Mason -- Jerome T. "Jerry" Mason, age 79, died Saturday July 28, 2001. He is survived by his wife; Ellie Mason, daughter; Kathy Erdman and husband Richard, daughter; Cheri Landvater, son; Jay Mason and wife Regina all of Albuquerque grandchildren; Heather Dumas and husband Chris of Kansas City, Missouri, Keith Erdman of Denver, Colorado, Kevin Erdman of Liberty, Texas, Josh Landvater of Albuquerque, and Max Mason of Albuquerque. As a businessman, Jerry owned and operated many different businesses throughout the Albuquerque area with great success. Jerry was also an active Balloonist as well as an outdoorsman. Mr. Mason served his country in both the Army and later in the Air Force. He fought in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Cremation will take place and the family will hold a Memorial Gathering at the family home: 6425 Esther NE, Monday July 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
