Lucero -- Richard Lucero, 44, went home to the Lord on January 7, 2001. Mr. Lucero worked in Advertising Services for the Albuquerque Publishing Company for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Tony Lucero and Jack Smith and his brothers, Jerry and Anthony Lucero. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Paula Lucero; mother, Ricky Smith; brother, Larry Smith and wife, Anastasia; sister, Mary Billara and husband, Joe; brothers-in-law, Cecil Tafoya and wife, Francis, Bill Tafoya and wife, Carla, and Ed Tafoya and wife, Carol; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited for Mr. Lucero at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at San Felipe de Neri. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Larry Smith, Bill Tafoya, Cecil Tafoya, Ed Tafoya, Jerry Billara and Sal Hernandez. Honorary Casket bearers will be Joe Billara, Jackson Smith, Edward Tafoya, and Andres Tafoya. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222
