Herrera -- In Loving Memory MARY JANE HERRERA Lord make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, joy. O Devine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born, to eternal life.

Kurgan -- Michael Robert Kurgan, born October, 1956, died November, 1999, survived by his mother and sister. Mike was loved and is now missed by more friends than even he, is his short life, could realize. We who knew him, know the truth of this true tragedy, and will forever feel the void left by this loss. Mike will always continue to be a part of our lives through our special memories of him, which we hold dear and which can never be taken from us. Mike was a good and giving person with a good heart. We thank all of you who have called and visited to express your heartfelt sympathys, and to share your friendships and love for Mike, it really softened the harshness of the media. We were amazed by the overwhelming response of Mike's friends to the less than 24 hours notice of his memorial services, the overflowing chapel was a testimony of how much Mike was loved and will forever remain a love-filled memory in our hearts. Thank you to Pastor Tom Hart for his comforting words. We thank all of you wonderful people for joining us in bidding Mike farewell from life on this earth and in wishing him peace, love and happiness in the world beyond. His loving memory will live safely forever in our hearts until we are reunited. God bless you all.

Lopez -- CARMEN H. LOPEZ 2nd Anniversary April 11, 1932 - November 14, 1997How can it be two years since you've been gone? Seems like yesterday you were holding us in your lap or tucking us in and saying prayers with us at night. We are so happy you have found eternal peace, yet our selfishness leads us to wish that you were here with us. We are ever thankful for the time we had with you on Earth. It was a blink of an eye. While you are with God for eternity, it seems like an eternity until we will meet again. Until that day, we will continue to meet in our dreams and live with you in our hearts. You live in us. Until we meet again, we love you and miss you so. Alex and Diane

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tommie Lambert. Mr. quinones was a member of the Catholic Church. He was 19 years old when he joined the U.S. Army to defend his country's freedom in World War II. Upon joining the Army, Mr. quinones rose quickly to the rank of Sergeant. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Paratrooper Division. In 1943 he and his troop were assigned a reconnaissance paratrooper drop over Sicily, which was occupied by enemy troops. During the high risk drop, several men were killed. Gabriel was one of eight men from his squad who was captured by the Germans. Upon being captured, the Germans marched him for five weeks across the Italian Straights into Germany. He was placed into a German Prisoner of War (POW) Camp called"Stallog II". He spent two years fighting the problem of just surviving. He was tortured, beaten and mentally tormented. Each day Gabriel had to use every bit of his mental and physical strength just to see the next day. From the original eight men who where captured with him, only three survived. On April 12, 1945, the Second Armored Card Division of the U. S. Army took occupation and control over the portion of Germany which Stallog II was located, freeing the surviving prisoners. Upon release, Gabriel continued duty with his Paratrooper Division. He received many medals and citation, one of which is the purple heart. Mr. Quinones, was a Hero in my eyes and in the eyes of many others, but I am only one of a few who can call him my great-grandfather.
