Orona -- Jim Orona, 54, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2001. Mr. Orona is the beloved husband of 34 years to Mrs. Irene Orona. Mr. Orona is also survived by his two sons, James and Albert; his loving mother, Molly Orona; three sisters, Theresa Anderson, Linda Free and Lorraine; one brother, John Orona and wife, Gloria; two grandchildren, Briannna and Gabriel; close friends, Devina Calderon, Betty Borjorquez and Eric Nieto; his dog partner, Pongo; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Orona was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Visitation for Mr. Orona will be Tuesday evening after 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Martin Bojorquez, Martin Bojorquez Jr., Manuel Bojorquez, Johnny Bojorquez, Luke Ballejos and Armando Bojorquez. Honorary will be Jordon Bojorquez, Manuel Bojorquez Jr., Marlene Ballejos, Sammy Bojorquez, Brandon Ballejos and Gilbert Bojorquez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of arrangements.
