Clarkson -- Merle Ellen Clarkson, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, died Tuesday, October 23, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Bollig and husband, Jerry of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Scott Bollig of Portland, OR and Todd Bollig and wife, Kelly of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren, Ridglea and Michael Bollig of Phoenix AZ; sisters, Betty Christian and Angela Monk of Stinnett, TX, Delores Crowley (Bobbye) of Lubbock, TX and Rosemary Gonzales and husband, Roger, of Hawthorne, CA; brothers, Bernard O'Gorman and wife, Dorothy, of Amarillo, TX and Dick O'Gorman and wife, Dorothy of TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Clarkson, in 1976; brothers, Roger, James, Michael, Ambrose and Leo O'Gorman and sisters, Marie, Loretta and Louise. Mrs. Clarkson was born in Nebraska and met her husband in Texas where they were married. Together they experienced many adventures in the oil industry. She loved to laugh and to dance. Mrs. Clarkson loved her daughter, grandchildren, sisters and brothers immensely. She was a sweet and loving spirit who will always be remembered. A Prayer Service will be held Friday, October 26, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Deacon Byron Wicker. officiating. Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 25, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit Thursday, October 25, 2001 from 6:00 p.m. until Rosary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
