Martin -- A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, Bonnie Martin, 68, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 23, 2001. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Belen and the Belen and Yuma, Arizona Moose Lodge. She was a past Board of Director with Camino Rael for many years and was very active with the Special Olympics of NM and Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.F. and Grace Hicks; one sister, Willie B. Harris; and two brothers, Clyde Hicks and Lloyd Ragland. Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, D.L. Martin of Belen; her three loving children, Dennis and his wife, Debra of Norman, OK, Brenda Summers of Las Vegas, NV, and Dana Martin of Belen; four special grandchildren, Dustin and Shelly Martin of OK, and Crystal and Megan Summers of NV, and one beautiful great-granddaughter, Kameron Martin of OK. Bonnie is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. in the Romero Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Boyd Morerod officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2001 at Palm Cemetery, 1603 S. Jones, Las Vegas, NV. Romero Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
