Hunton -- Vera Orilla (Granny) Hunton, 86, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 17, 2001, while surrounded by her loving family. Granny had a great interest in her crocheting; she liked working with flowers and plants, especially"Texas Bluebonnets"; she was employed with the Albuquerque Public Schools cafeteria for several years; she was a very religious person. Most of her life was spent in New Mexico. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. We love you"Granny". She was preceded in death by her husband James; a son, Fred; and a daughter, Helen Leisure. Granny is survived by her loving children, James W. Hunton and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque and Mildred Self of Summerville, GA; 10 granchildren; and 18 great granchildren. She is also survived by five brothers, Lloyd Talley of Delta, Co, David Talley of Espanola, Claudie Talley of Tuscon, AZ, Vallon Talley and Curtis Talley both of Palisade, CO. A Memorial service will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Private interment will follow. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St., NW, 898-3160
