Davis -- Alonzo Merit Davis, 88, resident of Rio Rancho for 25 years, went to be with the Lord May 18th, 2001. He was the son of Alonzo and Abbie Ball Davis. He leaves his wife of 62 years Sabina (Sara) Sbordone; two daughters Jill and her husband Richars Haines of Connectticut, SUzanne Manthei of Rio Rancho. Two granddaughters and family in Connectticut and his sisters Florence and husband Caharles Logue and many nephews and nieces. He came to Rio Rancho when he retired from Pratt and Whitney and made many good friends, volunteered at the Senior Center, fishing club and St. Paul's Church. He was a good friend to all and will be missed greatly. Memorial services at St. Paul's Church will be held Thursday May 24th at 10:00 a.m. on American Road Rio Rancho
