Pate -- Aileen Millikin Pate, 87, of Fort Collins, died Sunday, October 21, 2001 in Fort Collins. Her husband, John Pate died February 24, 2001. A Memorial and celebration of their life together will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2001, at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Collins, CO. The Reverend Ernest Peterson will officiate. Interment of Cremated Remains will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, CO. Mrs. Pate began her career with Farm Security Administration in the Regional Office in Little Rock, AR in 1939. During the war, she was employed at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. She raised two lovely daughters and then resumed her career as Training Secretary at the Air Force Reserve Office in Albuquerque, NM. Later, she was the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Electronics Division at Kirkland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. After 22 years, she retired in 1972. Mrs. Pate is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Richard and Cynthia Ahrenkiel of Lakewood, CO, and Charles and Jennifer Carpenter of Fort Collins, CO. Also surviving are three grandsons, Peter and Tommy Martin, and Andrew Carpenter; one great-granddaughter, Sian Martin; and one great-grandson, Patrick Martin. She is also survived by two step-grandsons; one step-granddaughter; one step-great-grandson; and step-great-granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Home Care & Hospice, 1800 Greeley Mall, Greeley, CO 80631.
