Larson -- Sharon Joyce Larson passed away on October 8, 2001. She was born in La Junta, Colorado on August 24, 1948 to Andrew J. Futrell and his wife Willie Mae Futrell. She is survived by her husband Richard E. Larson, son Eric Larson, and daughter Melissa Larson all of the home; Her mother Mrs. Willie Mae Futrell of Albuquerque; two brothers Calvin Futrell of Albuquerque and Ray Futrell of Great Falls, Virginia; two sisters Norita Stuckey and Allison Davis both of Albuquerque. Joy graduated from Valley High school in 1966. She attended a church college in Stockton, California for two semesters, then went on to attend UNM where she graduated. She married Richard Larson on September 27, 1969. She was diagnosed with MS in April 1981. She put up a valiant battle against this disease even as continued to progress. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle of Praise Church, 6013 Paradise Blvd NW, in Paradise Hills. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery in Rio Rancho. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW Albuquerque 505-343-8008.
