Albuquerque Journal Obituary Submission
Obituaries and Memorial/Anniversary notices are charged at $2.45 per line per day. For purposes of estimating linage and cost, approximately 30 characters including letters, spaces, and punctuation per line is average. If you submit a photo, it must be in JPEG format and will cost an additional 12-15$. When you submit the obituary and/or memorial the following information is required: Your Name, Address, Home Phone Number, Publishing Dates and the name of the funeral home or cremation society along with the phone number for verification. Omission of any of the prior may delay publication. For an additional $10, you may select an icon to appear in your loved ones obituary. (see bottom of web form to select)
NOTE: All obituaries and/or memorials must be verified with the funeral home before appearing in the newspaper.
Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2014 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. All obituaries must be in by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30th in order for them to be published on Sunday, August 31, 2014, Monday, September 1, 2014 and Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Thank You.
Staff is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. Obituaries must be received and approved by 3 p.m. for next day publication. We cannot be responsible for lost or delayed e-mail. Obituaries are processed in the order they are received. You will receive a call from our company to verify this obituary. Please note, effective Sunday, January 19th, 2014, we will no longer be available on Sundays to accept Monday obituaries, memorials, corrections and/or changes.
The Albuquerque Publishing Company requires prepayment for any obituary/memorial submitted. You will be contacted by a representative for approval of charges and to take your payment. We do accept any of the four major credit cards: Visa, MC, AMEX or Discover.
