV with Bobby rooting for the Cowboys all the way and Vince rooting for the other team just to be honorary and get at Bobby. He also loved Ice Hockey and Baseball and knew statistics on all the players and scores of games of old like no one else. He was preceded in death by his loving father and mother, Hans T. and Nancy Sommer. Bobby is survived by his loving sister, Nancy Roselli and her husband, Vince of Belen. He is also survived by his nieces, Sandra Martinez and her husband, Jerry and Laura Roselli; his nephew, Vincent Roselli; his great-nieces and nephews, Vinnessa, Victoria and Veronica Martinez, and John and Christopher Silva. Bobby is also survived by many loving relatives. A Viewing will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Vigil -- Gerry Vigil, 48, left us on April 9, 2000 after a brief illness. His father, Ceferino Vigil and sister, Kathy Vigil preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Vigil who's unconditional love supported him always; sisters, Jeanne Fernandez and husband, Po, Diane (Yonni) Fernandez and husband, Rafael; brothers, Richard (Dicky) Vigil and wife, Elena, Fernando (Freddie) Vigil and wife, Corinne; five nieces; four nephews; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; many counsins, aunts and uncles. He loved his nieces and nephews and they loved their"favorite uncle". His true self was expressed best in the music he played and the songs he sang as a musician. His last wishes were to donate his body to science to help others. He leaves us many treasured memories. He was loved more than he understood and will be missed more than is bearable. Our heartfelt thanks to our sister, Yonni and family for their constant bedside vigil and loving care. A Memorial Service will be held April 13, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque.
