Lesslie -- Don Lesslie, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, passed away on October 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Cary Lesslie whom he married in 1949; daughters, Les Douglass and husband, Kirby of Texas, and Donna Lesslie of Albuquerque; sons, Jeff Lesslie and wife, Jan of Albuquerque, and Keith Lesslie of Texas; grand children, Koby and Kalan Douglass, Carson Lesslie, Rick Lesslie and wife, Rachel, Kara and Katie Lesslie; great grandchild, Bailey Lesslie. He is also survived by numerous other relatives including Charlotte, Kevin, Cheryl, Jenny and Beth. Don was in the insurance business for 18 years with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas. He attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and enjoyed being a car salesman. In his later years his favorite past time was sailing, he spent time on the water with family. Don owned many properties in Kansas including a restaurant and a motel. Friends may visit Saturday October 13, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks North of Paseo Del Norte). Services will be on Monday October 15, 2001 in Sedan, Kansas, burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
