Albuquerque Journal Obituary Submission
Obituaries and Memorial/Anniversary notices are charged at $2.45 per line per day (approximatley 30 characters per line to include punctuation and spacing in between words) and a charge of $25 for online ($10 online charge for Memorials/Anniversary notices). If you submit a photo, it must be in JPEG format. When you submit the obituary and/or memorial the following information is required: Your Name, Address, Home Phone Number, Publishing Dates and the name of the funeral home or cremation society along with the phone number for verification. Omission of any of the prior may delay publication. For an additional $10, you may select an icon to appear in your loved ones obituary. (see bottom of web form to select)
NOTE: All obituaries and/or memorials must be verified with the funeral home before appearing in the newspaper.
Staff is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on Saturday, calls only from 2 - 3 p.m. Obituaries must be received and approved by 3 p.m. for next day publication. Sunday and Monday's deadline is 3pm on Saturday. We cannot be responsible for lost or delayed e-mail. Obituaries are processed in the order they are received. You will receive a call from our company to verify this obituary. If you do not receive a call please call us at (505)823-3373.
The Albuquerque Publishing Company requires prepayment for any obituary/memorial submitted. You will be contacted by a representative for approval of charges and to take your payment. We do accept any of the four major credit cards: Visa, MC, AMEX or Discover.
The Obituary Department will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Deadline for Thursday, November 26, 2015 and Friday, November 27, 2015 will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Our deadline for Saturday, November 28th, Sunday November 29th and Monday, November 30th will be on Friday, November 27th at 3:00 p.m.. The office will be closed on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
