Leon -- Florence Leon, 81, 15 year resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Boston, MA, died Sunday, March 18, 2001 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her three children, Rick Leon of Park City, UT, John and Margaret Leon-Danenbarger of Salem, MA and Scott and Karen Hinkle of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Mone and Raina Leon, James, Lisa and Andrea Materese, Whitney and Wade Hinkle; siblings, Grace Hattub, Michael Hattub and Joseph Hattub, all of Newport, RI and Adeline Gray of Stoughton, MA; and special caretakers, Judy Wroblewski and Yvonne Person. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Leon; daughter, Geraldine Materese; and sisters, Lorraine Jabbour and Nuzlie Catalini. She was an avid volunteer for the March of Dimes and Albuquerque Community Foundation for over eight years. Private services will be held in Boston.
